First video I seen on the 511 seems to be a nice machine anytime I ever go on your site I never see use equipment and a lot of times I don’t seem to get new videos to their seven 810 months year-old loved the product thanks Andrew
The 5-11 is all the splitter most people will ever need. I would want the auto cycle valve as I could use that time to get next round being a senior my cycle time isn't the fastest. Great to see the pickroo being used it's a back saver
The 5-11 with the autocycle is about as fast an anyone would normally work. The pickaroon saves a lot of sore backs for sure. Really appreciate all the support david.
yes Andrew i saw it was yellow birch and i have a lot of it on one of my wood lots here in Vermont love it some of it is stringer then hell and some is so nice it split's like butter
I want one. I need one....weeks ago. I can't afford one :-( I have been studying current wood splitters, looking for as good or better, than our "family" splitter. This 5-11 is what I would imagine as a dream machine upgrade. Needs the automatic return, to save some time. Probably safer though when you have to hold the handle, when pushing forward.
Man like Iv always been taught having the right tools for the job and you’ve definitely got the tools makes things almost easy and in this case for me It’d be fun thanks for the video
One of those 3rd on the tractor forks was a yellow birch based on the bark. I'm thinking the nasty one was elm. I see Jerry 'with a G' and Cousin Mike were nowhere to be found to help you out with those monster sized firewood rounds. The 5-11 handles those like a champ. I would think that adding the auto cycle valve option for the 5-11 and you'd have a great splitter for the average homeowner that splits 5 to 10 cords a year.
I’m surprised you don’t sell a boat load of that model. Think a video on that machine with a box wedge on it would be cool. I do have to say you swing that log rite pick like a golf driver! Super happy for the wait list! It just reaffirms your doing all the right stuff
I think it's just because we don't showcase it very often. I think it would fit most guys needs and price point. We have been really fortunate to be as busy as we are. Lots of great people to support us
I agree 1000% Speed sells, but how long can the average man keep up with a 12-22 before the machine is spending an unnecessary amount of run time waiting for the Human to feed it? I don't want to buy capacity that I can't use, if you know what I mean. Decisions Decisions... LOL!
Hey Andrew, geat to see a 5-11 in action. I have thoroughly enjoyed mine and how efficiently it handles my wood pile every year even if it is one of your earlier models without quite as many of the bells and whistles of these newer ones. It always impresses myself, friends and family to see it work. Was disappointed that saw tech didn't happen this year for our yearly meet but maybe things will settle and it will happen next summer.
Yes I was thinking yellow birch as I a few in my current log load. I can attest to the 5-11s capability. Just picked mine up and am very pleased with it. It certainly meets all my expectations for my use being a homeowner. Makes splitting wood a real joy. Great job Andrew.
Your splitters are top notch! Those huge rounds were nothing for it to process. If you make 1 video a week during the winter you make all your wood at the same time . I bet you always have plenty of high quality wood to burn . Great work !
Andrew I think those were the largest logs I have ever seen split on U Tube. I sure like to have one of those 5 11 splitters. They are a really nice piece of equipment. I too would op for the auto cycle.
Hi Andrew, I'm working on being a new customer discussing options with your salesmen. been checking out the 12 22. Thanks for showing the 5-11. I've seen your video using the Box Wedge with the 5 11 really impressive. I understand with Eastonmade lead time being long the demand is high. I''ve seen very few for resale or used. I've been lucky to see one unit (12 22) in Texarkana Ark. I'm looking to go into business Thanks for the Videos.
Currently using a Chinese kinetic splitter and a tractor supply 25ton to do about 50 cord a year, thinking the 5-11 with a box wedge would be the perfect fit for my part time operation as I plan to do about 60-70 cord next year!
Yeah, I thought it was black birch; we have some yellow here in west WI but it's almost all ornamental, and more bronze than that was, maybe because the ones I've seen are smaller.
What you did in 17:36 of the vid would be every round for me to split that’s why I need one of your machines. My true value machine with single wedge makes a single round take like 6-8 cycles of the ram I need to shorten this.
@24:40 You can see a nice progression of a "built-in feature" of these splitters. With the machine not connected to anything, it is stout enough to scoot without hurting anything as the woodpile builds up at the discharge. If you have enough room and lay it out right, you can stack the rank of blocks along your route to keep everything close at hand and flowing nicely.
