    Walt Disney’s quote
“We don’t make movies to make money, we make money to make more movies” is actually coming to fruition in this day and age. From a business perspective this makes sense but I miss the creativity aspect Disney had. It’s also sad that several other movie studios like Dreamworks and Illumination are following this path too of multiple sequels and milking franchises.

It’s something I’ll always adore and admire about Studio Ghibli. The closest thing they’ve done to a sequel was The Cat Returns, which is technically a spin-off of Whisper of The Heart. Tho, there is speculation on a Nausicaä sequel. Regardless, every film stands on its own and says everything they want to within their runtime

I mean, he is not wrong. In terms of Pixar, they need money to continue making films. People asked for original content instead of sequels. They made 5 original movie since 2020. Yet no one wanted to love these films. They all complained about films are not being like old Pixar. Three of them victim of Covid and D+. Elemental is victim of marketing. It got too much hate for no reason. I still don't understand that much hate. I'm not defending Disney and Pixar but people nowadays don't like anything and complaining, hating everything.

It's so unnecessary. Toy Story 3 was heartbreaking, but I feel like it was a great ending to the franchise. Andy gives away his toys and allows them to brighten the life of the next child who plays with them. "Why they would continue it after that is beyong me" is what *want* to say, but I know it's because they want to milk it for all its worth.

I’m sure had Walt lived longer, he would’ve made an exception for Toy Story 2 to be made considering that one came from a passionate motivation to continue the story and explore not only Woody’s history as a rare collector’s item based on an obscure in-universe character from an equally obscure children’s show, but the next psychological implications in a toy’s life where not only do they have to deal with their own morality like falling apart or voice boxes not working as properly anymore, but the morality of their owners as they inevitably get older and outgrow them and play less with them or take them everywhere they go. Also helping that John’s motivation for making the sequel from seeing a little boy at an airport holding a Woody doll and being excited to show it to his father and telling it to Walt would’ve moved him enough to let John and the crew make the sequel.

It’s always been my belief that an ideal sequel should complement the first in many ways. It should be a logical step forward in the development of the characters, story, and world. A lot of the Disney sequels don’t do this for me, even some of the Pixar sequels.
The oncoming onslaught of sequels most definitely feel like cash grabs, and I can’t imagine any of these besides Inside Out 2 and MAYBEEEE Moana 2 or Zootopia 2 being at least serviceable and complementing their previous films. The way of business and especially of Disney tho is to milk a prize cow absolutely dry, even if it’s the bones that are being milked…

To quote Travis Knight, CEO and President of Laika Studios:
"I take a firm stand against sequels. My industry brethren are a little shocked at how firmly I’m committed to not doing sequels. Of course there are great sequels. The Godfather: Part II, The Empire Strikes Back. But I think if you look at where our industry is going, it’s dominated by franchises and brands, redos, remakes, sequels and prequels, where all these old presents are rewrapped and offered up as new gifts. The way we approach our stories is we imagine each film as if it’s the most meaningful experience of our protagonist’s life. If that’s your point of view, your sequel is automatically either going to be (A) a diminishment of that - is it the second most important experience of your protagonist’s life? Or, (B) you’ve got to crank up the volume so much, everything’s sensory overload, and becomes comical how much you have to ratchet it up to justify its existence. I’m not interested in that. I don’t want to do that. I want to tell new and original stories."
This pretty much sums why studios like Laika or Cartoon Saloon don’t ever produce a sequel.

    • @justinpassing4003
      @justinpassing4003 3 месяца назад

Laika and Cartoon Saloon are also both private companies, which means their shareholders are a small, select group of people. With public companies like Disney, just about anybody can become a shareholder and influence the company's business practices, for better or for worse (and when it comes to artistic mediums, it's almost always for the worse).
Then again, Disney has been public since 1940 and didn't start seriously committing to making sequels until the 1990s.

That one at least has potential in taking a similar page from the Toy Story sequels before the 4th film and having the main human child, this case Riley, also grow with her audience as most of the younger kids who saw Inside Out nearly a decade ago are also going to be entering their teens and having her and her personified emotions dealing with the next stage of her life and the oncoming obstacles they’re going to have to navigate; especially made harder with the development of new emotions.

