This episode is just gold. All four of them are equally funny, good listeners, know when to interrupt or when to stop. The whole show flows like a really well-oiled machine. Even the red chair was more hilarious than normal. And fly thinks he should contribute too. Love it!
+JD Dailey The format is unique to Graham, perfected over many many years. He is a genuinely nice guy, with perfect comic timing. The show is well planned, well edited, & the guests don't mind having the piss taken out of themselves. Edit, Madonna & Justin Bieber were boring as shit.
I also watch Johnathon Ross and yes the format os different but still fun and way better than shows here. I also enjoy The Mighty Boosh, Big Fat Quiz of the year, IT Crowd, Miranda and a few others. Just seems we here in the states are afraid to say anything that will piss anyone, anywhere from any time period off lol.
David Keenan OMG mila kunis was hilarious and I just watched the Cleese vs. Taylor and that is now a favorite. Never would've fathomed Taylor Swift to be funny.
I saw this filmed live and it's been edited amazingly well! Right on the part where Chris drank the fly, Graham was actually speaking to an audience member (sitting right in front of me), but it got cut short because of the fly thing... You'd NEVER know it from the editing! Just thought you might find it interesting... It *was* absolutely hilarious!! Brilliant couch :-))
Liz Bayley Omg thank you I thought I was losing my mind. The continuity of the glass on the napkin on the table was way off but the chronology of Chris' reaction and the fly scene looked flawless
Liz Bayley so I know i'm 4 years late but when Chris is drinking and notices the fly the napkin is still on the table..so how is it when the frame changes the napkin is off the table, and he's just then pulling the fly from his mouth? That's where i'm confused lol
The swallowing of the fly actually happened earlier in the show, before they cut to talking about the movie and watching the clip. Meaning by that time the napkin had already been placed there. There was a bit of a lull after Steve's 'weirdly hot' comment so that could be why the editors moved the more energetic fly moment to fit in right after it. Or possibly because right at the end of the 'weirdly hot' comment, Chris leans forward for a drink out of his (in real time, now replaced) glass, so it makes sense for him to 'discover' the fly in the drink at that point. And funnily enough as he drank from his 2nd glass he looked strangely into that one too, presumably still put off by the whole thing but to the viewer it looks as though that's when he notices something is wrong with his drink for the first time. I've watched this a few times lol.
I'm so glad these are on RUclips, this show is hysterical. Every single episode. I love Conan O'Brien, but neither Jimmy Fallon or Jimmy Kimmel measure up to this show, IMO.
Todd VanSlyck ah so you ain't the use to talk shows like this? He is great graham Norton. He appeared now and then in a comedy show called father ted. It's fucking awesome
The only thing is, it can be boring if the guests themselves are boring. You need at least one U.K. comedian, who throws in well-timed one-liners into the conversation, especially with American dramatic actors.
I discovered this show literally by accident and I cannot have enough of it... so so so funny, I keep watching different episodes and I don't get tired of it. I so much love the way Graham Norton hosts the show.... the fly incident in this episode is beyond funny!!!! Matt Demon said in one of the shows when he was invited that he never had so much fun in a talk show...and I think us, the viewers share the same feeling as Matt Demon when we watch this show.
Graham's a natural interviewer that brings out the best in his guests - he put's them at ease and there's always a sense of fun in the show... Robert DeNiro isn't a comfortable interviewee but, he's been Graham's guest 3 times - says a lot!
Michael .Green It’s good, wouldn’t say it’s one of the best. The Matt Damon one is up there though. And any with Miriam Margolyes is absolutely hilarious.
I live in NYC and it drives me a little crazy that this show is so wonderful and so consistently funny and yet the majority of Americans who actually know how great Graham Norton is as a host (and a show) consist mainly of our own movie stars, and not our public! I wish Jimmy Fallon or Letterman would have him on as a guest to show a few clips and share some of this great format he's created, along with his very generous charm and wit.
I agree... I'm in New York and in terms of talk (or 'chat') shows there's nothing close to as entertaining. Graham Norton is great, but I think the format is the most intriguing. He can bring out 3 guests who have worked with each other or three random guests like Will.I.Am with Miriam Margolyes and the dynamics are always great. By the way, if anyone hasn't seen the Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Hugh Bonneville episode I (personally) think it's the funniest talk show episode of all time.
I'm in Alberta, I agree but I also find that I don't actually, literally, laugh out loud for North American shows or show hosts. I like the guest stars, but I find a lot of times they're only on the show for a grand total of 5 minutes and then they're out of there. Not like this show, my sides are seriously killing me, I have laughed so damn much. I've seen 6 minute clips of the show on RUclips, that's how I ended up here so this is the first full show I've seen. I love this show, Graham Norton is a lively, comical, genuine host, the guest stars are hilarious, nothing is off the conversation table, they all talk openly with everyone else on the show and both Norton and his guests have a riot, and its practically a whole show with the guest stars (!) followed by a sort of guest star singer to close the show! WHAT is so difficult about this equation that North American shows can't seem to comprehend!?!? I used to start watching a North American show, get bored and change the channel but not any more lol screw those, if I'm going to spend 30-45 minutes of my life I want to enjoy it lol
AMerican here, wholeheartedly agree. Our late night shows suck so hard in comparison. I love to hear from the guests. I don't care about the hosts long as comedy bits. How many jokes can one person tell. Leno was on for what, 30 years? Norton has the best talk show in existence.
