Hey Francis, i just came back to your channel after a looooooooooooooooooong time. Is this video a sign that you will dig deeper into custom mechanical keebs (keyboards)? its a fascinating hobby and i should say should really fit you as you are an engineer and is naturally good at custom diys and such. I dont mean to be rude.

I like mech keyboards but I have settled on a 60% white, back lit, wired, brown switch one. Pretty happy with it. I see no need to spend what I think is probably 200+ on these custom things.

No they’re not hot swappable which is why I can’t justify the price. I’d die being stuck with blue switches forever.

Does this keyboard need a wrist rest? Is it too tall to use without one?

I use it without a wrist rest but I rest my arms on the edge of the desk.

Wow, we have like opposite tastes in keyboards. I wouldn't buy a keyboard without a fixed keypad. And I don't like wireless keyboards/mouses because they keep discharging, I rather have wires and not worry about batteries.
BTW, after all these decades in no small part because of your reviews I finally bought a keyboard with mechanical keys. And I love it. The problem is when I type I wake my wife up in the next room even with the door closed.

I like wires but I think at 5000mAH, if you do not turn on the lights, it'll last almost forever. Mechanical keyboards are cheap if you buy the non-name brand keys. If it's too loud, you might want to try the browns which is what I use. That still too loud?

@@BeatTheBushDIY It's a Gamenote with blue keys, but I don't even know what the name brands are :)
I have a wireless kb in the office, I use it with rechargeable 1300 mAh AAs and even that lasts for a really long time, it's just that it usually discharges at the most inconvenient times. Because it lasts for so long I keep forgetting to have spare batteries.

Might be the way it is made. Try wrapping a 3/4" cube of chicken in chicken skin and skewer it. Then grill it on an IR heat grill like the orange grill I use. I made this method up myself.