Disney really needs to take notes from DreamWorks on how to make great sequels. Aside from Toy Story 2 and 3, many of their other sequels are nowhere near as strong as their originals. They don't seem to have the same type of magic.
When it comes to DreamWorks, their sequels tend to be even better than the first film of each of their franchises, especially when it comes to the second film in the franchise. From Shrek to Kung Fu Panda to How to Train Your Dragon, the first films of each were fantastic. Yet somehow, the second films in each franchise managed to surpass the quality of the first film. Sure, they tend to struggle a little bit with the threequels. But even they can be enjoyable as well (except Shrek the Third).
I still remain hopeful for Disney and Pixar in the future. However, if they get into a habit of just making sequels and very few originals, that could end up being a problem. That being said, I hope these upcoming sequels have good stories and are not just cashgrabs. The one I really have the most hope for is Zootopia 2 and that's it. But I'm still gonna give them a chance and hope for the best.

Even during the golden ages, Disney films primarily focus on legends and fairy tales and stories that kinda sorta already exist. They may expand upon the original source, sure, but the core is primarily something that already exists. As a result, they don't really have the foundation to continue on past "And they lived happily ever after".
Dreamworks and Pixar, however, make mostly original stories from the word go, and thus have new characters in new worlds with rules and lore established. They know how to make the foundation, they know what makes each character tick, and have more freedom to explore where they might go.

I’d at least give Zootopia’s sequel a chance. Out of all these sequel announcements, Zootopia makes the most sense. In some ways, it can be seen as a one-off story but it has the advantage of having built a whole world that is left to be explored more so should Disney make that sequel and make it right and wonderful then I think they’ll have a real winner and potential for a whole franchise that can last them a very long time just so long as they know how to tell stories correctly and not constantly make them about just Nick and Judy. There’s a lot of room for more new stories, characters and even life outside the city of Zootopia.

If activist Nelson Peltz (now partnered up with Elon Musk) can buy Disney and fire the people who have been making the already released movies be poorly written woke disasters and have those people be relpaced by people who do care about the franchises that Disney has. Then the unreleased movies could likely get delayed so they can be rewritten to have a better story plot then get released as successful entertaining movies instead of being new flops. Also there could finally be an end to those horrible unwanted live-action remakes if those greedy people especially CEO Bob Iger, get fired and are never allowed to have a job in the Disney company again.

Yes, I get that Merida is a brat at first, but it's kind of the point that she's supposed to clean up her own mess and learn to appreciate Elinor's diplomacy more. Merida's strength is also her weakness: her fierce independence. It's a strength within the context of traversing the wilderness and knowing how to take care of yourself, but it's a liability in a political setting where you have to depend on others and it can come across as off-putting or even insulting to the other party.
I think the film did a decent job at capturing the tumultuous relationship between mother and teenage daughter, and having them both compromise and meet each other in the middle. I understand if it's not everyone's cup of tea and that's okay, but I don't think it's a bad movie.

My favorite sequels from the direct to DVD series were Lion King 2, Beauty and the Beast 2, Little Mermaid 2 and Cinderella 3 (despite this one was kinda cheating because it had much better animation and actual storytelling) Really, the only two I absolutely cannot stand to this day are Pocahontas 2 and Hunchback 2 because of how little Disney cared about their movies. And these are two movies amongst many that work so much better as just the one movie/story instead of needing a continuation. Because all their sequels did was fail to understand the characters or the story of the original movie. Like, Hunchback 2 actually could’ve been an interesting story IF it had Quasi falling in love naturally and he isn’t still trapped in the belltower with those annoying gargoyles. I actually could’ve seen him becoming a carpenter or toymaker with his carving skills from the first movie. The movie is such an awful mess.
With the new slate of movies, the only ones I’m actually excited for is Zootopia and Inside Out. Frankly, I am literally sick of Frozen and kinda hopes it’s over saturation ends up destroying itself. Kristoff still doesn’t have a story of his own and I’m really worried both movies are gonna focus on Elsa like the first two. Really, what other stories can be told, considering Elsa is a spirit (still don’t get that considering ice is literally frozen water!!)
I always wished Tangled got a sequel, but the series it got is a thousand times better than several big screen sequels like Ralph Breaks the Internet. Plus I’d rather have a series filled with various stories than one giant story that could easily go wrong. Like, why Vanellope put her own game in danger just because she isn’t happy anymore and wants to be in a game she could’ve easily died in before being programmed to not be erased if she dies in the game?? And how is the game supposed to explain to the players the main character ON THE SIDE OF THE CONSOLE isn’t a playable character anymore??

