This was way ahead of its time. One of the best movies ever

It's hard to believe this movie was made in 1999.
I love at 0:20 when Neo smiles, this is his first fight since having kung fu downloaded into his brain and he is loving it.
I think he is imitating bruce lee, and his signature movements. Same morpheous, with the "come here"
Though the second half of the fight is not here, the sequence as a whole demonstrates how superpowers work in The Matrix. Neo only becomes faster after Morpheus gets him to believe that he is faster. He has to believe, to know. Because if you don't believe you can manipulate reality in the system, then you can't. Superpowers are the manifestations of self-belief. Which is I love these scenes.
I wish the Wachowskis hadn't killed off Apoc and Switch, I love them so much.
I wish the Wachowskis were still men; life is but a series of disappointments.

This fight scene had been being practiced for several months before the shooting. The result is brilliant!
Some amazing camera works in this scene. Best movie ever for sure.

Fun fact: In this film a green tint is used in scenes within The Matrix to portray it's digital simulation by machines while in the real world; the footage has a blue tint applied to it to represent the natural world.
But in this scene they actually use a Yellow tint, since the construct is neither. And I'll bet you that now that I've mentioned it, you can't unsee it.
Great scene, the whole setup is just right.

During the media blitz prior to the second movie there was a TV commercial that said "if you see three movies this summer, see matrix 2 three times. I had already seen it once. I just stood up said ok and went to see it again. Only movie I've ever paid to see twice in theaters

I did, and that's considering I didn't usually watch the Matrix trilogy prior to finding out its significance in my teenage years.

I appreciate uploading these scenes, but honest question Warner Bros: Why did you not upload it in the original format? I'm a big fan of the movie and the visuals are part of what makes it special, so why are you cropping it to a 1.78 and messing with the color? It almost looks like it's just been ripped from another RUclips video? There are 4K versions of this fight in the original aspect ratio on other channels but you OWN the movie, so... ????

The look of this movie is miles better than the current modern too artistic-over color graded-over cgi movies. And the great irony is, the matrix movie depicts red pill as equal to finding the truth, but the director of the movie is now blue pilled.😢
