Just to provide feedback, I believe you had your Katana Samurai running the entire duration of the test while the no-dachi were walking most of it, which will debuff the acceleration in your charge as well as negatively affect combat performance when tired. Additionally, trying to disengage them mid-fight guaranteed they would lose the fight because they disengage from melee and get hit with significant defense/morale debuff.

Absolutely! You make some good points, will maybe re-record, with more equal testing conditions.

while the no dachi would 100% if you didn't stack the odds against the Katana Samurai, the No Dachi will always have a special place in my otherwise mostly ashigaru army, it allows me to have the perfect shock unit without the need of having cavalry around, I don't like spending time having to watch my cavalry in case of enemy yari starts trying to counter it, No Dachi simply just ignores any yari and naginata weakness
not to mention that my army is mostly ashigaru, which I would have Master Armourer and Armoury in blacksmith provinces anyway, by coincidence also perfect for No Dachi