I'm sorry, but Lion King 2 WAS a good movie in its own right, especially considering the effort and the choices made it a seamless sequel as compared to Lion King 1 1/2, which was more of a long-winded recap... so I can't agree with you adding footage from it into the video at the point at which you did. Also, while Cinderella 2 wasn't great, the step sister sequence you pulled was the best part of that sequel.
Where Disney Sequels do have an issue with being half-baked and unnecessary, you appear to have a problem with using footage that is poorly thought out and unnecessary that doesn't fully illustrate your points.
Lion King 2 continued on from Simba's story and while it now followed mostly the story of the next generation, Simba did function in the movie, now finding himself in the position his father was at, but with the distrust he'd gained from Scar's betrayal which informs his choices here. Meanwhile his daughter, Kiara, has her mother and father's former eager and adventuring personality and none of the caution likely because of a lack of personal experience. Where Lion King one very vaguely reminds of Hamlet, Lion King two reminds of Romeo & Juliet, which is a fairly clever way of creating consistency between the first and second movie, and it was executed... reasonably well. Like Lion King 1, it too had music -- granted, maybe it wasn't /as/ great, but, honestly, My Lullaby, We Are One and One of Us were still good songs, which show that effort was taken to try and recapture both the familial and romantic love elements in the music of the first movie, the intimidating epicness of the villain songs and the sweetness of the hero songs. The animation also remained of good quality - maybe not /as/ high, but there isn't a particularly visible drop in quality. I wouldn't have known it was a direct-to-dvd sequel, had you tube not constantly gone on about it. It doesn't feel like it should be.
Okay, so maybe you could still argue it wasn't necessary, but then, I dunno, most sequels aren't, I don't see how Marry Poppins needed a sequel. But, it was still nice to see how Simba went on as a father, taking on yet another responsibility in life, and reminding us that people aren't generally born fathers, and that parenting styles can be informed by ones past. Simba's parenting was informed by his past with Scar and outcasts, and hence he is on high alert around Kovu. He is informed by trauma. (Which doesn't disappear just because of a love song, and your father's face appearing in the clouds.) And Zira's parenting is informed by her vindictiveness, and her self-centred goals which have her push Kovu against what he would've wanted to do - just be a cub and play with the other pride's cub, even if the other pride is the enemy. It's an interesting route to explore, and, considering Mufasa was just shown as the kinda-sorta-absentee-but-otherwise-has-a-perfect-personality type father, seeing a more flawed but involved father who is present in his daughter's life... isn't so bad. I mean, we already have Triton, but he seems less present overall and you don't get the same dynamic between Triton and Eric... so, this is still new ground being explored.
Without redeeming all the villains, Cinderella 2 takes a stab at trying to explore the possibility of one of the step sisters wanting to change, but being heavily influenced by her mother - who she would've had to suffered longer than Cinderella, seeing as she's her biological daughter, and even if she was not made a servant initially, she still was expected to do this and that and had her goals effectively set out by her mother by the looks of it. And when she tries to step off the path created for her by her mother, her mother doesn't take to it well. So while spoilt, she's spoilt on in ways which the step mother deems necessary to have her daughter live out the life she wants, not the life her daughter might want for herself. Here, Cinderella gets to yet again show her kindness by not only being helpful, but choosing to help a person who had previously wronged her, showcasing just how strong her character is. It doesn't however redeem the stepmother herself, which is more than fair and keeps her as villain. It's not like it's one of those new villain-turned-good-guy-or-antihero type movies, so...
And yes, if you were to tell me that Cinderella 2 is weaker than its predecessor, I would agree, especially considering that's not the only storyline in this movie, but it's like the only one I care for. Cinderella 3 feels like a much better sequel. And yes, to me, Lion King 2 is also better than this, just by nature of it being of consistently better quality, rather than just having one interesting and sweet story.
While The Little Mermaid's sequel isn't perfect, I, again, like the reversal of roles for Ariel, and the fact that now the desires are reversed - where Ariel wanted to go on land, her daughter wants to go to the sea. Is it perfect? No. Does the music match in quality? No. But it's not offensively worse -- frankly, there are still some better pieces than in some of the modern non-sequel movies... so... can you blame them for going for sequels when even if they're meh, that's still better than some of the stuff that just blatantly insults the predecessor pieces by not understanding them at all? Or some of the comments from actors working on the live-action versions of beloved Disney Classics that are ill-informed at best? Compared to all that, a sequel that at least tries to continue a tale, even if it doesn't have all the effort of the initial story put into it, as it isn't expecting as many returns as an "original" product... is honestly less offensive. Although tbf, they did also move onto making big screen sequels realising their potential for profit pretty fast...
I'd even argue Bambi 2 was pretty solid in most respects. It built on the dynamics between father and son, it maintained the gorgeous style, and had its own messages to tell.
Sure, maybe they're not the most financially lucrative movies, but arguably, they do have some soul there, and I do think they have potential.
And not all sequels are great, no, so I do kind of agree with you -- Aladdin 2 was... mixed..., Lion King 1 1/2 was, at least to me, not great, Wreck it Ralph also had me conflicted, and there are sequels I don't even want to touch on account of the fact that I don't see what they could possibly want to explore that would be interesting or respectful. Frozen 2 was a mess, somehow even more so than Frozen 1. HTTYD 3 was my least favourite from the franchise, Cars 2 was... eh, I didn't bother with the Toy Story franchise past the third movie since that one never appealed to me as much, Despicable Me 3 was everything we did. not. need. or want. Shrek 3... also sucked with the exception of a few fun scenes. And, hey, it's not just Disney that sucks. Sequels suck for most studios, and... Disney actually does quite well with most of them for the most part. There are some that really feel like a slap in the face, but most are pretty good. And also, Brave and Brother Bear are actually pretty solid in their own right. Nothing ridiculously offensive, wonderful animation and soundtrack, if perhaps not the most memorable, neat messages, etc. I just say this because there are some folk here that felt the need to share their opinion so I wanna share mine in return. It's only fair. Even Brother Bear 2 isn't as bad as many of the non-Disney sequels.

