I think Suirya is actually stronger than base form 'hero hunter' Garou. When he fought Saitama he kicked the whole stadium in half, which is a far stronger feat than anything 'hero hunter Garou' did. But obviously if Garou is allowed to adapt/evolve in anyway, he wins. Which is probably what he would do, but I think Suiryu has a stronger base form.
Nah you forget that garou beat fighters like S rank Tank Top Master. That guy coukd lift a whole building with one hand but lost to garou, easy. Garous physically very strong.

Dude this fight is definitely a one sided fight.. Garou is in perpetual evolution and is already stronger than Syrui by far while Garou is barely in top A .. You clearly see the difference in power between the two when Siryu is smashed by a random top monster of the association. .. Siryu would not hold two seconds against the master of Garou and his brother while Garou was preparing to make a fight more than goes down against the two at the same time ... Garou level will is at 100% while Syrui has none , that makes all the difference and anyway, you will see it clearly in the rest of the manga when Syrui is so weak that he wears combat gear lol ..

I would say this season was decently good. Not spectacular but not bad either and the problem here is that it's inconsistent with its animation like there are some fights that are static while others are really fluid. Though given the context with animators I can't blame them- The sound effects on the other hand sound so off and that's what really bothered me throughout this whole season :")

I like that they're giving us all these cool characters of roughly equal strength - Garou, Suiryu, Genos, Sonic - where they're extremely powerful but not quite hitting the upper-tier of S-class. Makes for some delicious fan hype and potential matchups.

Because the change of studios, the messy schedule and the time it took to start the season, put a lot of strain on the animation and it downgraded from what the first season showed. Hopefully now that season 3 has been announced and it has been going steady on scheduling and organization, we might see a great season.
everyone cries about it because the quality of the animation. The plot and characters were the things that made it great but thats it. Even the SFX were mediocre.
What I really like is they both would have opened up more potential for themselves if they were to battle each other however Suiryu doesn’t believe he can break his limits because he is content with his abilities that he obtained and doesn’t know he can push himself even further beyond what he believes is possible

People are so focused on praising Garou but they forget the fact that Suiryu hasn't trained for 5 years before this game tournament. Imagine if he did.
At this point suiryu has more power and a stronger technique but flowing water smashing rock is the best defensive form so garou will keep countering him and win but it'll be a damn good match
He was high-demon level as a human so he would probably be low-mid dragon as a monster. Stronger than Bakuzan, on par with Gouketsu and still weaker than Orochi.

Kylo Ren beginning garou might lose good fight. I believe garou had lower durability do to suiryus tanking that horn attack from choze with minimal damage. But garou can take a beating and keep a strong head way more than suiryu.

Awakened Garou garou doesn’t have feats of using it. When he awakened his brain was like a super computer able to easily do all of those martial arts into one and after losing it he even stated he’s losing the god slayer fist. Suiryu could at least hit as hard as tank top from his feats. And he has better durability tanking demon level attacks from choze. Compared to garou taking damage from almost anything thrown at him. But he has the endurance to stay on his feat in comparison to suiryu.there skill isn’t to far apart not enough for garou to play with him. Lol don’t let you bias shit on the other guy. Garou doesn’t show any str feats compared to ttm or suiryu until his beating from bang+bomb to where he can ground pound and break a huge area of dirt he does this against the hero team as well but uses a tree root since he didn’t have the str to do it. Suiryu smashing the giant stadium in half should be in that ball park. Also basically oneshotting choze at least low-mid demon.

At the end Garou says let’s kick it up a notch meaning he can go faster, so fast that he broke the system. It’s shown Garou has better durability feats and endurance feats. The only real thing suryui has on Garou is his strength feats which aren’t much better than his. The early fight would be close, but when suriyu starts getting hurt and Garou gets more aggressive, it would show where Garou excels.

If i remember correctly this was from an ova where there was a game tournament and characters like Garou, King, Saitama and a few others just happened to be there to compete (which would never happen in canon) but it wasn't just a regular game tournament as they could use something that makes their movements be replicated in the game but of course they were still allowed to also use a controller if they wanted to. Pretty sure one of the characters broke the system that was mimicking their movements because they were just too fast. I think it was garou but I'll rewatch it quickly to make sure Edit: it's episode 4 of the one punch man season 2 ovas/specials

Why does everyone cry about the second season, am I the only one who thought it was badass?
Because the change of studios, the messy schedule and the time it took to start the season, put a lot of strain on the animation and it downgraded from what the first season showed.
Hopefully now that season 3 has been announced and it has been going steady on scheduling and organization, we might see a great season.

What I really like is they both would have opened up more potential for themselves if they were to battle each other however Suiryu doesn’t believe he can break his limits because he is content with his abilities that he obtained and doesn’t know he can push himself even further beyond what he believes is possible
he know he can push further. but after winning the martial art tournament seveeal time he just didn't care too push anymore. i mean in his current state A class heroes cant even defeat him. even some master martial arts loses to him. which there's no point to train further. but after taste the lost to the monster i think he might train further.

Awakened Garou garou doesn’t have feats of using it. When he awakened his brain was like a super computer able to easily do all of those martial arts into one and after losing it he even stated he’s losing the god slayer fist. Suiryu could at least hit as hard as tank top from his feats. And he has better durability tanking demon level attacks from choze. Compared to garou taking damage from almost anything thrown at him. But he has the endurance to stay on his feat in comparison to suiryu.there skill isn’t to far apart not enough for garou to play with him. Lol don’t let you bias shit on the other guy. Garou doesn’t show any str feats compared to ttm or suiryu until his beating from bang+bomb to where he can ground pound and break a huge area of dirt he does this against the hero team as well but uses a tree root since he didn’t have the str to do it. Suiryu smashing the giant stadium in half should be in that ball park. Also basically oneshotting choze at least low-mid demon.
Handsomeguy2810 here’s my take on hero hunter garou vs suryui: Garou is faster because of flowing water twchbique and in the fight we saw Garou was able to predict his punches and counter them quite easily. At the end Garou says let’s kick it up a notch meaning he can go faster, so fast that he broke the system. It’s shown Garou has better durability feats and endurance feats. The only real thing suryui has on Garou is his strength feats which aren’t much better than his. The early fight would be close, but when suriyu starts getting hurt and Garou gets more aggressive, it would show where Garou excels.

If i remember correctly this was from an ova where there was a game tournament and characters like Garou, King, Saitama and a few others just happened to be there to compete (which would never happen in canon) but it wasn't just a regular game tournament as they could use something that makes their movements be replicated in the game but of course they were still allowed to also use a controller if they wanted to. Pretty sure one of the characters broke the system that was mimicking their movements because they were just too fast. I think it was garou but I'll rewatch it quickly to make sure
