The “I don’t have Rarity” and the way discord gave fluttershy courage was HILARIOUS! SO WAS THE REACTION!
I really love the post office scene with Rarity and Derpy! The interactions with Derpy and a main character is so delightful because it doesn’t happen quite often. I just love both of their exchanges!
Don't forget that since both Rarity and Derpy were voiced by Tabitha St. Germain in that scene, it pretty much meant that Tabitha was talking to herself.XD
Discord giving fluttershy confidence when taming the winterzilla is similar to him giving confidence to twilight and friends in the s9 premiere.
This special is just such pure, wholesome, heartwarming adorableness AND I LOVE it!

Best Gift Ever is my favorite of the 2 mlp specials, the songs are catchy and the special had it's funny moments although as always i remember that some of the Brony Analysts weren't very happy with the plot and they especially didn't like those ponylike reindeer.
Although seeing everything that the Mane 6 went through in this special was cool, i mean Pinkie Pie making another long trip to the Frozen North just to find those reindeer and RD and Discord looking for a creature that had lycanthrope-ish qualities, and seeing Flim and Flam up to their usual conartist tricks always made me think that if Hearth's Warming had a Santa figure Claus figure, then those two would definitely be on the naughty list lol.
And i felt bad for Marble Pie when she saw Big Mac and Sugar Belle kissing, it made me think-"Sorry Marble, Big Mac is off the market, but you'll find someone someday." in fact in terms of Big Mac's love life Marble Pie was basically in the same boat as Cheerilee, they both hinted at having romantic feelings for Big Mac and neither of them ever made a move so yeah for Marble and Cheerilee Big Mac will always be the one that got away.
Speaking of romances. the part where Shining Armor and Cadence slightly flirt is both funny and adorable it's like "Get a room you two lol"
In conclusion i loved all the references the made to other Christmas films in this special, and the ending song speaks so much truth the Mane 6 had come so far and have done so much together they've become more like family than friends.

I felt sorry for Marble, when she saw Big Mac and Sugar Belle together. That was a stab, not only to her but the fandom as well. Marble deserves someone special after that display.

This was the best holiday special I've ever seen, all categories! The scene with Derpy was my favorite!

I like to imagine Fluttershy knew what Rainbow was asking about and played up the "loves everything" thing just to mess with her because Dash was being too obvious.
She spent too much time with Discord in that case :D
Someone already pointed out some Christmas movie references, but there were others that were provided by Discord. He did Snoopy as the Red Baron with that Flying Scene. And when he says it's Hearth's Warming Eve, he's dressed up as the main char from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. A non-Christmas reference were the 2 Ninjas that Discord and RD were dressed up in. They ere G.I. Joes, another Hasbro toy lol.
This episode lines up well with other Christmas specials like "It's a Spongebob Christmas", "Elf", "Christmas Vaction" and all the other classics!
I love this special its my fave out of all of them and moat of the eqg movies. Best jokes and we did finally get a good spike song