I personally wonder how well these six sequels are going to do financially, considering how much of a hot mess the box office is these days. In all fairness, I don't think any of them will *bomb,* and Toy Story 5 will absolutely do better than Lightyear (because Disney should never do sci-fi; that's my motto), but considering the fact that the box office numbers are now so bad that Argyle was #1 last week despite not even making *seven* million dollars, I end up with doubts that any of the sequels are going to have grosses on par with their immediate predecessors (again, minus Toy Story 5 which in terms of release order is following Lightyear, but even it still has TS4 to live up to in terms of the main series). And when you consider that they're all going to be released over (likely) the next four years with the only break being Elio (*another* sci-fi film I might add)...yeah, I think there's going to be tremendous audience fatigue by the time Frozen 4 drops, particularly since that could very well drop a year after Frozen 3, which itself is not a good sign for brand loyalty. But again, I think they're all going to do pretty good business; the question is just how good (especially if Frozen 3 and 4 are released back-to-back which considering the 9-month gap between their announcements makes unfortunate sense)

Disney keeps suffering from a really bad case of sequelitis type B: keeps pumping out new sequels of multiple IPs in a short amount of time unlike type A where long-running cash-cow franchises keeps pumping out sequels nonstop. Both cases are just awful.
Just like many diseases, there will be sometimes better times than most times but most times is mostly bad just like a rollercoaster.
It's rare for corporations or long running franchises to handle sequelitis well where they keep up with the qualities and doing it just because they just genuinely have love and passion for the franchises as much as the fans and not doing it mainly for just cash. Maybe this don't qualifies as sequelitis and it's just long running franchises as sequelitis is defined by the suffering of constant significant drop of quality forced to run like an exhausted dying zombie horse on life support.

Inside Out 2 is definitely one of those rare exceptions as well as I can tell there’s more passionate motivation behind it than financial and like TS2, is delving into more heavy and mature subject matter with Riley now a teen and entering middle school and going to experience a lot more harder obstacles and more intense emotions than the one she dealt in the first film with moving.

