    Beautiful family! And Will is a beautiful soul! Honestly, WHAT?! I've always listed myself as an organ donor but a living, "whomever needs it" donor? Never crossed my mind! The world does not deserve a heart as big as Will's! God bless you, brother! 🙏🏽

      A living person can be a liver donor. You can survive with half a liver. They take half of the donor's liver and give it to the recipient. The donated half keeps the recipient alive, while the half that was left over keeps the donor alive.

      @@Bloodgod40 Yes, I'm aware that you can be a living donor and that the liver regenerates, thanks. My awe lies in the fact Will decided to donate randomly to "whomever needs it".

    You know, despite the multitude of the sins and transgressions of mankind, there is always a reminder that people, as God created us, can show love and compassion at the most crucial moments of human need.
    Thanks for the story.

    Liver transplants are very tough. I am a 2X kidney transplant recipient. I was 3 years old when I had my first one.

    When I lived in Toronto, I was on the registry but only received calls for apheresis donations. The call went, "you are a match Hugh can you come in tomorrow". My employer was supportive, so the was never a problem with the time off of work. One year I donated 17 times. To all register as a donour.

    I am planning to register. But i am scared of anesthesia. Actually anesthesia doesn't work immediately on me and my mom.

    • @abhijithchandran3738
      @abhijithchandran3738 3 года назад +1

      Anaesthesia is not compulsory, there is a procedure without that, but it will take up to 8 hours to complete the procedure, quite long. It's the same as blood donation.

      I served in the British Army for 18 years during a tour of Afghanistan I came under fire during a Taliban attack, It was a fellow soldier a black man that covered my withdrawal saving my life, he was already a friend before that incident but now he is also godfather to all 3 of my children and was best man at my wedding.
      I could not love this man more if he was my biological brother but he will always be my brother in life.
