SPAIN GETS MUCH BETTER WHEN GETTING AWAY FROM MADRID AND BARCELONA!!!! WE SPANISH PEOPLE HAVE TONS OF BETTER THINGS THAN JUST BEACH, PAELLA, FLAMENCO AND BULLFIGHTING!!!! You need 3 hour video to show the wealth of this country!!! I do not want to be a chauvinist, but it´s one of the best places to experience in this planet, culture to get bored, cuisine to be fed up with, mountain and rural life to amaze those most demanding, party life to the extreme and outer limits, tolerance of all types and conviviance to the point of forgetting where you are, peaceful and quietness landscapes that go from beach to ski resorts within the same day, the best agriculture scenario imaginable, festivals everywhere going on all year round, we have the world´s´s highest life expectancy ( I think we have overcome Japan), The crime rate is low (except pick pocketting in Barcelona), the access to free-public health is one of the top in the whole world... blah, blah blah tourist are coming and that, is a fact, if they come it´s due to our offer, no doubt, the eternal law of demand and offer!!!!!.... We are not perfect and we also have incovenients and problems such as unemployment and internal inconvenients with the lowest political profile ever but we are not alone in this ( it´s a wordwide endemic inconvenient) !!!!!, but in the end, and compared to others, ... we are true winners!!!!! and whoever wants to argue about it, I can close mouths!!!!! Olé!!!!!

Barcelona is Catalonia, and Catalonia is not Spain. This is not our traditional music or culture.
Catalonia has ALWAYS been Spain since the kigndoms of Castille and Aragon merged to conform united Spain in the 15h century, thus making Spain the oldest nation in Europe. Before that Catalonia was part of the Crown of Aragon. Catalonia has NEVER EVER been a kingdom, a country, a nation or anything remotely similar.

The fact that Catalonia wasn't a Kingdom (it was a Principality, there isn't so much difference) doesn't mean that it's not a nation, because "state" and "nation" or "country" are completely different things. Spain isn't the oldest nation in Europe, France, England, Holland... This are so much older, being independent kingdoms and nations as cultural identities. Spain isn't a nation at all.
