I love how this comic took a deep dive into how other characters are feeling in the situation they’re trapped in. Here- it feels like it invoked a memory Jax can’t recall but had a trauma response to. I feel like him being a jerk is his way of coping.
I agree I feel everyone else is just trying to ignore There issues but Jax is finding A way to deal with it, even if it means he's A jerk to everyone else maybe he's just trying to make sure they still have some since of reality, By making his problems there's as well.

The strongest or meanest people are usually the weakest and most vulnerable. most never admit it, making them feel alone. we should really stop making them out as the bad guys since to be mean, you had to have experienced or seen or heard some else being a jerk. While its not fair for the victim, but its not fair on the bully either. Us blaming them is just making it worse, and its actually very easy to help them and be their friend. I have a theory. He might have abandonment issues. His parents abandoned him in a field of corn and so that’s why he is afraid of it? Idk but this is my guess. Once he was alone he had a mental breakdown and then when u said he is afraid of corn so this might be why.

As someone that just see Pomni and Jax as unlikely friends, I LOVE this comic. The tone, the music, everything's perfect. It tells a great story that can be interpreted in more ways than one and I LOVE IT.
This comic is really beautiful if you don't take the conversation as a ship This could fit perfectly into the series, knowing that Goose will make an episode dealing with each character in depth. It was really emotionally good

UHM WHAT?! THIS VOICE ACTING IS PERFECT. on the part where pomni was talking about how if shes not there for jax, nobody else will be. the voice acting was PERFECT. it fit pomnis character perfectly and thats exactly how she would say it.
I really like how their moment at the end can be interpreted as food for the people that ship them or emotional closeness for the people that just want to see the characters act in this sort of situation. This comic was my cup of tea, and everyone involved in making the voices, editing, and putting the soundtrack did a great job. 10/10 Will watch again.

It's more the fact he clearly lashed out at everyone who tried to help him. Granted, fear is something that can cause people to act irrationally, but since he acts like a prick in general its harder to defend him.
I personally like male/female relationships that are ambiguous. It can be interpreted either way and I appreciate it when creators give us that choice.
At the end: Caine was watching through his wacky watch with his face right up to it and the circus memembers just interrupt him and he keeps for 2 seconds and then slowly turns back and shows them.
Ahhhh , finally someone made a comic about this!! , i personally thought jax has fear of corn reminding him of the farm is because he got abused and or someone took advantage and hurt him..could be a parent , sibling , friend and thiat itself had something to do with farms probably becuse he could have grew up there..since jax is the youngest of them all i feel like he had easily took up the behaviour from his abusere which does happen btw or the abuser was one of the only people who was like known to him..he then became a jerk to protect himself , letting everyone fear him so he does not get hurt..his behaviour honestly reminded me of my own older brother..
I love this! I get how this can be seen as shipping fuel some, but we need more interactions like this for friendships too!! You have no clue how comforting it can be to trust a friend enough to just. Let go, and lean on them after something rough happens. I see so many do it with their siblings or with partners, but I wish we could get rid of that assumption that it has to be a romantic thing. It's about trust, and comfort around the action, based on what each invididual sets that boundary as. I'm very picky with who I give what physical contact to, often not wanting any with people I don't know, and being willing to give a few lesser comfort touches to people I know (back pats, hand on the shoulder, maybe a hug if the moment calls for it and we both are comfortable), but for most folks, I don't really seem like a touchy person. But I can be, when I feel safe. Can't wait for the day we all can just vibe as ourselves, with boundaries we all define by getting to know each other, and respect by asking and all.. it'll be nice to have it all more normalized ^^

Because his problem is causing him to be cruel to someone else. You don't have to tell someone your problems for it to affect them, they can just be affected by your own behaviour. In this case, Jax is being cruel to everyone because of his problems, that makes him their problem too.
I think it's one of the few fan-stories on tadc that isn't cringe about my 2 favorite characters (Jax and Pomni)... in reality it's really beautiful and well done and reflects the behavior of the characters well... and in my opinion it could be canonical in the original series (maybe we'll see it not immediately but like episode 5/6 or later)!!! From my point of view something similar will happen in the Original series... Something will really make Jax angry enough to make him rage against the others because maybe they left him alone in his fear (like in the comic) or something else that will make him angry and he will decide to isolate himself from the group to be alone and calm down a bit... and finally in the middle/end of the episode we will see Pomni will decide to be brave and go talk to Jax to apologize and try to comfort him (because we know that Pomni is like that and did something similar with Gummigoo) and a speech similar to this one from the comic will come out... who knows but in my opinion this comic is canon and in my opinion Gooseworks has a similar idea in mind...
I don’t ship these two but I love this entire concept that Jax is a jerk as a coping mechanism (not a great one, not an excuse, but it’s a fun concept) I feel like Jax does actually care about all of them and does secretly want and need some sort of comfort but doesn’t know what to do about it so instead he resorts to being an a$$hole
I think it might just be that he thinks too much. He is needlessly cruel to the others because he has to keep his mind occupied or he'll go insane and being violent stops him from getting close to anyone so he doesn't feel bad about it. He's using everyone else to save himself.
It’s sad because Episode 2 has clearly shown that Jax is definitely a grade A jerk, not to mention the creator apparently said he was bad enough that he deserved to be there, but…you know, I still kinda hope we can get maybe something like this in canon.