Howdy Andrew. Simply put, I’m impressed. After using and servicing the Ultra you sent Joe’s Premium Firewood, I know who I’ll be contacting if I ever need to buy another splitter... You! Joe gets his share of hecklers about the Ultra, but I think I understand your engineering logic. As you stated “It’s not a machine for everyone”. But for the person who’s breaking down sub 12” rounds and doesn’t want to waste a ton of time waiting for the cylinder to cycle, it’s an awesome little machine👍🏻 Bless’ns to ya! Tedd
Awesome stuff Andrew. As soon as the listing are up I’ll look. If things go my way maybe it will work out. I don’t know but I’d love to have a go at doing firewood. People sell it all over but I don’t see many doing delivers or that kind. But I’m probably just looking at a pipe dream. But if nothing else it’s a fun hobby (wood working/forest work)
Biggest thing is having a quality product and good service. If you have that you will succeed in the firewood business. Thanks for all the support seth
Eastonmade Wood Splitters thanks Andrew. I look forward to seeing the listings for the used equipment. Maybe I might have the opportunity to purchase one?
Love that 5-11 . It would be perfect for a guy who only splits a few cords a year . That's the one for me . Just put the auto return on and away you go . Can you put the trailer hitch on the front or back .
Wish you split some Locust, when I was younger, got free firewood clearing a 1/4 acre for a muffler place. Cut everything down except the locust. Dulled our chainsaw on it. Did a sharpening job on it, still couldn’t cut it down.
@20:00 People are ALWAYS shocked when I'm slinging rounds like that up onto my 22-28. They never think the log lift will make it happen. They don't know what overbuilt/overpowered monsters these machines are.
Looks like yellow birch (Betula alleghaniensis). This kind of wood is common here in south Quebec. Note that yellow birch is rated at 26.6 millions BTU per dry cord while the white birch (Betula papyrifera) is rated at 23.8 millions BTU per dry cord.
I like the wood splitters plus thinking on it of buying one but I already got one from harbor freight 20TON gas wood splitter duel action wood splitter really good
Yes sir from Gallatin Tennessee 30mins away from Nashville Tennessee man watching you from in the southern states I splitt hickory firewood for a Southern restaurant down here

Thanks Andrew! You have an amazing line of splitters and conveyors! I would love to add one of your machines to my property here in southern Ontario. Just graduated to a splitter last season after a couple of decades of swinging an axe. My hardware store 27 ton is a big improvement compared to swinging an axe but would love to get a hold of one of your units and conveyors. Maybe I could go from feeding my own outdoor wood boiler to selling some for some extra cash! Keep up the production and quality units! Maybe one day I will have the Eastonmade gracing my wood lot.
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters Oh it did! but I see the advantage of a few more bells and whistles like hydraulic lift, hydraulic 4way splitter, pushing the split wood right off the table onto the conveyor!!! One day!😃
Hey Andrew, thanks for the info about used splitters. I've enjoyed learning about Eastonmade, I'm very interested in a demo or a pre owned unit for my part time job what do i need to do to keep up with any Splitters

I purchased an Ultra two years ago. I'm a home owner and burn about three to four cord a year. I owned a 30 ton "big box store" splitter for eight years before that. I love my splitter...it splits better then my old one...way faster and more power. It does not have the lift but I have a tractor with a front loader. I fill the bucket with rounds, bring it over to the splitter and go to town. I just wish the Ultra would stack it for me.
You're pick works better than mine ,what is it? I have red oak that looks like a spaghetti covered popsicle.have a 8 year old DR 34 ton. Haven't seen that birch hear yet lake george ny.
Hey Andrew, I was noticing the differences between on the 4-way wedges on your splitters. I was wondering what are the degrees upwards on the Ultra and the 5-11? I would believe that degree angle is 0. And the Ultra is more like 15 or 25 degrees. Am I right or wrong just saying? lol
Or Sycamore. I've never came across a piece of elm yet that I couldn't split with my Brave 22 ton. But, I've come across 2 pieces of Sycamore now that stopped it in its tracks.
Watching you handle those rounds .makes a old man tired. I can’t do that any more. That is why I had to go to a different wood splitter.
Sorry, but don't thank us for the support. The support is deserved...you've earned it.
Hard to soar with the eagles if you run with the turkeys. You guys have helped build a great community here. The support is very much appreciated.
