Thomas Ryan, IV no problem at all!! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed them and found them helpful. I have intentions of doing more, but life has been busy! Enjoy your Kubota!
Just purchased the 4060 and it's my first tractor, so the videos are extremely useful. Thank you for taking the time to make them! Please keep making them, it may seem simple to you but they are a great help for those of us needing some explanations of what sometimes seems like easy stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing additional video's you make - very well done in common sense ways!
Thank you and enjoy your new tractor! I love mine after 80 hours and having it for almost a year. I'm hoping to make a video of the back hoe being removed and replaced in the next several weeks
Thanks in part to your review video and others I ordered a L6060 Monday, your detailed list of options you got helped a bunch! I didn't opt for the seat because of the cloth and skipped the hydraulic quick releases because I don't plan on taking loader off much, didn't get a stereo as I have a real nice one I pulled from my sons old truck I just put up for sale. Kept my B2710 for reasons I don't even know, I'm sure it won't get any attention once it's bigger sibling gets here. Love the quality of your videos, hope you keep them coming. Thanks!!
Thanks Rob!! I remember waiting for mine and how excited I was! I'm sure you'll love it! Good luck and thanks for watching my videos. That's why I make them!
Just a thought on the backhoe outriggers bleeding down while in storage. I use a 1" ratchet strap from one side to the other after I remove my Backhoe from the tractor, this prevents the weight of the arms from pulling down on the cylinders and then I am not tripping over the arms while it is sitting in my shop. Great Video BTW. Cheers!
yes it is but because of the hip on them they are grossly over priced, there are just as good brands with much better warranty, and service then this brand for far less money. and they have more power to the wheels and pto, for far less money, and parts are cheaper to, were this brand parts are way over priced, your paying for the high dollar marketing. and everything you add to it is extra were others it all comes standard, it is all in marketing
One tip is when you are lifting the weight off you should angel the bucket forward so that the weight of the tractor isn’t on the stabilizer arms on the loader
Thanks for your videos ! Ive had my L4060 a year and just took the loader off the 1st time. I do have a question, Do you have a part number for that FASTER brand disconnect ? I would love to get 1. Thanks again.
I own 3 Kubotas, it's an easy process. Just a tip the larger holes on the bracket that holds the set pins in place are to hold your pins so you don't have to lay them on the floor.
You're right about not moving those attachments after removal (unless you have a very serious dolly). The loader is 1280 lb plusthe bucket (250 -300 lb) and the BH 92 Backhoe is 1800 lb not including the dipper bucket (100-200 lb). These are amongst the heaviest (and heaviest duty) attachments on any brand of "compact" tractor.
My dealer instructed me to raise loader, drop stands, slightly roll the bucket in the dump position, lower back to ground where edge of bucket is near contact with ground. Engage parking brake and exit cab on the loader control side. Slowly move the loader control down with bucket still curled slightly in dump position until the pin on loader control side is free. Do not pull pin on control lever side until you walk around and confirm other pin is free (as it should be) as you never want to operate with only one pin in as it could do damage to the loader. Pull opposite side pin, return to control lever side, pull pin, get back on tractor to ease the lever up, (both pins are now removed), to "gently" raise the loader from the brackets at the cab. Loader will lift out of brackets. Reposition curl of bucket to be flat on ground. When clear, 2 inches is ample room, you can kill engine, move control left/right and up/down to verify all pressure as been released to aid in the reconnect procedure. Remove each hydraulic quick connect by puling back on the coupler collar. Remove hoses in whatever order you are comfortable making sure each hose still has color labels to match with where it came from. Biggest thing I found to make this job easy is on a level hard surface. Curl the bucket returning to the flat position tends to move the loaded forward about six inches during the removal so allow a few inches in front of the bucket in selecting where to remove. Also, NO NEED for the screwdriver on plastic caps as if you will pull the collar back on the coupler, the retaining balls recess and the plastic caps are freely removed. Pulling the collar will not release fluid as the coupler as some might fear as the collar is not attached to the check valve inside the coupler.
Hey Jeff, you're doing it the wrong way my friend. You take the weight off the front end to remove the pins with the bucket pretty much flat then once pins come out roll the bucket towards tractor and it comes right off. It's not supposed to (snap) off like that. Installation is the reverse order. Try it, you will love it. Awesome video though. Love the barn.
Thanks Brandon. I actually kicked myself after shooting the video. I've taken that loader off 10 times and never had it (snap) like that! I was sidetracked with the video and wasn't paying enough attention to what I was doing. Thanks for the comment!
Jeff b that can be very dangerous being side tracted by a dam video, not something one should be doing if they get side track, i have seen a guy get pined doing the install as his mind was on a fight he had with his wife. he couldnt reach thhe controls to free him self once the loader drab him
If you pull back the rings on the hydraulic connection, you won’t have to use that screw driver. my dust caps are the same size as the male connectors on the tractor, so it functions the same way. Pull back the ring and it slides right out.
I love the backhoe. I don’t use it as often as I’d like. If your looking to dig trenches or anything that requires you to move often, you might consider a mini excavator. Moving the machine requires you to jump off the machine and into the cab to move it and then back to the backhoe again. Just something to consider. Goodluck!!
Thanks for the info. Looks like maybe even i might be able to do this. I should be taking delivery of my L4060 early this week. Could you show a close up picture of your bolt on cutting edge cutting edge. Not sure if mine was done right. Thanks again for your great videos
I will try to show you that somehow. I can tall you that they have to order a special bucket with the holes already in the bucket for the cutting edge to bolt on. I know this because they ordered me the wrong bucket the first time and I asked how they were going to fasten it on. Good luck and enjoy the new tractor!!
Great video! If I had to guess the large holes in the brackets below the pins are where you'd put them rather than on the floor. Was looking at the L6060 this weekend for my snow removal business and have been questioning myself as to the horsepower needs, I always seem to err on the side of the more power the better. Any input on whether the extra 20hp is all that necessary?? Thanks
Rob Morris thanks! Unfortunately we didn't get any snow at all last year so I didn't have the chance to push any snow. I was pretty bummed! So far I've had all the power I need, but I haven't done a ton of dirt work or anything.
Nice video. Great use of the stall mats. They are generally used for horse stalls so they don’t have to stand on hard ground for long periods while inside a barn stall. They also work great as a cheap way to protect your pickup bed and trailer deck. Thanks for your review videos I have been considering trading my tractor for an L60 and your videos have been helpful. Also with the quick coupler I thought I saw where Kubota has a 4 and an 8 version of that. I assume the 8 hose version would allow the third function hoses to disconnect quickly. I hadn’t considered getting the quick coupler. Do you think it was worth the money spent? Also where does the third function terminate in the front? Did you get the quick coupler up front or does it just terminate to ag couplers on the loader?
Hi Matt, Thanks for watching my videos. I was never told about the 8 version of the quick coupler. I guess I'm not sure what the other 2 would be used for. That could be new in the last year as well I suppose. If you plan to disconnect the attachment on the front often, then I would say its worth it. If you only plan to do it every now and then, then I would say don't spend the money. The worst part about not having it would be having to remove the male ended dust shields each time you want to plug it back in. They are a bit of a pain to remove. The third function terminates on the horizontal support member right behind the bucket. I did get the quick coupler for the third function as well, but I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I hope this helps. I'm not sure if you saw the first video I did, which was a full walk around and very detailed review of the tractor when i first got it. That video might show the third function location. Feel free to ask me any other questions you have! Good luck!
Thanks Jeff. I watched your first video but didn't recall the third function location. I think the 8 would do your 4 for the loader, 2 for the third function, and 2 for the hydraulic quick disconnect for the bucket (where you normally have the two levers to raise manually). That's my guess anyway. When I selected it on Kubuta's online build tool it was like twice the price, yikes! I don't remover the loader that much as I usually like to have it down when mowing in case there is something in the grass, since my place is still pretty rough right now, so I'll probably opt out of that and spend it on additional rear remotes. Oh btw also good tip on the backhoe spreading out, as I will have to drop that off most of the time so good to know about the space requirements for it.
That sounds about right Matt! I forgot about the hydraulic quick disconnect. I thought long and hard about getting that and at the end of the day I didn't think I needed to be that lazy! lol! Anyway, let me know if you have any other questions.
normally if you want the 3rd function on the quick couple at the tractor they normally used the same one that is at the front of the loader arm cross tube, in my opion they are not needed, as the loader really never needs tto come off, it is handy to have it on no mater what you are doing, even brush hogging there is always something that needs to be cleared such as big rocks moved to the side, plus it give you better traction on the front wheels in 4 wheel drive to clim step hills or wet area, there is nothing you cant do with the loader on other then do it better and faster and other jobs at the same time with the loader
Unfortunately, I am not using a quick attach system yet. I've been looking into it and I haven't decided yet what I want to use. If I get one I will do a video for sure!
them stall mate are to put on concrete floors were you stand for hours at a time, as concrete is hard on your back, feet legs for anyone on it for a long time day in day out, also to but batteries on, as we all know if you put batteries on concrete it totals them. first by draining them down, then if left for a longer time it drains them below 50%, and you do that 4 or 5 times and the batty is finished
I just got my 4060 last September. Your videos have been a great help, especially now that I’m approaching 50 hours. Thanks!!
Thomas Ryan, IV no problem at all!! I’m glad you’ve enjoyed them and found them helpful. I have intentions of doing more, but life has been busy! Enjoy your Kubota!
Awsome stuff! Very informative as im waiting on delivery of my new l4060 cab in the next few days .
Hey....Congratulations!!!! Thanks for watching.Enjoy!

