Excellent review, you’re the first RUclipsr, who has ever mentioned as far as I’m concerned that the apps may be necessary for those who have certain disabilities or limitations. Bravo and thank you for the review again.
I bought the cosori blaze couple months ago, OMG I love this model, rarely do I use my instant vortex , I don’t use the tray very often ,I use the cosori everyday, t don’t agree with you on the tray, no bend issues at all, don’t force it, it doesn’t need preheat because of the 2 burners. The cosori Blaze set it forget it no more shaking or flipping.
Instead of pushing the crisper tray down evenly, insert one side of the crisper tray down into the basket then push the other side down and you won't get the resistance.
My cosori has a tray that is attached to the basket. You can separate it at the handle and the oils stay in the bottom basket, so you can take fries out without the bottom basket, if that makes sense. I can change times and heat to what ever I want. I absolutely love it. We use it every day, some times a few times a day. My model is the COSORI Air Fryer Oven Combo 5.8QT Max Xl Large Cooker.
I think I have the same model. I love it. I like being able to disconnect the interior basket and leaving the drippings to clean later. I love rib eyes and t bones cooked in my Cosori - I put it in the preheated basket and it sizzles!!
I have had mine for about 3 months now and I love cooking in it. And I am like you I don't need to do the wifi part cuz I am right there with it. Thanks so much for sharing, I think you are gonna love yours too!!
Today October 26th ,2023 I received my first Cosori, after washing it and paper towels drying it I sprayed a little Spam on each corner with the rubber or washamackcalling material and it went smoothly in and out after the empty dry first run. I will continue spraying it for a longer life Spam. You don't have to do as I did I'm just sharing.
Oh my gosh as a Cosori air fryer owner, this is super great, however I am happy with my current one, guess whenever it goes out I already know where to look and get another one! Thanks for sharing another great product!
I currently have a cosori air fryer I purchased last year. Basically I got this for my boys to use because it was user friendly. This air fryer looks like something I need, as you said, you definitely have to use tongs to get the food out or the grease ends up on the plate for most air fryer units like this. This air fryer looks great and I love the double heating plate. Do I need it???? NO!!! Lol but I like it lol...,☺️❤️☺️
I like that you can program the machine for various things you may want to cook and that it cooks evenly for the most part without having to flip the food. I wish that it had a handle in the middle like the Instant Pot ones do. Those wings look delicious. Thanks for sharing your honest review as always. I will keep Cosori on my list if I decide to switch as some point.
I just ordered this model from another channel I subscribe to because of her FYI I have the instant vortex but this element on the bottom is what I need as I am compromised from a stroke blood disorder I inherited from a parent. Was great to see your review as well, the other channel has been using the blaze it’s her favorite. ❤ as you say you like it as well.
Hi there , im over here in the UK watching the videos on this air fryer just to make sure im getting a great one and was concerned that the display is in F and not Celsius and then you go and changed it Boom! Excellent im now going to order it. thank you
Have you had any problems with the fat collecting at the bottom burning or smoking due to the bottom heating element? Do you still prefer the Instant air fryers and which one would you recommend to a family of 5? Not having to shake/flip food in the Cosori Dual Blaze seems very convenient.
Yes, that is an issue with this model. It tends to work the best with things that don't drip a lot of fat. If you cook a lot of things like fatty burgers, bacon, etc then I would recommend the instant vortex with the window. 👍🏼ruclips.net/video/HClVbTsZo2I/видео.html
That is a most intriguing air fryer! Not quite sure why some manufacturers have eschewed the removable basket because that is a big help, but the bottom heating element is, to quote the late great Arte Johnson, "Verrrry interesting!" I guess Cosori didn't have much use for the fish button! I really liked your unboxing video of the first one you ever got! I wish I had the imagination that your girls had then and doubtless still have! As always my absolute very very best wishes to all of you including your pets and the stars of both Chicken and Goat TV! Take care!
My cosori dual blaze came today from amazon I'm in the UK cooked my chicken wings on 205c for 10 mins on airfry no turn perfectly cooked I had the older cosori basket one and it was good I had to perheat then cook chicken wings for 5 minutes then I had to turn them over for another 5 mins now I don't have to turn them over also my phone and smart watch let's me know when ifs finished it says enjoy your food 😅 the dual blaze also is easier to clean happy days
Preheating isn’t to heat the air in the fryer like in an oven. Preheat in a regular air fryer, I have two, is best used for steak, meat, or anything you want to begin to sizzle when it hits the hot basket. Add food quickly and shut the drawer before the basket itself cools down.
great job! 1st time viewer - can you please tell regarding the Cosori 6.8 qt air fryer about smoke during cooking. I notice you had the fryer between your sink and stove and I didn't see any smoke coming out - I'm concerned about smoke from cooking and smoke alarm - please advise
Do you think please the dual blaze is better than the other normal one? Have you tried also the normal one to compare? I am hesitating because some people on RUclips found no relevant difference in cooking results... Something that surprised me as one of them has one more heating element. Thank you very much
We’ve had this for a few months and like it very much. I sometimes still turn things like chicken wings over but don’t really need to. Don’t use the app tho. It’s great for making lo-carb “pizza” with lo-carb tortillas. Also good for making pepperoni chips. Very easy to use.
