What a beautiful story. Please consider being an organ donor. Check that box on your driver’s license! My son passed away 5 years ago and even though his organs were not viable for donation, his corneas were. Two young men in the Philadelphia area received his donation and are now able to see. God bless you, Nancy. God bless Dave and his family. I've been on dialysis for over 5 years. 3 times a week, 4 hrs each treatment. I have a fistula on my left arm where they stick those huge needles. Sometimes the needles still hurt a lot, but for the most part I'm used to it and don't feel them at all. But everything else that I have to deal with is overwhelming. Severe restless legs, being so tired after the treatment, 32oz daily fluid restriction, watching for potassium and phosphorus. Unfortunately, I'm not on the list yet because I have a few obsticles to work on before they would even consider me for the list. I'm 49 years old. I hope to live a long life, but don't want to be on dialysis for the rest of my life. It's been a rough journey, but I have to live one day at a time. It makes all the difference in the world when you have a wonderful support system of family, friends, acquaintances, social workers, etc. I'm also a big fan of Dolly Parton and she has been a beautiful part of my support system, with her music, her positive energy, her smile, her bright personality and spirituality. I love Dolly. She's just a bright shining ray of sunshine. Sometimes I get depressed and I will listen to Dolly's music and before I know it, I'm in a much better mood. Dolly is truly amazing. Fingers crossed I can get on that list and be blessed with a kidney donor. I wish the same for as many of us who desperately need it. It's a blessing to still be alive. Sadly, there have already been too many patients who have passed, just in the 5 yrs I've been on dialysis.

PLEASE be on an organ list. Be a donor. Put it on your driver's license. Put it in your will. Put it on your hospitalization papers. Go the extra mile for OTHERS.
My sister was a two time kidney recipient and I have to say, dialysis is hell. I’m so happy for him
How awesome!!! God bless these families!
That’s amazing! They’ve been friends this whole time, him not knowing the organ he was searching for was right next door, sometimes right next to him when they hung out. What a blessing!
Beautiful story. I had to go back almost four years to see a happy story.
What a beautiful story. This makes me smile.
I’m a transplant recipient, liver, 2 years post. I love seeing stories like this, but dang it, they always make me cry lol
Thank you God for blessing Dave and his family. Please continue blessing them.
Much love
I’m an organ donor now along with every person that I work with we all stepped up and got tested when we found out that wife of one my colleagues needed a new liver unfortunately I wasn’t a match but we did find a match with another colleague and then last month she got her new liver and is now recovering well
What a beautiful heart she has. All of them a good example how to live your life.
This is beautiful ❤️ And now I’m crying before my interview
What a wonderful story of true friendship helping each other out.
Amazing! God bless you all
This is amazing, and some people don't even talk to their neighbor anymore.
Sending loving thoughts out to Nancy, Dave and both of their families! I see this was a story from a while ago and I hope all went well. What a selfless act from her.

Joules do you know how I can get tested or be on a list to help someone?
Good luck Joules, hope you find a match soon !
@@thundercatmeg631 yes, you can get your blood tested to see if you're a match. Depending on the state that you live in there are varies kidney transplant programs with hospitals that you can go get tested at. I live in MI if you're wondering.
@@mrsdevine161 thank you. I'm still praying everyday for my miracle.
@@thundercatmeg631 as a donor, all your expenses are paid for. Some programs even have loss wage reimbursement. Go to www.kidneyregistry.org for more information on living donor.
So little it takes for happiness. A healthy person has many wishes, ill person only one wish. God bless this beautiful woman and Dave and his family.🙏❤️

Way to go Dave to have such a brave heart friend
That’s a REAL GOOD friend
I'm glad for him I got my kidney transplant on November 😊😊😊😊
As a person with kidney disease, these stories make my heart happy. I DO NOT currently need a transplant, but if that day comes, I would hope someone would do this for me. ❤️
Tears pouring down my cheeks! I don’t know the news staff isn’t balling too!
It’s good to know there are still decent people out there.
We all the world we need people who want to save life of ofthers.heros you are

I'm a blood and plasma donor, and on my driver's license, I am an organ donor, but I hope that before I pass, I can donate and help save a life. #bethematch #beanorgandonor
That is such a kind gesture. Are you still considering donating? I'm B+ and have been on the wait list for 2 years now. I'm looking for a living donor.
@@Renee-ms6di hi I am ready
I hope those who do not like this or try to be funny by clicking dislike never have to experience something like this.....this a great video and yes, there are more good people than bad people out there...
My dad has been going to dialysis for about 6 years and hes O+ blood type. Hopefully a miracle happens and we find a match soon 🙏🏽 we live here in Houston Tx
VVS I hope you also know about the artificial kidney project. However it happens, may your Dad get a kidney soon.
@@jacquelineadams8363 I’ve seen videos about it and some go way back to 10 years ago. Question is, when will the ordinary people get it? I know they already mastered that technology for sure.. could save millions of people
I love you all for being such beautiful people ...willing to help...saving a whole family! Blessings to Such beauty and love is hard to find. xoxoxoxoxo
I should not be watching this at work. I think my desk is sweating
