I hate it when people fake injuries like this as it takes the lifeguards attention away from the water.
Ye but there was still a lifeguard at the tower but they do also help sometimes with things just of the beach
Ruby-Mae Collins doesn't mean that they don't still need all the eyes on the water that they can get, there's only about 8 lifeguards on patrol so if 2 are wasting time on a fake injury there's only 6 other lifeguards covering the whole kilometre of beach

@@nadiab4585 it's just a shorthand used by medical personell. When I was a beach lifeguard we would call it in over the radio as "a possible spinal". Fewer words are better when communicating via radio.

Having been genuinely ill in hospital with acute appendicitis recently for around 4 days after taking over 12 hours to finally seek any help this gal really winds me up. I no longer have an appendix but I have my life and I’m grateful to those who helped me. 🙏 lifeguards and medical staff are so busy and work so hard, so seeing people waste those resources whilst others who need it suffer in silence is so frustrating.
me too i suffered a spinal injury due to a violent ex and it took m 3 years to learn to gain some mobility again and 7 month on a spinal unit , so it really annoys me

Dear Bondi Lifeguards, you guys are a life living! No matter what culture someone is they help! You guys are so so nice and I don’t know what else to say. You guys are one of the best lifeguards (in my opinion) Please keep up the great work! I’ve watched you guys ever since you were in my recommend and I think that was about 5 or 4 months ago! I always beg my mum to come to Bondi beach but she always says next time!

I broke my neck in 2012, 2 days after i was laying on my couch and my legs went numb. I went back to the er like my doctors advised (I was supposed to be paralyzed) and they used a metal scalpel on the bottom of my foot to see if I could feel anything and I couldn’t. This girl is lucky they only felt her feet.
When ever I hear the word suspicious I always get this in my head: don’t be suspicious don’t be suspicious

She probably was in shock and once the pain medication wore off, she could walk herself out of there. Accidents happen in water all the time and people can go into shock. I think we all need to be happy that she is ok!
Being in shock doesn’t cause your legs have no sensation for an extended period of time. Also the green whistle might make her drowsy but it wouldn’t prevent her from walking. For whatever reason, she was likely lying about the symptoms
I would tell her she would have to “*stay in a hospital for about 22 months*” :) uhm to teach her a lesson

I'm from Vancouver, but I've gone camping at higher elevations in August and it's been very snowy and cold. It is very possible that it's too cold at this time in Canada to go to the beach... especially the further you go North.

You can’t fake a spinal! I partially dislocated my shoulder twice in less than a month and plus I get injured a lot and I always get told to be honest (which I am). If you aren’t honest to the people trying to get to the bottom of the problem, then they can’t help
My older brother got a head injury at the beach there was lots of blood. At the time i was 10 so you could probably imagine how traumatizing it was for me. Thankfully it was nothing permanent and it definitely looked worse then it really was. This women is wasting their time and I cant imagine if someone needed help but, wasn't getting it because this girl wanted attention.
The thing is, this lady has all of the attention on her, while there are people who ACTUALLY NEED HELP LOL