What are your thoughts about the "finish"? It seems to be non stick finish and not stainless steel. I want buy one, but the non stick and heat possibly releasing chemicals are keeping me from purchasing.
I have hunted for a drawer style air fryer without any finishes but have been unsuccessful in finding one up to this point. I too would prefer to avoid the chemicals if possible, but I've decided that since I can't find one, the convenience is worth it to me to keep using the ones with a coating.
@@IndigoNili what about the Cuisinart? The inside is metal, no non stick. I'm not sure if the air fryer tray is stainless steel or cheap metal. We had one for close to a year until the fan started making noise. We got another Cuisinart on warranty but the fan made the same noise right out of the box so we changed to the Ninja Foodie Grill (we have 2 now). The Cuisinart air fryer tray was a pain to wash and the unit was a bit bulky on the counter.
Yes Cuisinart has an oven style air fryer that has no nonstick. 👍🏼 I'm hoping to find a drawer style without the nonstick coating. So far I haven't had any luck.
Have you tried the Cosori toaster oven with air fryer? I’m thinking about getting one as there are some good deals. Plus Black Friday is getting near. Thanks for the video.
Thanks so much for the review. I was literally going to ask about the units change and you said it. Great i'm ordering this now in France where there is a "chef's edition". Unit comes in a grey colour and includes a cookbook and some accessories.
Thank you for reviewing this… does it need Pre-Heating as I find that better for my Air-fryer to not just put everything in a cold oven…. if it does where would those settings be?
If you use tiny bit olive on each corner of tray it fits in really easy! This idea came from you tuber butlersempire, very good informative couple,Martin and Sharon ,who are a lovely couple🇬🇧
Nice -tnx for the video and unboxing :) We're going to buy this airfryer ourself soon... so I do browse and watch through some videos on the RUclips untill then :) -with kind regads from Arnt Petter Andersen in Norway😎
That air fryer looks really good! I kinda wish it was a tray style air fryer instead of a drawer though. My current air fryer still works well enough but it is impossible to clean the door well plus the handle is broken and glued on. I'll definitely keep this brand in mind when I'm looking at deals this holiday season.
I'm currently in the market for a new air fryer so this was really helpful. Thanks! Can you provide the name of the salt vinegar seasoning that you used?
Just got mine yesterday. Thanks for the video. very informative. I have the older Cosori 5.8 qt smart AF that is on recall. it works great but it is a lot louder than this one and you had to flip or shake your food. I'm looking forward to using this one. I never used the VeSync app with it. But I may do so with the DB. On the old model, I always placed a sheet of foil between the inner basket and the main drawer to catch the crumbs and some of the oil/grease. I'm not sure if I need to do that with the DB. Any thought s on using foil for that purpose?
How do you change Farenheit to celcius? mine is set to celcius but I wanted to know how you switch between the 2 since air fry recipes on youtube tend to use farenheit
Did you notice any "chemical" smells from it when you first got it? I got a T-Fal air fryer and it smelled HEAVILY of chemicals when I first used it... I cleaned it a bunch and ran it with water, vinegar, and lemon juice inside it for 30 minutes or so... The smell went away after that but unfortunately it has returned and I am looking to get a new one.
Hi there! Why the Omni Plus and not the Omni Pro? They are the same right, except the pro has more features? I’m looking to purchase a good air fry oven. I have the Ninja Foodie XL pro smart oven just shipped to me new and unopened - I’m not sure I wanna keep it due to the reviews of cleaning nightmares. But one major feature I adore over so many other air fryers I’ve reviewed is it has a temperature probe unlike many others.
I have an older one that is a drawer and a newer one that is like a toaster oven. I am using both right now, but probably won't replace the drawer one when it dies.
Looks great for the wings! I always seem to miss my halfway mark to flip things so that is a great attribute. But I do beef/steak more than chicken in my small basket type air fryer. I usually lift the crisper tray (using silicone tipped tongs) after removing the meat and pour the rendered fat (and spices) back over my resting meat. Its something easily done with my wimpy little model that very quickly lost three little silicone/rubber stoppers on the tray. The Cosori's look substantial and struggling with the crisper tray while still piping hot would not be safe. As a cancer survivor, I try to buy ceramic or other safer non-stick covered items - what is the non-stick made of?
They don't give much info about the non-stick coating besides that it's PFOA & BPA Free. I've hunted for a non coated drawer style air fryer but have yet to find one. There are several oven style airfryers that are not coated though. Cuisinart and Instant Omni ovens are 2 that come to mind!
Everyone puts the crisper plate in wrong, in the instructions it tells you to tilt one side down first, not the way I’ve seen almost every video do, sliding it from the even gives you too much resistance...
The crisper plate is "difficult to get in" because you're pushing it in straight. You're supposed to put one edge in first, then push down the other side. It's on like page two of the instructions after how to remove packing material and plug in. 🙄

My top heating element rattles when the drawer is put in or when I bump my counter. Is this anything to be concerned about?
Yes it might bite if you get too close
It has to be 500 degrees to let off any chemical odors.
you have to put the plate sideways in.
Tilt it 6:36
How high / hot does this one get?
400 degrees
I'd give her a 6.5/10
😳 why are you using metal tongs on nonstick
Cool

Not really

That’s because you’re putting that basket in wrong. It’s not measured the same all the way around one side is a tad bit longer than the other side.

Curious: how do you clean the coil area in the bottom?
Surely it gets oily from cooking meats.
The drawer is fully contained so no oil gets to the coils
