Thanks for the video. This looks like it will be easier to get the table for me than the board game.

This game is much simpler than the board game. It is quick and easy to set up and even non-gamers can pick it up pretty easily. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment!

    Congratulations on another excellent video.
As a great fan of TfM, I was curious how the faster dice game would appear. To be honest, I was more positive at the beginning. It seemed a little too long and fiddly for what it is.
And to rub some salt into Pat's many wounds...
58:00 Glai forgot to add two VPs after placing the ocean
1:09:30 Glai had a production of four yellow dice but took only three

Hi there SIrbrastias! It's really nice to hear from you. We hope all is well with you.
The dice game is a much lighter version of Terraforming Mars. It seems that it is getting lighter with each version from the original to Ares Expedition to the Dice Game. It is fun if you want a quick hit of TM but it lacks the depth of the original. It is nice though if you are playing with non-gamers because it is easy to pick up and still has some interesting decisions you have to make.
Thanks for rubbing salt into my MANY wounds... I have made notes in the Klingon subtitles.

Just a thought: for gameplay area management, place your GREEN cards sideways under your corporation in accordion fashion so the dice symbols stick out on the right next to the base dice types. Then you'd have them all aligned for easy reference. I know that doesn't really do anything but it would make your playing field less cluttered.
Looks like a fun version of the game though and a great way to introduce less hard-core board gamers to the concept of the game. Thanks for posting!

Hi David. Thanks for that suggestion.
This is indeed a fun, light version of the game. I would even say that it could work as a gateway game because the mechanics are very simple, and the turns are quick and fun.
      Thank you for watching!

Hi Pat & Glai! I love TM so I was excited to watch this. I've only heard negative reviews about this version🥺but I thought it was a fun way to play it even with the randomness of dice and cards. I was glad to see you could draw cards as a minor action. There also seemed to be plenty of opportunity to manipulate your dice rolls. What did you think? I know Glai loves TM so is this a version you would keep?

Hi Dee! Lovely to hear from you as always! :-)
Yes, even though the dice add a bit of randomness, there are many ways to change them so that mitigates the luck factor somewhat.
Glai is indeed a huge Terraforming Mars fan. We will certainly keep this one in our collection, but it will be more to play with our friends who don't play board games so much. It is easy to learn/teach because the mechanics are so simple, and of course having that Terraforming Mars theme is always great.
      Take care! :-)

On the first production turn, she discarded dice down to 2. It says all dice over 3. I believe she could have kept the 3 she started with.

Hello Miranda. Glai only had 2 dice for the first production turn because she had to give Pat one of her starting dice as she was the first player, and the first player must give the last player one die of their choice. Thanks a lot for watching our video.

She had the advantage on raw resources...

Yes, Glai set up her engine better and also wasn't afraid to do a production even if she had a lot of dice to get better cards and reset her played blue cards.