AliCat42 Ya, it's unfortunate Canadian television is just flooded with American programs. We do get programs like masterpiece mystery from the Brits though. All I can say is thank goodness for the internet or us Canadians would be so screwed! Not that we make any good shows here in Canada :P

I haven't laughed this hard in a while. I actually had tears during the fly bit and Kristen's flame dance. I think that she and Chris are cuties. There's something special about Kristen that I adore. Like the way she is graceful even when she can't stop laughing.
James Ohh, if you haven't already seen it, try to find the Graham Norton show episode with Chris O'Dowd and another Irishman on the couch (can't quite recall who the other guests were). im sorry i havent laughed so hard on a Graham norton show than this one with the "fly" incident. I watch this clip over and over every day and laugh, Chris is sooooo amazing and funny.
Tafami well its partially scripted sorry. If you simply watch the glass's and napkin on the table you will see the amounts switching during the scenes, so they obviously edited the scene to make it funnier. Now i'm sure the incident took place, but they did some re-takes to make it a funnier bit. Just watch during the incident and watch the napkin change places, glass's appear and disappear (2, then 3, then 4, then 3, etc).
There's another Graham Norton show episode with Chris O'Dowd, where a young man in the red chair tells a great story, that ends up having something to do with Chris himself. HIL-arious!
LOVED Carell's first story about 1984 visit to London. And any such story that confounds audience expectation of a certain shoe to drop, and frustrates/bewilders us by its happiness!
Discovered the show by accident as well and so glad I did. Very Jonny Carson esque, meaning real banter and real adult humor. American talk shows post Jonny are so sterilized and PC, the humor is gone. Jay Leno was so watered down he was painful too watch. It's refreshing to see real people actually talking, and being funny. Not going by scripted talking points written by the publicists. If you notice the American Actors seemed stunned at first they are being asked real questions and hesitate and as the interview goes on loosen up and let their personalities come forth. Huge new fan. From Cali.
Steve Nelson I noticed that too! It's most apparent in the episode with Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Hugh Bonneville. Matt actually seemed surprised at many of the things going on, like when Hugh took a poo break and when they started swearing. Near the end, he opened up and actually said how much fun he was having.

BEST EPISODE ON THE SHOW EVER! The chemistry between the 3 of them is just hysterically amazing! Even Josh Groban is hilarious and the red chair story is just pure brilliance!
"That's right, I am a good girl!" will probably be my favorite line from Graham Norton show, and since it is such a hilarious show in general, that is saying something!!!!!!
+wiiiissam she was talking about how she was fed up with her husband being a lazy git and how she finally decided to play a prank on him to get over how annoyed she was with his behavior. it wasn't really *that* special but at the end, you kind of applauded her bc she really just went for it haha
+wiiiissam She hoovered her husband's private part while he was asleep, and then ran away to the bathroom. She heard him shout 'what was that?' to which she replied: 'it's the best blow job you'll ever have!'
I’m in Australia and we were in the bush one day. A fly flew into my mouth and came out my nose!! True story! My daughter and husband thought it was hilarious 😂
`The opposite happened to me as a kid. was cycling on my bike and a fly flew up my nose. It was stuck back in my throat, so I had to hock it up and spat it out. was a bluebottle also, not a fruit fly or something tiny.
I had a similar experience of over the top kindness from someone in London. I'll always be grateful to the kind man on the train who not only made sure I didn't sleep through my stop, but created a tour plan for my day and walked me to my starting point with recommendations of where to eat, etc. Thanks person!
I have a recent addiction to this show, one of the best...sorry to say...better than ours here in America Thx Graham you are a great host, so funny and entertaining
Oh my sweet lord ... From 15.24 onwards to 17.20 ... I have been snorting with laughter, giggling, splurting my coffee out and howling with more hysterical laughter... Chris and 'The FLY'.. OMG.. Brilliant, unexpected, especially for the fly. and hilarious too... I even went back and watched it again... AND yep, it still makes me laugh... DOH!!
+DARTH XiLE x If you're talking about the "we swallow 8 spiders in a year while sleeping" thing, that's a myth. It could happen. but it's extremely unlikely that a spider would crawl into your mouth, and only would happen in rare and random circumstances. Or course, we do probably swallow bits of bugs and such with some of our food, since the cleaning process isn't perfect. It has to reach a certain level before it's deemed to be contaminated.
"That's right, I'm a good girl."
Gets me every time. Chris O'Dowd is hilarious.
