Hey there! Thanks for checking out the video. I still use the tracker all the time and have dozens of unreleased tracks and projects I gotta release 😊 I bought a tracker plus a few months ago and love it. I use it ALL the time to make break samples on the couch lol.
Still have my og tracker and picked up a mini for commuting and flights etc. I'm not even a big drum n bass fan but really enjoy your atmospheric work and I think you have single handedly turned me on to the genre. Keep doing what you do and maybe I'll see you playing smartbar one day!
I am studying the project to learn how you arrange and pick sounds, it's really a treasure that you provide the project files. Thank you so very much! I have a question regarding your drums in general. Do you have go-to drum vsts / machines if you don't work with sampled breaks?
hey there! really happy you enjoy the projects files and music :) if i'm making assembled "one-shot" breaks on the computer, I'll use Reason and then bounce it out into renoise... mainly because I've always been a huge fun of Reason's drum machines and ReGroove feature. I have addictive drums as well, but truthfully... i have way more fun sampling one shots from... literally, tons of random songs from the 70s-90s, and making a vibey 90s/2k DNB beat. I enjoy using the Polyend Tracker (and now M8 tracker) to make beats and re-assemble break patterns away from the computer... they are my go-to when i don't want to stare at a laptop. what do you mainly use? do you have any good drum machine vst suggestions? I'm always curious and looking for new software to experiment with.
@@arcologies Thank you for the lengthy and insightful response =) I am still on my way to find my right "drum sound" for me. I come from a different genre but channels like yours led me into the world of dnb & jungle and I really want my next project to be in this ambient dnb genre. Recently I played a bit around with the UVI BeatBox Anthology 2 and layering some of those older machines with classic drum breaks. It has a nice little built in sequencer and sampled a ton of original old drum machines. I think I'd recommend this for the variety alone :)
@@huggybeats oh that's awesome, yah i'm a HUGE fan of UVI, especially their falcon synth/sampler VST! I have their 808 instrument, should probably check that anthology out hmmm. layering classic drum sounds with breaks is so much fun, especially for techstep/liquid!
