Little do people realize, there is a mobile electronic dronve jamming equipment under there and the purpose of that tank is to largely protect its convey from FPV drones. It has been extremely successful so far.

It's quite a rudimentary creation but can almost guarantee this design is going to be on tanks coming out of the factory. Or maybe even a armoured vehicle which specificslly focuses on jamming with a battalion.

back in 2017 during the 6 month long Marawi siege in the philippines, ph army used wet wooden planks on their light armored vehicles and somehow someone noticed that it can mitigate most of the damage dealt by rpgs, warheads would explode first on the initial impact on the wooden planks and not penetrate the armor, it is quite genius actually but when some clips from that specific war got leaked the internet made fun of them calling it "wooden tanks"

Wonderful garbage. When were you ever a "master of war"? In the 19th Century? 1812? In WW2, you lost 27 million people, and the Germans lost 6. You "won" that war. You also lost the Cold War, including one third of your territory and half your population.

01:07 - It's not armour, it's a spacer. These are literally corrugated metal roof sheets, easily penetrated by a pistol round. The drone explodes further away from the actual armour dissipating it's energy, thus saving it from destruction.
i feel like I've seen this kind of tactic before but the one saw has free wifi that makes it even better
for the price of one tank surely its more cost effective to buy drones on mass can def see this being on all armour in the future as drones are so much cheaper and effective

It looks funny but has been very effective. Abrams tanks for example had to be withdrawn from the front because of the drones
this camouflage is to confuse AI based image recognition enabled drones. Such drones cannot be jammed when they have optically identified a tank. Camouflage looks like typical shacks in Ukraine, which must not be engaged by AI. Communication jamming by electronic warfare and AI resistant camouflage makes an effective solution against cheap drones with AI recognition.

These are Russian turtle tanks, its not just sheets of steel. It has sandbags inside so the drone dont penetrate and the tanks now has Electronic Warfare jamming inside the shell. Thats the reason these tanks are effective.

I think drones that use voice analysis and auto target people with certain accents or ground drones would be cool. Maybe seismic drones that feel the vibration of the tank and uses the reading to find the tank even.

not meant to engage other tanks... meant to lead the way for convoys through minefields. In a mine clearing situation, everything follows the front tank, because that is the only safe path. Knocking out the front tank turns the whole convoy into sitting ducks because either they reverse all the way back where they came from, or they go around and risk getting blown up by mines.

This designe is sacrificing the mobility of the tank. If there is another tank to attack from the side, it is no brainer to predict the outcome. it is like solving one problem but create another one.

@@michaelstark8720 Tanks are not very good at taking hits from the side or the rear. The front has thick armor the rest is easy to penetrate.
