Maaan it's great. Thanks for sharing. I love that 90's underground vibe. It is much better ten modern polished, extremely compressed productions. I hear your music is straight from your heart. Much aprecieated.
Oh boy, another fantastic track! Love the setup! Been thinking about getting some WinXP laptop on the cheap because I have a bunch of tracks and stuff that won't run on a modern machine (especially since I switch to Mac).
yo thanks mate! i'm fawning over this vintage setup, especially since i can still run Renoise 3.1 on it ... so i've got everything I need! plus, i get access to a ton of ancient 32-bit VSTs that have been lost to time and overtaken by a bunch of modern bloated music software. winxp is a great route to take because you can find a great classic laptop for like $30 and any software you'd need on archive.org. truly appreciate you checking out the track :)
This is so on point, love it, mad vibes! Are you running the main mix back into renoise to get the spectrum, or all channels? Also trying to figure what youre playing on psp, ridge racer? great work as always!!!
heya, thanks for checking it out! yup, the s5k and rm1x are going right back into the motu interface and getting monitored in renoise. the spectrum is just a sum of the two line input devices on the master. the psp is playing the Initial D game :)
yo Iso! thanks so much my man, truly appreciate you checking it out. I always get a ton of inspiration from your videos, really wish I could perform on the RM1X like you, such killer vibes with your tracks :)
@@arcologies Aw man thank you so much. I gotta admit that it works the same with your videos for me. I really love your melodic approach, it's really close to what I prefer to listen to. So... thank you again!

fkn amazing, can i ask what is the reason for using resnoise on xp the fact that it runs on later windows, just curiouds about that ? thanks, and also is the pads coming from the Yamaha RM1X?
@@saren6538 hey there! Thanks for checking out the video. I’m using xp for a variety of reasons, but the major ones being: it runs the Nord modular g1, Nord modular g2, and akai s5000 editing software perfectly. I also have a number of 32-bit plugins that will only run on older windows. It’s also nice sometimes using a computer that doesn’t have internet, less distractions :) Also, the fact that xp and all the music software on this runs without a ton of bloat, it’s super snappy and fast… I made the pads and atmospheric sounds on the akai s5000 :)
yah hmm, i didn't add a compressor or anything. i hear what you're saying though. i usually just record it and then push the gain a bit. for these hardware tracks, i like to capture the sound as true as possible without any processing. The version on soundcloud doesn't sound as overcompressed as this one. No idea what's going on with this vid lol. on.soundcloud.com/u3WQpLqTvNNEWjJs6 i did edit the video in final cut pro... maybe there was something that was going on there...
@@arcologies Speaking of my taste, you've hit the sweetspot on the SC version, kudos! However the pads there are facing some phase correlation issues for some reason (certainly not here on YT). For context: Continental European here, we tend to go straight to the point. Zero offense intended. :)
@@T_D_B_ It seems the issue has been resolved, as Arcologies must have replaced the audio. However, it's still clearly noticeable right from the start of the SC version, which remains unchanged (at least for now).
