I appreciate this information, I have been doing tons of power lifting-heavy squats/cleans bench etc however now anytime to push to max effort the injury frequency is just too high....save for dead lifts. I'm trying to find ways to push growth without red lining on core lifts.
Great video! Yes, a video on the total number of hard sets/muscle group/week would be most appreciated! In general, do you recommend full body, or a split routine? Do you already have a video on that topic? Thanks!
Thanks for addressing this topic! I’ve wondered for a long time about what the most effective number of repetitions (per exercise type) will yield the best results. You covered it in this video. 👍🏋️♀️
Yes, please make a video of how many sets are needed to maximize muscle growth. Also, how much is too much and the hypertrophy will decrease instead of increasing?
@@CitizenAthletics I followed this from Instagram and it's just a form of clickbait imo. It formulates such an overly simplistic question and pretends to have found the answer in literature but in fact it just comes down to the basics. Plus it refers so many times to 'if you want me to make a video about...' while that information is already out there and is also vital for understanding those basics. You can go on and on stretching information and views like this, but I think that's what's intended. So yeah, clickbait. Peace
A video on when to train to failure would be fantastic.
At the end of your mesocycle just before you deload
Not always, you can definitely do it other times, or not at that time depending on a few factors.
@@CitizenAthletics I usually do it because fatigue won't be any issue since you're going to deload anyways
I’d love a video about how many sets per workout and per week.
Definitely! Would love a more in depth video on varying rep ranges throughout the week too.
A video on sets, intensity/pushing to failure and total volume would be extremely helpful. Great video.
Coming soon!
I'd love to see all the videos you mentioned. Love the content.
Sam, love the video! Would you be willing to share a few of the articles you’d referenced? Wanted to read up some more... thx!!
Amazing video. Please make a video of the two other topics you asked if we would like you to make a video
Sure I will!

videos on intensity, volume, timings, how to mix it through the week etc etc would be really helpful in this learning process.
Come here from Back in Motion Mount Gravatt's Instagram post... damn glad I did.
Would also love a video for training to failure and on programming number of sets
We are definitely making them!
great video, really informative. Thanks !
Dr Sam, could you please make a video on behind the neck presses? We really need the guide on those from you.
Please share a video on when to train to failure and how to program sets for hypertrophy.
You got it!

Great videos, and tips.
THank you!
Please do video on how many sets for growth.
Very informative, thanks!
Thanks Ross!
Keep them coming
What’s optimal rest time in between sets?
Great video
A video on training to failure would be wonderful.
How do you calculate volume?
Dude I want all the videos.
I do low rep workouts. I do 0 rep sets because I’m not targeting my slow twitch fibres.
I vote for a sets video.
Definitely will make one!
Thumbs down