I just hope that in the movie of Shrek 5, once Disney buys DreamWorks, all The Official Disney Princes and all The Official Disney Princesses appear, especially the most important character in the movie of The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea, Melody, The Daughter of Prince Eric and Princess Ariel, with her best friends Tip, Dash, Kiera and Catalina, and besides, they will be the new main characters of the movie of Shrek 5 so that they help Shrek, Princess Fiona, Donkey, Dragon, Puss in Boots, Kitty Softpaws, Perrito, Dulcinea, The Three Diablos, Goldilocks, The Three Bears, Prince Lancelot, Princess Tiffany, King Artie, Princess Guinevere, The Children of Shrek and Princess Fiona: Fergus, Farkle and Felicia, The Children of Donkey and Dragon: Bananas, Parfait, Peanut, Eclair, Coco and Debbie and The Others to defeat Rumpelstiltskin, Death, all The Official Villains of Disney and all The Official Villains of DreamWorks, as Queen Grimhilde, Lady Tremaine, Maleficent, Marina del Rey, Ursula, Gaston LeGume, Jafar, John Ratcliffe, Shan Yu, Dr. Facilier, Zhan Tiri, Judge Claude Frollo, Mother Gothel, Tamatoa, Kakamora, Drago Bludvist, Grimmel The Grisly, Mor'du, King Runeard, Prince Hans, Pitch Black, The Druun, The Soldiers, Dr. Zara, Queen Nerissa, King Magnifico, Morgana, Evil Rapunzel and Drizella Tremaine, and to prevent Rumpelstiltskin, Death, all The Official Villains of Disney and all The Official Villains of DreamWorks from ruling and destroying all The Multiverse Forever, especially The Kingdom of Far Far Away, Shrek along with his wife named Princess Fiona will need help from their new friends which are all The Official Disney Princes and all The Official Disney Princesses, as Prince Florian, Princess Snow White, Prince Charming, Princess Cinderella, The Baker, Anastasia Tremaine, Prince Philip, Princess Aurora, Prince Eric, Princess Ariel, Prince Adam, Princess Belle, Prince Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, Prince John Smith, Princess Pocahontas, Prince Li Shang, Princess Fa Mulan, Prince Naveen, Princess Tiana, Prince Flynn Rider, Princess Rapunzel, Varian, Cassandra, Maui, Queen Moana Waialiki, Hiccup Haddock, Princess Merida, Kristoff Bjorgman, Queen Anna, Jack Frost, Princess Elsa, Jin, Yi, Connor, Ruby Gillman, Starboy, Princess Asha, Mateo, Queen Elena, Prince Desmond, Princess Amber, Prince James, Princess Isabel, Prince Hugo, Princess Sofia, Princess Raya, Princess Mirabel Madrigal, Namaari, The Other Six Princesses of The Kingdom of Atlantica and Melody, but actually, Melody is The First and Only that she is not a True Official Disney Princess, because Melody made her debut in the movie of The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea and it is also because she is The First and Only Daughter of an Official Disney Princess, but Shrek, Princess Fiona, Donkey, Dragon, Puss in Boots, Kitty Softpaws, Perrito, Dulcinea, The Three Diablos, Goldilocks, The Three Bears, Prince Lancelot, Princess Tiffany, King Artie, Princess Guinevere, The Children of Shrek and Princess Fiona: Fergus, Farkle and Felicia, The Children of Donkey and Dragon: Bananas, Parfait, Peanut, Eclair, Coco and Debbie and The Others also need Melody's help to protect and save all The Multiverse, especially Their Kingdom of Far Far Away away from Rumpelstiltskin, Death, all The Official Villains of Disney and all The Official Villains of DreamWorks, because Melody is The Daughter of Prince Eric and Princess Ariel, but also The Death of Queen Lillian, because since her husband named King Harold passed away in the movie of Shrek 3, she has felt heartbroken and that caused her own death in her Kingdom of Far Far Away, and all The Inhabitants of The Kingdom of Far Far Away are saddened by The Death of Queen Lillian, because now she is with her husband named King Harold in heaven, and now they have lost their queen, that means now The Kingdom of Far Far Away needs a new queen and King Artie said that his love interest, girlfriend, fiancée and former classmate from Worcestershire school called Princess Guinevere would be the one to be The New Queen of Far Far Away, so King Artie decided to return to his old school called Worcestershire along with Shrek, with his older cousin Princess Fiona, with Donkey, with Dragon, with Puss in Boots, with Kitty Softpaws, with Perrito, with Dulcinea, with The Three Diablos, with Goldilocks, with The Three Bears, with The Children of Shrek and Princess Fiona: Fergus, Farkle and Felicia, with The Children of Donkey and Dragon: Bananas, Parfait, Peanut, Eclair, Coco and Debbie and with the Others to meet again with their friends from their school who are actually Prince Lancelot, Princess Tiffany and his love interest, girlfriend and fiancée Princess Guinevere to take them back to his Kingdom of Far Far Away, and also The Romance of all The Official Disney Princes and all The Official Disney Princesses, especially The Romance of Maui and Queen Moana Waialiki, The Romance