I TO EYE - Verso l'Africa - Le prime tappe

Oggi, mentre attraversiamo in traghetto l’immensa distesa del Mar Tirreno da est verso ovest, ci teniamo a ringraziare di cuore tutte le persone che ci hanno fatto sentire il loro calore nei giorni della nostra partenza.
Le decine di parenti e amici accorsi in Piazza Maggiore nonostante la pioggia, lo staff della trattoria al botteghino che ci ha accolti con calore offrendoci la colazione, l’amministrazione comunale di Castelfiorentino che ci ha concesso l’utilizzo gratuito dell’ostello.
L’amico video maker Gaetano ci ha tenuti compagnia per tutti i primi tre giorni, seguendoci a tratti in furgone e a tratti in bicicletta per cogliere i momenti più emozionanti, mentre l’immancabile Diego del tandem volante si è fatto ore di moto da Piacenza alla Toscana e ritorno per stare con noi qualche ora e farci sentire il suo supporto.
Ci siamo goduti al massimo tutte queste attenzioni, consapevoli che da adesso dovremmo cavarcela da soli!

The dozens of relatives and friends who gathered in Piazza Maggiore despite the rain, the staff of the “trattoria al Botteghino, who welcomed us warmly by offering us breakfast, the municipal administration of Castelfiorentino who granted us free use of the hostel.
Our friend and video maker Gaetano kept us
company for the first three days, following us sometimes in a van and sometimes on a bicycle to capture the most exciting moments, while the ever-present Diego of “il tandem volante” rode for hours from Piacenza to Tuscany and back to be with us for a few hours and make us feel his support.
We enjoyed all this attention to the fullest, aware that from now on we will have to manage on our own!
