I went here last year. It was really nice don’t get me wrong. But it was over run with tourists when I was there which was during June for whatever that is worth. There’s plenty of other villages in this same area with less people.
It does. I lived in the Alpes for a year. The mountains become normal, they are always there. And, they also limited the view... If you know what I mean.
Stalks of light come from the ground When I cry there isn't a sound All my feelings cannot be held I'm happy in my new strange world Shades of green grasses twine Girls drinking plasma wine A look at love, a dream unfolds Living here, you'll never grow old
I was very fortunate to work here in this beautiful place (at the campsite) for a couple of months in 2008. I sat watching the waterfall every morning as I had breakfast. When the sun is rising over the mountains it casts a rainbow in the watefall. I've never felt so at peace.
The world is full of beautiful places... My mum is Swiss (we live in NZ) and I what I respect most is the work ethic and respectful culture where ppl understand the balance between personal rights and having responsibilities to the wider community. Their standard of living comes from a commitment to education, hard work and common sense... The Swiss have something special that I hope they will protect it from the dishonest mess that is sweeping across much of Europe without becoming too insular.
My parents took me here several times in the 1970s from North Carolina when I was a child and to this day the Lauterbrunnen - Wengen - Grindelwald train loop remains the single greatest memory imprinted in my now 60 year-old mind. Nothing compares to the immeasurable beauty of this place.
If it is the most beautiful village in Switzerland then it could also be the most beautiful village in the world knowing Switzerland is truly a beauty..
there are many places like this in the world. The only thing really messed up about the world is the internet constantly gaslighting you into doomerism.
Wife and I watch RUclips on a big screen TV at home. This video came on and we were both absolutely floored with the amazing beauty that you managed to capture. It's hard to believe places like this exist. It also makes me wonder what life might have been like here 50 or 100 years ago. Well done.
Very fortunate to stay in Lauterbrunnen for about 4 days, it was truly heaven on earth. If ever you have the urge to go visit this amazing place, please do so as photos and videos just can't do it justice. The actual thing is SOOO worth visiting. CROSSED OUT one of my bucket list 😇
Wow. Simply magical. I always said I would move to Switzerland if I had a European choice. This vibe can be found just outside the big cities. But they don’t have a 1,000 foot waterfall in town! If you only had a drone!! Well done, lad.
This is probably the most beautiful place i have ever seen, its almost unreal, magical as if its outta a dream! I would LOVE to visit there someday. Its honestly a treasure. It should be preserved like Yellowstone National park. The earth is such a beautiful, wonderful place, its really quite incredible if you take the time to think about it.
My wife and I were in Switzerland at the end of May 2024. We visited many places, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen especially. This video doesn't do Lauterbrunnen justice. It was a truly magnificent little town.
Божественно красиво. Даже коровки идут чистенькие. Это просто рай на земле. Спасибо большое за ролик. Здоровья вам счастья успехов во всем. Будьте все счастливы ребята. Мира и добра вам всем. Украина. Никополь. 👋 😘 🤗 ❤ ❤
This is the last family trip I went on before my dad died - he is Austrian-German so we started out there visiting the town where his relatives had vineyards for wine on the Mosel and then to here - it is breathtaking- it is hard to believe we live in a world with nature this beautiful- we stayed at a hotel here that had a giant plastic cow on the roof - forgot the name - I love all the hiking and then skiing in winter . Beautiful country!!
Wow, this place looks like something straight out of an artist's imagination ... but it's real!! Easily one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.
This is really great - your “walk-through video” format is exactly as we would experience in visiting the location, doing our own walking tour. _Thank you!_ Cheers from Boston in the USA, new subscriber!
I live in the USA and I watch these videos often. It makes me look at my country and see how sad and broken it is. I'm seriously considering leaving my country for a better quality of life like this. Thank you.
turn off the TV and go outside man, it's not that bad. There are plenty of places like this in the US as well, Yosemite, Estes Park in Colorado, Jackson in Wyoming, West Glacier in Montana just to name a few. The problem with videos like this is you only see the good stuff, there's plenty of issues with Switzerland as well. For starters the cost of rent in this village is sky high at about 2700 USD with no real infrastructure around to provide high paying jobs to make that kind of money. The truth is anywhere that looks this good is going to be expensive to live, which is why most people just visit.
I'm from Maine, and I pretty much moved overseas in 2007 and haven't looked back. I lived in Ecuador and Albania and loved it, but I've decided to settle down in Madagascar, but not yet. There are problems everywhere like other commenters have said, but I prefer living overseas. International teaching jobs have been my way. It's a beautiful world and people are good out there although the news would have you think otherwise.
I live at the beach in Ft Lauderdale with an Ocean view but this is a whole new level of terrain and just aesthetic beauty everywhere that I’ve ever seen. Great to watch before bed too
This video covers a very very scenic area. There are many such videos on similar subjects and some of them are good, , yet, among them, this one stands out strikingly.
We stayed in a campsite in Lauterbrunnen in 1976. We visited Wengen, Interlaken, Grindenwald and walked over to Murren. It’s right under the Jung Frau mountain peak. It was spectacular. Was introduced to my first apple schnitzel! We went back again in 1982. Looking at this YT clip, Lauterbrunnen has not changed one bit! Amazing place.
We were there in 2002. What a beautiful village - can't wait to go back! Thanks for posting. Going now to the large smart TV to show the video to my wife (and ask her when we should go back)
Reminds me alot of a place we have here in California - Yosemite Valley. I think I prefer Yosemite because it has a winding shallow river down the center and taller granite walls. Both beautiful.
this place gives me that....get away from it all vibes, as in i wanna go here and get away from everything, this looks like such a cozy nice friendly area, tucked in a valley surrounded by hills, with great views,
My older brother and I rented bikes and rode them from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen last year. While the distance between the two is very short, the views along the way made every second feel like a year in the best way possible. Cheers.