I love that you can tell he regretted saying that as soon as he said it
Graham looked so awkward afterwards 😂😂😂😂😂
I love how the good girl in the UK is the one that doesn't swallow what the f*** yo
Right?! I had no idea how funny he is!
that was priceless.
still can't believe the whole fly thing. this show is amazing.
Love how Graham just gives hints and leaves the story to the guests.
Graham is not trying to be the centre of attention like so many other hosts. That’s why this is probably the best chat show around

This is seriously one of the best moments in a talk show ever. The fact that the fly ended up in his drink is just too perfect
"That's right, I am a good girl!" will probably be my favorite line from Graham Norton show, and since it is such a hilarious show in general, that is saying something!!!!!!
TS2014 why did he refer to himself as a girl pls
English Rose its a dirty joke referring to if a girl spits or swallows a guys’...um....yknow 👀
I could listen to Chris O'Dowd talk for days
I've honestly watched this so many times and I die of laughter every time 😂
Better than any american chat show i ever watched
Sadly true. Step it up, America!
Same
Chris is so down to earth more celebs should be like him so funny
Best interview chemistry ever. UNF. I wish Josh Groban had been there the whole time. He was obviously having a blast.
CHRIS O'DOWD IS FRICKIN' ADORABLE.
yo that lady gets to walk, like, 10 times over. best red chair story ever imo
+Kaylee Cromling What happened at the end ? accent too heavy i couldnt get it...
+Kaylee Cromling what was she planning to do before he woke up? I couldn't understand..
@@Arya2611 Vacuum his willy
Josh Groban is SO CUTE! I got to sing in a backup choir at one of his concerts. Truly amazing voice.
how can you go wrong with these three?? hilarious!
"I'm a good girl" hahaha holy fucking shit 😂
Kristen's reaction 2 Chris drinking the fly was priceless! :P
"I'm taking this thing down!".........."That's why I'm a good girl." LOL This is wonderful!
as a 18 year old i find it really weird that i'm attracted to steve ?? he has this charm about him idek
I love Graham, he gets the best guests. they fly in just for me. cindy
18:40 all I could think of was Kristen Wiig's character on SNL saying "We've got a clip"
this has to be on of the FUNNIEST Graham Norton's episodes that i've ever watched...could barely breathe at some parts XD
Lmao the fly part was the best part.. Lol sooooo funny and he is so funny to 😂😂😂
The star of this episode was the fly. And that's a lot to pull off! :D
great show...bonus that Josh Groban sings one of my favorite songs! Thank you for posting
Could not stop laughing! The fly bit and Kristen Wiigs flame dance LMFAOOOO!!!
Love the format with all of the guests out at the same time just having fun. It seems to create a lot of humor. Thanks for posting these!!
I can just HEAR Douglas Reynholm saying "A DEAD FLY"
I had a similar experience of over the top kindness from someone in London. I'll always be grateful to the kind man on the train who not only made sure I didn't sleep through my stop, but created a tour plan for my day and walked me to my starting point with recommendations of where to eat, etc. Thanks person!
Both this show and the old Late Late show with Craig Ferguson are my favorites. And I've only watched them on RUclips.
The best episode of Graham Norton hands down and that Red Chair story was the cherry topping on the cake.
I can't tell you how much I appreciated this episode. I've been laughing so much my cat punched me in the face cause I woke her up
I have a recent addiction to this show, one of the best...sorry to say...better than ours here in America
Thx Graham you are a great host, so funny and entertaining
His shows are So much fun!!
DOH!!
I’ve loved Chris O’Dowd since he was in the 2012 Australian movie “The Sapphires”.💖
"An oakey afterbirth" omfg I died lmao
The Office S04E13
Dinner Party
Top quality 👌👏 Steve Carrell
This was so funny, I am literally crying. I love this show
I have watched this episode SO MANY TIMES and it NEVER gets old. BEST. SHOW. EVER!!!
15:24 Best talk show moment ever! "I didn't realized i had any ice in there"
We laugh every single time we watch one of the episodes. Love this show!
Not the first time a guest mentions a fly in this show. It's unusual to a talk/chat show.. Get it together Graham people!
This IS the best talk show bar none
I never lol at anything, the good girl line had me on the floor.
Graham you have a natural way to drawn them all in and share the good stories! Better than American and sadly Canadian too.
one of my fave set guests, so funny & lovely
Oh... I nearly died when poor Chris ate the thing! He looks so grossed out & Steve is just laughing his ass off lol. XD
I almost cried!!! I would have torched my mouth. Poor Chris😂
why? it's just a fly...
Did you know you eat spiders in your sleep? Look it up
+DARTH XiLE x If you're talking about the "we swallow 8 spiders in a year while sleeping" thing, that's a myth.
Once i woke up and i had a dead fly inside my nose.Freaky things happen lol.
Noelia Jaime that's so creepy
This is one of the best panels of all time. All three guests are hilarious, and Graham is having a fantastic time.
I love love love Steve Carell!!