of Hiccup Haddock and Princess Merida, The Romance of Jack Frost and Princess Elsa, The Romance of Varian and Cassandra, The Romance of Starboy and Princess Asha, The Romance of Prince Lancelot and Princess Tiffany and The Romance of King Artie and Princess Guinevere, because I think that Maui will be Queen Moana Waialiki's love interest, boyfriend and fiancé, while Hiccup Haddock will be Princess Merida's love interest and boyfriend, Princess Tiffany will be Prince Lancelot's love interest, girlfriend and fiancée and Princess Guinevere will be King Artie's love interest, girlfriend and fiancée, because Queen Moana Waialiki is going to fall in love with Maui, Princess Merida is going to fall in love Hiccup Haddock, Princess Tiffany is going to fall in love with Prince Lancelot and Princess Guinevere is going to fall in love with King Artie, but they don't know how to tell them their feelings towards them and neither how to win their hearts, because every time Queen Moana Waialiki gets too close to Maui when it comes to true love, she gets very nervous with him, while which in the case of Princess Merida is also the same, because whenever Princess Merida gets too close to Hiccup Haddock when it comes to true love, she also gets very nervous with him, in the case of Princess Tiffany it is also the same, because whenever Princess Tiffany gets too close to Prince Lancelot when it comes to true love, she also gets very nervous around him, and in the case of Princess Guinevere too, because every time Princess Guinevere gets too close to King Artie when it comes to true love, she also gets very nervous around him, but luckily for them, Princess Fiona will help Queen Moana Waialiki to win The Heart of Maui, also Princess Merida to win The Heart of Hiccup Haddock, also Princess Tiffany to win The Heart of Prince Lancelot and also Princess Guinevere to win The Heart of King Artie, and I also want that Jack Frost will be Princess Elsa's love interest and boyfriend and Varian will be Cassandra's love interest and boyfriend, because Jack Frost leaves fall in love with Princess Elsa, but he doesn't know how to tell her his feelings and how to win her heart, because every time Jack Frost gets too close to Princess Elsa when it comes to true love, he gets very nervous with her, because Varian leaves fall in love with Cassandra, but he doesn't know how to tell her his feelings and how to win her heart, because every time Varian gets too close to Cassandra when it comes to true love, he gets very nervous with her, but fortunately for they, Shrek will help Jack Frost to win The Heart of Princess Elsa and also Varian to win The Heart of Cassandra, except Goldilocks, Namaari, Princess Raya and Princess Mirabel Madrigal, because now they will be The Only Official Disney Princesses who do not need to have love interests and who can remain single forever, and also the same for Melody, The Daughter of Prince Eric and Princess Ariel, because like her new adoptive aunts Goldilocks, Namaari, Princess Raya and Princess Mirabel Madrigal, she doesn't need a love interest either, but also The Rivalry of King Artie and Queen Anna because they both want to compete in a challenge to see who is The Best Ruler of a Kingdom, because both want to do what is best for Their Own Kingdom, because King Artie wants to do the best for his Kingdom of Far Far Away because now he is The New King of Far Far Away and Queen Anna wants to do the best for her Kingdom of Arendelle because now she is The New Queen of Arendelle, but at the end, King Artie and Queen Anna become best friends in the world, because at the end, they both learned from their mistakes that they have made since their challenge to compete to see who is the best ruler of a Kingdom, and that at the end, King Artie and Princess Guinevere see their first true love kiss and that they become a romantic couple, just like Prince Lancelot and Princess Tiffany, and also that at the end of the movie of Shrek 5, Shrek becomes The New Leader of The Official Disney Princes and Maui, Hiccup Haddock, Kristoff Bjorgman, Jack Frost, Varian, Jin, Connor, The Baker, Starboy, Mateo, Prince Desmond, Prince James, Prince Hugo, Prince Lancelot and King Artie become The New Official Members of The Official Disney Princes, while Princess Fiona becomes The New Leader of The Official Disney Princesses and Queen Anna, Princess Elsa, Cassandra, Yi, Ruby Gillman, Anastasia Tremaine, Princess Asha, Queen Elena, Princess Amber, Princess Isabel, Princess Sofia, Goldilocks, Namaari, The Other Six Princesses of The Kingdom of Atlantica, Princess Raya, Princess Mirabel Madrigal, Princess Tiffany and Princess Guinevere become The New Official Members of The Official Disney Princesses and that one day, Princess Tiffany will be The Wife of Prince Lancelot and that they have a family in the future, and that also Princess Guinevere is The Wife of King Artie, that they also have a family and that she becomes The New Queen of Far Far Away in The Future.

