- They said it couldn’t be done, but My Little Pony became something everyone could enjoy. Of course, some were baffled by its success, but the brony movement stayed strong, loving and tolerant as long as it could. Do I think the show that spawned their culture, Friendship is Magic, is any good? Certainly. Let me take you on a journey into Equestria from 2010 to 2014, a land of mystery, wonder, I guess consistently good storytelling, and did somepony say fun?

I actually met Andrea Libman (Pinkie Pie & Fluttershy) at a Convention in 2013 and she signed my Fluttershy poster with "Remember Me when you're a Star!"
The early years of the show were amazing
It's not hard to get into the show now but you kinda had to of been there to understand how big of an impact the show had on its viewers and Internet culture

I really love these first 4 seasons of the show. I don't think I really would've mind it if they've just ended the series here and part of me wishes had.
Come on.. give S5 and S9, S4 was the true start of the decline

I admit that I wasn't into Rarity because of her attitude but after watching a couple of episodes recently, now I understand why people love the character and Tabitha St. Germain is great in the perfect role. Dash and AJ were my top two favorites in the series.

When I first heard of this show many (back when this show was just getting started) years ago when a little brother and a older sister of one of my friends. I didn't know how to react to them watching it other than ignoring them. Then about a year or two ago my curiosity about MLPFIM got me the better of me. Then I watched the MLP 2017 movie. After that I was still confused but yet starting to finally understand why MLPFIM had the fanbase it had. When I finally checked out the TV show and I became a casual brony. The later seasons wasn't as consistently good as the early years. Yet I still enjoyed enough episodes to tolerate the shows problems. I'm looking forward to G5 and seeing if it keep me as invested in MLP like G4 managed to do so.
Around 2010 I remember a RUclipsr who I watched named TheLavaBuster (He makes anime and every once in a while cartoon reviews, he doesn't make videos anymore because of his personal life and copyright problems on RUclips) he made two videos of him watching the season one two-parter and he wasn't into it. After I saw those videos I was curious about it and well from season one to four I like the show.

I like Twilight a lot more as an Alicorn Princess because: She Has Wings and they are bigger then normal pegasus wings which makes them so great, she has a longer neck , her horn is a little bigger which means she's more powerful, and her face has got bright when she becomed an Alicorn.

@@eccentric_creampuff4983 At one point (at least Season 1) Pinkie (as well as Rainbow Dash) was my favorite of the Mane 6. But Watching this show all around, Rainbow is My Personal favorite (don't let the PFP fool you)

Season one to four will always be my favourite seasons

Interesting, I find keep calm and flutter on to be one of the best episodes of the show and Fluttershy at her strongest. Just interesting how different perspectives can lead to an episode being a flop for some people and amongst the best of the show for others

"This is an unpopular opinion, but I don't enjoy Heartwarming Eve" Finally someone who agrees! I mean it's good for world-building, but when later Pinkie tells the summarized version to Applebloom with gingerbread, I felt like it was more than enough for the run time and more creative with the visuals with being almost straight to the point.
Good review also. We are polar opposes.
Personally, Season 5 was my favorite, with 4 being a pretty close second, and Season 3 I felt was the weakest out of all 9
4's my favorite, while 5 comes a close second. They can practically stick as one whole season. I wish Crusaders of the Lost Mark and Pinkie Pride were in one season.
MLP Should have more violence to be honest
I was into this show, I had high hopes for it. But you know what happened, it ripped me off!!! It was after season 4 that it hit me that this show is the most overrated show ever made. Season 4 felt to me like a breakthrough, but wasn’t good enough. I waited patiently for Season 5 and hoped it would be an improvement of the previous season. But when it came, the show completely forgot all about it and moved to a totally lame and boring direction. I felt outraged and personally ashamed. The one thing I ever wanted from it was more ACTION and heroism, the same level as PowerPuff Girls. But it never got any. It was all wasted potential. That’s why I switched to another form that was better than the show, the IDW comics. They were more geared towards my level. Over the years, the show went more and more downhill until all the Bronies died out and gave up on it. Today, they rebooted the MLP franchise and is pretending like FIM never happened.
After season 4, Many former MLP fans transitioned into watching Steven Universe instead.

I love mlp and actually prefer the later seasons. Saying it’s “the most overrated show” is just rude to us who love it

You have to think, it was 2015 when MLP stopped getting cared about, which was also around the same time Steven Universe started taking off in popularity. I don't think Steven Universe or MLP are any better than each other, but it cannot be denied that most people stopped watching MLP after season 4.

Fucking HATED this show! The first two seasons were complete shit and undortunately the series didn't get any better after that!
I can't stand seasons 1-3 of this show. They're the show at it's corniest.
Season 4 is the best because that's where they stepped their game up.
But seasons 5-10 are just meh.
They all seem good in their own way. if you like season 4 then kudos, but don't make one season define the rest of the series as a whole. i like the beginning seasons the same, and season 5 was the best in terms of plot, music and character development. and it's ok for them to keep going until season 9 because in my eyes, each season is as good as the one before it
Season 1-3 was the show at its funniest. No season after that point comes anywhere near the original 3 in terms of humor. That being said if you want the most mature season, I’d definitely say seasons 4/5.
