Loved this video! I first saw you on epic gardening and have been following your shorts. Your voice is so calming and I really enjoy your videos! And you’re so pretty btw. I’m a beginner gardener and I am in zone 7 as well so I am glad to have found your channel. ❤
One of my favorite ways to preserve peppers is to chop and slice the peppers, I put peppers in separate freezer bags and use them in recipes when I need them, in stir frys and sauces and such
Check the pumpkin growing on the ground and see if it rooted into the soil. That maybe why it’s so crazy productive. They take up so much room on the ground, but those always seem to be the most productive for me compared to the ones on a trellis. The size of your garden is similar to mine. I like seeing how you can fit it all in.
Oh yes it’s definitely rooted in many places! It’s just my favorite because it held up to squash bugs, squash vine borer, and powdery mildew much more than any of the others! My fav variety of pumpkin so far. I love it so much! And yes! We can fit so much into our backyards, it’s wild! ❤️
As a fan of long-form videos, I'd love to see more info on Seminole pumpkins, saving seeds, favorite plants of yours and why. What kind of paint did you use to repaint the coop? Do you have a vet or two for the chickens if something (forbid!) were to happen? And, finally, it would help new people to any and all gardening channels to know in the about tab what growing zone. Thanks for being awesome. Going to watch your July 2023 full tour and the meet the flock short now. 🌻
Thank you!! And yes I totally should’ve put my growing zone, I’ll add it into the description! I’m in zone 7b. And I repainted the coop with an exterior paint that way it is very easy to clean. It’s been great so far. And yes, I have a vet for them in my city just in case anything happens (I hope not! But chickens are also very fragile little creatures). Thank you so much for watching!!! ❤
Yep it's my first time too. A couple of them are kinda poking through the soil so I opened a shell up around a month ago and the peanut inside was pink and soft. So I guess not quite ready yet. I'm sure we're both hoping for a good harvest after waiting all this time lol.@@meggrowsplants
Brie the plant lady in Fuquay Varina grows lots of peanuts in her food scape. I’d love a video on seed saving. Congratulations on the chickens! How much research did you have to do to feel comfortable getting them? My zinnias are ugly too in Cornelius.
I’ll have to check her out and see if she has some tips! And thank you! I did alotttt of research. I bought a couple of chicken keeping books (one about keeping them and one about health issues) and read them just so i was fully prepared. But I like the books and they really did make me feel more confident! There’s so much to learn about chickens it can feel overwhelming but I really think they’re soooo worth it. I love them so much ❤
Chickens are amazing. Once they start laying eggs, you will feel an even greater sense of satisfaction with them. I don't grow peanuts, but I live near some peanut farmers and they usually don't harvest until the plants look like they have died. I have a picture I can send you if you want to see what they look like.
They’re the best. I seriously love them so so much! I can’t wait for eggs. I’m hoping I’ll at least have a couple before Christmas but not betting on it since it’ll be winter. But who knows! And sure, you can send me a pic via IG if you have any!
This was so nice to see! Your my plenty soul sister we have so many garden things in common. Including the compost bins. I was going to use pallets for my set up but I like the material you’re using. Did you build it yourself?
Love a planty soul sister ❤️ I didn’t build it myself, it’s a kit from Greene’s! I really like it because you can remove the slats for ease of turning the compost!
I have a RUclips short on them all and I’m planning a longer form to post as well but I named them all after queens in history. So we have Charlotte, Nefertiti, cleopatra, Zenobia, Marie Hentoinette, and Theodora. Their little personalities are so cute. Keep an eye out for a video soon!
I would love a video on how you save seeds
Noted! ❤️

I would love to see how you overwinter any plants you keep! And another review of best crops based on what you’ve tried!
Noted! Definitely filming the best and worst crops video this week!
I'm in central TX, and my peanuts are taking foreverrrrr too! I'm waiting for them to die back but they do not want to die lol
Okay at least I’m not alone! lol is this your first time growing them too?

What are your chickens names and personalities?