Frozen 2 is the most nothing movie I have ever seen. It's just so nonsensical, boring, and uninteresting. The elemental spirits are super cliche, and they are practically pets more than anything else, (or at least they are by the time the movie is over). Elsa doesn't need pets. She needs a human who can put her in her place. The writers and directors should've chosen the obvious route and just say there are other humans with powers just like Elsa. Sure, it might seem like an X-Men ripoff, but it would've been way more interesting and at least made sense. Maybe the humans represent different seasons, and Elsa is the spirit of winter. Maybe the other humans hate Elsa because winter is gloomy and stuff. And the spring spirit especially hates Elsa because she can't grow plants during winter. Or we could just say the humans are not seasonal spirits and just have powers. They try to convince Elsa to abandon her sister since Anna doesn't have powers, and join them instead. Or maybe these humans tempt Anna into getting powers of her own. I'm sure there are much better directions than this, but these are just a few of my thoughts.

I hate the fact that they kinda blaming the ORIGINAL FILMS for not been successful and now they want to make only sequels, when in reality, films like Luca, Soul (and I not even a fan of this one), Turning Red, Encanto and possibly even RAYA would had been successful if not was because of the pandemic, then when they decide to finally release something in theaters, they release the worst ones, Lightyear, Strange World, Wish and Elemental (which was the only decent one of the bunch, but not great neither), if they just had release those pandemic films in theaters without covid, maybe the story would have been different......now we have this sequel era time, and it's going to probably be bad, I wish they where doing these out of love and passion, but is just money, the Moana 2 is just what they wanted as a TV SERIES, how they going to make that work for a theatrical release? is beyond me, Frozen 3 and 4 is just desperation, and so Toy Story 5, the most UNNECESSARY SEQUEL EVER ANNOUNCE, and the less we talk about the live actions THE BETTER. This is just sad man, as a Disney fan who use to pretty much love everything this company did, from the Little Mermaid to Moana (with some exception of course....cof, Chicken Little, cof, Brother Bear, cof, Brave, cof Cars 2, etc ...cof cof), Since Ralph Breaks the Internet to today, Disney have loss their magic, yes we get an occasional nice movie like Encanto or Turning Red, but now that felt like LUCKY SHOTS, more than planned successes, and everything they are doing now days, even outside Disney Animation just reek DESPERATION.

Well, considering the fact some things are actually lies, just like how they say Cars 2 is the start of Pixar's downfall, same with Lightyear, on the other hand, the problem isn't necessarily the sequel, it's actually the writing. Okay wow, who knew this is one of the reasons why some things shouldn't existed/be made, no wonder they say Disney, and other movie/tv channel studios has lost their touch in making something good, you know, since it doesn't make much sense to make something terrible or lie to the fans about it to make money, which also seems unnecessary to make live action versions of Disney movies.