The people are in the comments are joking that Jax is afraid of corn, and it is slightly funny. But when I think about what Jax is feeling in this, I think it's not that he was afraid of corn, what if when he was a human. As a child, he might have had a bad experience in a corn maze. Like, what if he saw something that tramatized him. I honestly love this comic. It is really wholesome. ❤
I like to think theirs more under the surface. I keep thinking to the first two episodes. Jax could have just saved himself but he saved Kinger and Gangle in the rudest way he could. The moment things got safe he went back to bullying. In the second episode Jax for a few moments looks sad at the idea of Kaufmo’s funeral but then pushes it down and walks away angrily. I think he cares more than he lets on
I hope a lot of people intrepretted pomni's relationship to Jax like this more, she's almost the second ragatha to him, just more subtle in a way she 'deals' with her problem first than the other. While rags just shoved hers and helped others in a coping way, that feels like why Jax not taking her sincerity to account because she doesn't rly gonna do that for a real reason, not for him but for her emotionally wise. While if Pomni approaching him, it's because of 'him'. Because she knows almost everyone prefer to not get involved with his mess since he already shoved it to everyone's butts at this point. She needs to be, because she counts Jax as one of her things to take care. Rags likes to play the guardian role, but Pomni plays a relateable role as a friend, not a guardian nor people with authority. Honestly I won't be surprised if he has a mommy issue in his eps, very VERY sensitive when Ragatha tells him to do something, almost rebellious. And we know she has motherly vibes.

Because his problem is causing him to be cruel to someone else. You don't have to tell someone your problems for it to affect them, they can just be affected by your own behaviour. In this case, Jax is being cruel to everyone because of his problems, that makes him their problem too.

I think it's one of the few fan-stories on tadc that isn't cringe about my 2 favorite characters (Jax and Pomni)... in reality it's really beautiful and well done and reflects the behavior of the characters well... and in my opinion it could be canonical in the original series (maybe we'll see it not immediately but like episode 5/6 or later)!!! From my point of view something similar will happen in the Original series... Something will really make Jax angry enough to make him rage against the others because maybe they left him alone in his fear (like in the comic) or something else that will make him angry and he will decide to isolate himself from the group to be alone and calm down a bit... and finally in the middle/end of the episode we will see Pomni will decide to be brave and go talk to Jax to apologize and try to comfort him (because we know that Pomni is like that and did something similar with Gummigoo) and a speech similar to this one from the comic will come out... who knows but in my opinion this comic is canon and in my opinion Gooseworks has a similar idea in mind...
After seeing episode 4, it kinda feels like something like this will happen, and Jax and Pomni will have a closer friendship

I think it might just be that he thinks too much. He is needlessly cruel to the others because he has to keep his mind occupied or he'll go insane and being violent stops him from getting close to anyone so he doesn't feel bad about it. He's using everyone else to save himself.
It always is a little weird to see Jax in a moment of weakness, but yet it is something that he probably needs.

It’s sad because Episode 2 has clearly shown that Jax is definitely a grade A jerk, not to mention the creator apparently said he was bad enough that he deserved to be there, but…you know, I still kinda hope we can get maybe something like this in canon.

The people are in the comments are joking that Jax is afraid of corn, and it is slightly funny. But when I think about what Jax is feeling in this, I think it's not that he was afraid of corn, what if when he was a human.
As a child, he might have had a bad experience in a corn maze. Like, what if he saw something that tramatized him. I honestly love this comic. It is really wholesome. ❤

I like to think theirs more under the surface. I keep thinking to the first two episodes. Jax could have just saved himself but he saved Kinger and Gangle in the rudest way he could. The moment things got safe he went back to bullying. In the second episode Jax for a few moments looks sad at the idea of Kaufmo’s funeral but then pushes it down and walks away angrily. I think he cares more than he lets on
I hope a lot of people intrepretted pomni's relationship to Jax like this more, she's almost the second ragatha to him, just more subtle in a way she 'deals' with her problem first than the other. While rags just shoved hers and helped others in a coping way, that feels like why Jax not taking her sincerity to account because she doesn't rly gonna do that for a real reason, not for him but for her emotionally wise. While if Pomni approaching him, it's because of 'him'. Because she knows almost everyone prefer to not get involved with his mess since he already shoved it to everyone's butts at this point. She needs to be, because she counts Jax as one of her things to take care. Rags likes to play the guardian role, but Pomni plays a relateable role as a friend, not a guardian nor people with authority.
Honestly I won't be surprised if he has a mommy issue in his eps, very VERY sensitive when Ragatha tells him to do something, almost rebellious. And we know she has motherly vibes.
