My wife bought this for me for Christmas because she thought the bottle was cool. I honestly thought it was going to be trash and thought about returning it. I'd never seen it, heard about it, and couldn't really even find a current review. Reluctantly I opened it and was pleasantly surprised it was very good and I've been enjoying it regularly since. Side note my was the double oak black hand barrel.

@@luckytucky8646 did you see our review before or after you decided to open it? I have also been contemplating the double oak myself. Would you recommend it?

Had all 3 different barrels. I prefer the white barrel small batch the best followed by the double oak.

I got this as a gift. The first thing I noticed in nose and taste was that this is young whiskey. But it tasted good. Sweet, and I get notes of cherries. At 105, proof is perfect. I always passed by it because the bottles look gimmicky.

@@mukeshchaudhary2879 I was pleasantly surprised. I figured it would be gimmicky too. If it’s young, at least it’s not off-putting to me (if I get a wet, dank, sharp-grain-forward note, my brain equates that to young and off-putting). And if it’s young, it’s a young Bardstown Bourbon Co, which is pretty dang decent.
