I’ve been building drones since 2012 and this is the coolest thing in FPV I’ve seen since! Incredible!
They have some run on hydrogen sim to these , and hovers for up 14 hours, the police have them and 2000 is no where close to the 240k they pay to watch while people rob atms behind them, so, question is if they watching one spot 3 or more drones with LiDAR radar , and thermal why not add a cam to each side and one for rear and watch while thieves see them in sky looking one way break into things behind them, the extra cams may take some screen room but for 240k and your being misled by idiots over not being able 3 on 1 someone years ago and holding grudges , 36k gone while 3 drones 6 times more than bank lost could panned right and stopped money from being taken, or where they looking out for the one broke into them? It’s 50/50 from what all I’ve seen
This is an absolutely fantastic aircraft / drone. Think I have to buy one. Since I'm an airplane pilot most of the time (for 35 years) this is exactly what I need. Thank you for sharing your videos.

I'm working on buying a complete setup. I'm a beginner but this Is the best product I've found for the money. Drones and planes combined with 1 hour flight time dominates the competition.

This is one of the coolest planes you've reviewed, Captain! I can definitely see myself owning this if I had money to spend on hobby items right now. I can't afford to buy anything that expensive, but I'm glad you do these review videos for those of us sitting on the fence or who are priced out.
I love this one Cap but with my salary I will continue dreaming lol dwl. Question though is the return to home terrible on it or was it affected by the cold that was the only negative for me. Keep them coming Cap.
It is certainly not a precision return to home, but it does come back to your general location.

You need a cape.
I purchased a $125 fpv foam plane with the connectors fixed into the wing and body... so just attach the wind and the connection is made. I bet this thing is upwards of $1700 and that connection cable will last about 20 flights.

Steve, being an owner of a V-tail Beechcraft Bonanza, I really must have one of these! Unlike my Bonanza, my plane can stall, and it certainly can’t fly backwards.. lol. And oh! By the way, being there isn’t the traditional vertical stabilizer, hence the V-tail, they aren’t called elevators, they’re called ruddervators. Thanks for being so dedicated to your viewers to venture out in such weather! You call that mild but here in coastal Texas that is a blizzard. 🥶 🌴

Images were fine! And Dammit I love that machine. I don't have drones myself, I prefer gliders, and RC rock crawler trucks. But then you flew it backwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😂

Great concept, perhaps they could develop an updated GPS calibration routine. The Hokie Pokie system they have going on seems kinda silly and certainly dated. It's a little thing, but the higher the price goes up, the more "little things" start to matter. 💯
This thing is fun to fly, if you hit RTH at a distance away from you it will return in airplane mode and then switch to vertical flight.

The ZMO VTOL FPV from OMPHOBBY is the most beautiful RC thing I have ever seen in my 2 years RC experience...
It looks veryy beautiful and durable, looks like it can easily survive after crashing into snow.
This VTOL looks really stable in drone mode even in wind, irrespsctive of its bulky fuselage.
It flies just like a mythical aircraft and is like a VTOL of dreams...
It does have all the amazing and important features to get started including RTH, 40 KM max range, 120 Kilometre/hour+ max speed, HD FPV Transmission in DJI FPV goggles and it is also really powerful with that 5100 mAh battery, surpassing the DJI Mavic 3's battery power by 100 mAh!
I can write a really long comment on this one for sure but I should stop in sometime now, lol.
It costs only around 2,000 dollars including everything in RTF kit.
That is not very costly!
I think that many more competitors will be there in VTOL hobby field/category!
I am stunned after seeing these new VTOLs like Swan K1 Pro and ZMO!
Looking *veryyy muchhh* forward to see new beautiful VTOLs with more breathtaking features like Omni directional Obstacle Avoidance and 3 axis Gimbal-ized inbuilt cameras!!!

This one looks better than the SWAN K1 PRO. Can you make a comparison video. Either at your desk or flying. From the looks of it this ZMO one seems a bit more refined and you can actually fly it like a quad, or tri as the case may be.
I'm glad he only did 3 turns each, I was watching closely so I began to feel a bit nauseous. lol. Great video 5 Stars.

Steve I know you are a major contributor to the RC industry. Today on news a family had a fire in there kitchen from the battery in a rc car. You always warn people about this and if you would do a you tube to show people what can happen perhaps with some of your fellow RBbuddys.

As much as I love this plane, I think right now there's just a little too much "wrong" with it, especially at its current price point.
Why does it want to land itself after a RTH? And why does it do that 100 meters away from the take off point? I think it should be much more precise, I can live with it being 10 meters off but not 100 meters. Also, when it's more or less returned to the take off point, I think it should stay there and loiter at a decent altitude in hover mode so you have the choice to land it yourself. It should not initiate an autolanding unless you tell it so or if the battery runs out of juice. What good is it if the plane autolands 100 meters away from you in the trees or on a road?
I also read that you can't set a RTH altitude. According to a forum website, the plane is set to RTH at an altitude of about 30 meters. That's way too low i.m.o. and there should be an option to change it.
I also read early customers experienced malfunctioning servos and a fried FC board. That's not good.
Apart from that, I'm just dying to get this thing. I do hope they'll sort out the issues and bring this into a good finished product. I also hope we can increase flighttime with a bigger battery cause I don't see 60 minutes happening with this one.

Lol, don't rely on the RTH that's for sure.... imagine you lose connection and it lands in the middle of a playground filled with kids playing...

I'm a beginner, I want one lol. I want to just blow money on a stupid dji fpv but I know there's more fun to be found cheaper, like this guy. What is important to me is range and flight time, this is that! But I know I'll have the pitch wrong and smack into something. 🙃🙃
