- Ukraine's progress against Russian forces in its southern regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia has been far more limited than its successes in the north-east.
Both sides come under regular fire as they rely heavily on artillery to push forward.
The crackdown on people who do not support Russian rule in occupied areas is rising, with soldiers going door-to-door to check on who lives in each house and whether they could be drafted into fighting for Russia.

My neighbor served in the Polish military during communist times. I asked about his training, expecting him to talk about preparing to fight NATO. He said all of their training was preparing to fight Russia. Even when they were a communist country in the Warsaw Pact, they knew the truth. Russia has always been the real enemy. That's why former Warsaw Pact and Soviet states all ran for the protection of NATO the first chance they got.

Ukraine stopped the military advance on their capital when they didn't had help, then mass mobilization pushed them back. then 15 billion in NATO weapons aid arrived and now they are slowly pushing them out of the regions they had fortified. But anyway currently Ukraine has more soldiers, better artillery (HIMARS indeed), and in general way better equipment. 300.000 mobilization won't help much if you don't have the means to train, feed and equip them to stop Ukraine from taking back their provences. It only turns them into cannon fodder.

The new Russian recruitment has become very difficult due to a major lack of medical supplies, the recruits are being told to take medical supplies from civilian vehicles and to ask family members to send them supplies including tampons to stick in bullet holes. When you combine the lack of military vehicles, ammunition and medical equipment the Russian military is not capable of conducting any major action against the Ukrainian forces. From what is happening the Ukrainian farmers are better equipped than the Russian military.

I always felt as a European, although still being caught in competition and "we are better here" but now ... we are one family, with brothers and sisters, especially now in countries that seemed to be not really "important", I see a lot of bravery and determination to withstand. Our family grew bigger and stronger. Once competitions, now proud of every advancement a family member achieves, achieves for all of us.
I've got a German and a Nigerian passport, but since February, I'm Ukrainian by heart and very proud of my brothers fighting for our free Europe.

Probably markings or numbers to identify the tank or group they are in and probably don't want their enemies seeing this to figure out who/what/where. Might be a stolen tank that was taken somewhere then seen here. Any information, even small, can be used against you in war. Can track where things were seeing last and triangulate speculations for scouts.
