  • Every weekend during his artist-in-residency at Golden Swan Resort in Yang Mei Taiwan Colin gave concert in the gardens and in the pool area which had great acoustics for some of the instruments. The 90% humidity outside was an excellent preparation for the steamy atmosphere inside. The Syrinx Aruanus conch shell is from the Gulf of Carpentaria in Australias north so the shell sounded right at home in the wet heat! www.colinofford...

Hello from the future. The snails that live in those are called "Australian Trumpets", and yeah, they can grow up to 1m long, so pretty damn big!

What happens at 3:52? What is the song about? Who would have sung it or is it something he made up? Its nice. I think he'd do well with some mongolian throat singers.

He sings at 4m08s... I do not know what is called this kind of sings, maybe "Ancient Chant". But "Ataraxia" also sings like that. RUclips video : "Ataraxia - Kremasta Nera" & "Ataraxia - Ochram". Here I discover the music of "Colin Offord". He is an excellent singer and an excellent multi-instrumentalist. Besides, also like "Vladisvar Nadishana" that I advise, except that he does not sings. Also this sings : "Battista Acquaviva", and "Luc Arbogast". And also the peculiar "Tom Kenyon" sings like that. Lisa Gerrard, Loreena McKennitt... And, Lisa Gerrard + Brendan Perry = Dead Can Dance.
