They once tried to make an NES game of the original Street Fighter. It looked kinda like Technōs Japan's Double Dragon (Sō Setsu Ryū in Japan) for the NES, but it was scrapped for some reason and replaced with a difficult game that nobody asked for known only as Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight. Game Boy ports are even better though.
Es un gran best seller de los juegos sin licencia hechos en Taiwán y aún poseo esta joya de juego hasta la fecha y es uno mis juegos favoritos de la.infancia de hecho de ahí conocí franquicia street fighter
I would love to know who developed this. It's a long standing mystery. Whoever it was, they were an excellent programmer. Of all the fighting games on the NES, this is easily my favorite. It's a shame the music is generic and the 2 player mode is butchered. Great NES game overall.
MK 2 special is a good game, easily the best MK port for the NES and I like it a lot, but since I found that you can get people stuck in and endless grab with no way to escape, it killed the fun a little for me. I never found any cheap bugs in the fighting like that in SF3. Still, MK 2 special is very impressive for what it is.
Oh yes, you can kill opponent in MK2 very easily and cheap, so if you play it with a friend, you need to set some rules. But i got more fun while playing MK2, than SF3. AI too relentless in SF3.
I have this game. It's the same on the one I own. Can you try if you press UP + Start? It will insta drain Player 2 HP. Also, the move set need to be only done once when you got it to work. But this only on the side facing your opponent. Like for Bison's Psycho Crusher, after doing the command just motion Forward + Punch and you can do this repeatedly. Just time the end of the move. When you change position just redo the button for the move and press the same buttons when you face the opponent. The same is true for Blanka. For Ken, Sagat snd Ryu, the same after doing the Shoryuken move just use Forward + Punch. There is an exception for projectiles that it is manually done the same for Vega that you need to do the inputs. For Guile's Flash Kick, Down (3 secs) then UP. Then just spam UP + Kick and you're good. Even if you stop you can do the repeated moves but avoid getting hit. Don't know if on emulators it will work. I have the physical copy before and the moves work. Sorry for the long post/reply just surprised seeing this and someone else has one. 😁
@@RetroView Yup no kidding and I discovered it by accident and it was hilarious.😂🤣😂🤣 This happened when I used Guile's Flash Kick but instead of kick I pressed Start. By the way the FC's joystick is small and hard to ones with big hands. 😁
@@RetroView No problem. Just remembered those simple times. Oh by the way, I recalled, if you push UP + Start at the end of a match and as long as the score screen is still not shown the 2nd Player will be resurrected. That is if your copy has this option. Sorry again for these long replies as it just bring in those times as a kid. That at least I was able to play Street Fighter even on the FC as a substitute for the consoles that was popular during that time that I don't have > SNES & Super Famicom. 😁
I used to play it when I was a kid, I think I was still in elementary at that time i thought it was originally made by Capcom, but its just a bootleg, but sad to say it's very hard to get the shoryuken here.
Here is my overview of Super Fighter III: Graphics: They're pretty good (at least for 8 bit standards). They're not like any of Cony Soft/Yoko's ugly as sin graphics. I can tell who's supposed to be who, at the very least (though I suppose Ken's hair isn't blonde - probably due to the limitations of the NES). | Grade: B+ Music/Sound: The music is pretty bad. I mean, most of the music is butchered and the only music that saves it from getting an F is Guile's Theme (the one theme that isn't butchered beyond belief). I would rather mute the music while I am playing it, though. (Yes, I have heard worse than this). | Grade: D Gameplay/Game Control: Surprisingly, this works pretty good. Hit detection works and the controls work. There are 9 characters and there's even a difficulty selection. There's also some difference between the speed of some characters. There are some caveats, though. One: only heavy versions of special moves work. There are no light versions of special moves. Two: Remember Street Fighter I's mechanic (of tapping the buttons lightly or pushing it very hard)? That's here (again, due to the fact that NES fighting games have only 2 buttons = A and B - by default). Simply put, you tap A or B lightly to do a light attack and press A or B hard to do a heavy attack (although this bootleg pulls it off far better than Fighting Hero did, at the very least). Three: Both light and heavy attacks can do damage (even if they are blocked). Yes, it is a slight amount of damage, but any light & heavy attack can do some damage (even if it is blocked). Four: Both M. Bison and Blanka (as I tested this out) have "secret" special moves that the A.I. will never do (the "diagonal" Scissor Kick and the "diagonal" Blanka Ball). To do these special moves, you have to charge it up (since the Scissor Kick and the Blanka Ball are "charge" moves), angle your control pad/control stick enough so that it is at a diagonal enough angle and then do the special move. Five: Zangief, E. Honda and Balrog are not in this port. I suppose it would have pushed Super Fighter III beyond the NES limitations, but oh well. Six: Sagat is the worst character in the game (due to a bug). How so? Well, he can be juggled infinitely! The others can't be juggled infinitely, but he can. If Sagat is in the corner and he gets juggled, he's gone. Seven: Why is there a high score counter if you can't put in your initials? That seems unnecessary to me. Positives: The 9 endings and the 2-Player Mode should invoke some fun, at the very least. Negatives: Bad music and the fact that Sagat is the worst character in this bootleg can dampen the fun to an extent. Replayability: I do have to admit, Super Fighter III is the closest thing to Street Fighter II: Championship Edition. Yes, it has it's flaws. I would still give this bootleg high marks despite it's bad music, though. Total Grade: B+
These graphics are really impressive, with the multicoloured sprites. The music really isn’t. Gameplay is ok for the NES but nothing special. I’d love to see a fanmade improvement hack
One neat trick against a CPU Chun-Li or Blanka: if your 2nd controller has a turbo function (most FamiCom controllers do), you can actually control the opponent by holding the turbo kick (Hyakuretsukyaku) or punch (Electric Thunder) which would render them defenseless. You (the player) can then spam projectiles to death.
i hated this game because i wanted to play the super nintendo version so bad and my parents doesn't wanted to buy me the console so i just had to play this
Decent port with many fighter and special moves. But maybe Ken looks a bit off.
And AI very aggressive.
Retro Longplays now make a longplay to mortal Kombat 1 for the nes

This is just too good for nes level, i remember bought this in 1992😢😢
Best nes game ever
Love the 8 bit music here
This game is the closest NES port of Street Fighter 2 gameplay wise, and the colours of the characters aren't as limited here unlike other bootlegs.
Too bad they didn't make one like this for Street Fighter Zero.

is the best bootleg version of SF2, I hope someone can do a hack to this game and add the original music and maybe doing something for Ken lol
I had this game as a kid so the music gives me nostalgia, I think I prefer as it is.
Somebody make a remake to pc adding supers like SSF2T plus improving the combo system, but keeping same graphics!
Someone did it! It even proves the gameplay a little bit
