It was great to meet so many really happy holidaymakers this afternoon in Palmanova, whether or not you appeared in this video! You made my day! Also, check out what Palmanova is like at night here: ruclips.net/video/Nw1_eZlaC8E/видео.html
Hiya Alex. Palma nova is looking great. Glad you are getting things done with the influence you have on the island. Even that yellow thing in the sky shines on you 🌞🌞🌞🌞
LOL, I was so surprised to hear they were being laid, when I was told it on Monday would take a fortnight. But it's great to see. I saw one wheel chair user on the boardwalk on Palmanova, so it's just brilliant news! ☀
Fantastic news about the board walk Alex. I noticed the new ones have a system to lock into each other. The old ones were just panels chucked on the sand. These look like a huge improvement
Love watching your videos, especially when you’re with your daughter and meeting with other people and when you travel from place to place just been watching this one of the updates for the boardwalks really good news to see that they are coming now
Thanks Alex. I'm really enjoying the daily vlogs. It's a must watch for me. Something different each day and usually very informative, just what I need before our break there! Cheers 👍👍
We are so exited about coming to palma nova next week,I know its going to be perfect, weather, hotel, beach, trips to around the island, meals in local restaurants, walking along the beautiful promenade, stopping for coffee or maybe a cheeky cocktail , swimming In the sea, strolling along the gorgeous beaches, it's all pretty dam good and great to be alive. Enjoy everyone😎
Alex, I see the are pedalos near to Santa Lucia, now I’ve been going to Son Matias over 35 years and can never remember them at that end of the beach, only in the centre of beach next to the swim lanes.
Nice update. I don’t understand why it’s taken them up until now to start sorting the beaches and some of the bars out. Surely this should have all done by March/April…?🤔
I was in Palmanova for a few days recently and it seems to have improved in terms of shops and restaurants and poshified itself slightly. Been nearly two years since was last in Mallorca. It´s first time I was there at a not so crazy time and was able to get a table at the Il Chiringo on the beach where I had some nice gambas and fries. Seems to be run by friendly Italians. I don´t know if it´s my imagination, but there seems to be less of the tat and tacky souvenir shops which used to be almost all there was in the past. I then stayed in Magaluf for a couple of nights and actually it was fine. Lots of tacky shops there and loads of tattoo parlours etc., but also some nice new restaurants. A few nice shops, though not many yet. The hotel in Magaluf was a huge disappointment though. The cleaners at this supposedly four star hotel with suspended swimming pool spanning across two buildings at Momentum square, had tried to mask a truly revolting sewer smell in the room and corridor by spraying tons of airfreshener, which did not mask the smell and which I am allergic to. Needless to say, I refused to stay in that room and was given another more spacious suite type of room, but alas no sea view from high, and instead a view of a small private pool (not accessible to me) and a bit of the sea. Both Es Carregador beach and the beach in Magaluf are nice, though there was quite a lot plastic trash, such as plastic bottle lids, washed up on both.
Boardwalks yes, sunbeds yes, beach bars yes, but oh no Balinese bed no, in my opinion and it is only mine, a total eyesore and very tacky. Everything else great. Thanks Alex for the good news update.
As a local, watching this channel makes me want to cry. I don't understand why you have to keep giving more publicity to the island, please leave it alone. We locals want to have a normal life again, since the tourists and the government have ruined the island. The locals are teachers, doctors, nurses etc. and we have to leave the island, the vast majority do not live from tourism. It is also very frustrating to see how our culture and dialect is being lost to tourism. Stop overcrowding mallorca and respect the locals who live there because tourism makes our life impossible. ¡
I agree there needs to be a balance but this is down to government policy. Wages set by the big companies have remained the same here for years which is just wrong! Plus also the unaffordable rents which also many Mallorquin landlords have increased, punishing their own people or selling out. I am not a landlord! Please don't over estimate the power of my channel. I promote holiday resorts where local people make money 6-months of the year in businsses they struggle to run! I don't highlight hidden beaches. I wouldn't do that. But please keep fighting with the local Government. And I agree, it's an awful situation for young people growing up here. The island will be empty again on November 1st. And most restaurant, bar owners and those working in tourism will struggle to feed their families until the Spring.
Wow John, I bet you're a pleasure to be around 😴. I enjoy these videos, not only because of the beautiful location and content but because Alex is warm and personable. You should try taking a leaf out of her book.

Will the concert be coming again this year to Carador Beach holiday holiday
Hi Alex just a warning sun beds and umbrella 35 euro on Sa Coma beach. Seems a bit steep.
How much!!!!! That does, I'm sure they were cheaper last time I was down. You sure that's not the lux offering?
Nice update.

I think it's to do with the licensing, and then the stock too.
Is it sunny in September over there?
Yes ! Look back on my older videos and weather !

👏👏
Where is the Florida restaurant, that the guy recommended. Would like to try it, always good to go to a restaurant that has been highly recommended.
Yes! It's on the road that runs behind where we were standing... so the road that runs parallel to the Son Matias beach front! Just down a bit.
That’s more like the weather Alex and boardwalks can get a bit scary when the screws start to pop up with flip flops or sandals can be nasty
These look much better quality than last years ! Let’s see !
Boardwalks yes, sunbeds yes, beach bars yes, but oh no Balinese bed no, in my opinion and it is only mine, a total eyesore and very tacky. Everything else great. Thanks Alex for the good news update.
And still no toilets !!
Thanks so much Dianne!
What’s happened with the flooding!? We are due to visit on 24th but have just seen extreme flooding has happened? Are Palma and alcudia ok? 😮
See my video out this - the airport update I published two days ago . It’s all fine
Part of the beach in front of Port Royal Fergus style
Common sense to relay broadwalks😊

Stop repeating yourself when you are reporting from any areas you are covering over 21 times you said Palma Nova 😮
Harsh! 😂 You get content for free here. No TV license required. We get paid pennies. “Thank you” would be more appropriate. 😜

@@laura.b_123 aww thanks Laura 🤗
Geez John, chill 😂
Are you her content creator director? No?
Then hush 🤫😂
😂😂😂😂 lolll thank you 🙏🏼
00:05 You might have edited the British guy with no shirt showing his big gut from the vlog Alex. Really not something we want to see 👀
I barely noticed him! I have to admit, I'm no super model either in my bikini, but I'll be on a beach this weekend :)
Will the concert be coming again this year to Carador Beach holiday holiday