Great work my friend. Thanks for the video. L4060LE with backhoe arrives here Tuesday. 11 week wait, you could say im pretty excited!
That’s Great Pete!! Congrats, I know you will love it!
Thanks for the video! Helps me on my L3560.
Your welcome!! Enjoy!
Once you get the pins out, you put them into the bracket located by each pin.

shannon reiswig great idea, thanks!!
Or jack stands under the main body of the hoe
Nice demonstration. There should a bracket on each loader arm to set your pins in. That is an awesome setup that you have there.
Thanks Joe!

Dave D loving it!!

Adam G thanks!! After doing this many times since the video, it has become much easier and faster. Practice makes perfect!!

Unfortunately I don’t see a part number on it. You could try “ ET002 “.
Or “ 26027 “
Mine was put on from the factory so I’m not sure. Sorry.
Jeff, if you get a chance could you please do a viedo on taking off and putting back on backhoe. Thanks!
I'll try to get that video up soon!
Surprised you didn't bend the kick stands putting the entire front end weight of the tractor on them. ,👀
I’m glad I didn’t! I didn’t have that much weight on them. Thanks for watching!

Hello: Did you ever have one of the flat face couplers develop a leak? If so, how did you fix it?
Knock on wood I have not had to deal with that. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Drkenneth, just as it is said curl it back to the tractor, no not dumping it, that would be curl it forward
All of this is covered in the manual
For sure!! Some people don’t like to read. They’d rather watch a video. 😉

Got real bored with scratching the concrete and how to put on the backhoe and how much time it takes went to a different video that got to the point
U know the holded brackets on the arms are for keeping your pins from getting lost?
I have learned that since the making of that video, but thank you!!
@@jeffb7637 no worried bub, just looking out
