Set list: 01:12 En force 05:16 No sanctuary 11:06 Empire 17:00 Liquid sky 21:54 The right side of my mind 29:29 Take hold of the flame 35:42 NM 156 39:08 The lady wore black
I was at this show! The setlist was the best until the 2012 show I attended! No Sanctuary is still my favorite Ryche song so this what makes this show special out of all the shows I attended along with hanging with other Rychers for the first time!
I was at this show, it had a great local feel being in their home town. Set list that true Ryche fans loved. Even without DeGarmo, it was a high point in Queensryche's live performances
Geoff Tate sounds phenomenal this show.. fuck the setlist kicks was too . wish Chris would come back.. just one off show with the original lineup ..look at pink Floyd after they performed at Live 8 Rick Wright died a year later or so..it probably won't happen though.. Chris is happy flying planes & that project hes got with his daughter The Rue which is great in it's own style of music.. Geoff better on his own too I guess.. tod does a great job of singing the queensryche catalog ..its just not the same to me.. Chris Degarmo, Geoff Tate, Scott Rockenfield, Michael Wilton & Eddie Jackson will always be the best linuep.. "Now you cry..GIVE ME SANCTUARY!!!!!!!
"So uh, make sure you get your voice on tape! All right?!?! LOL!!! So amazing! Wow, His VVVVVOOOOIIIIICCCE.....! I hope I meet him in Heaven & get to sing with him!!! And not just sing, but hang-out! I have a hundred questions for him *** AND *** I have a question for you, "tolvis77" - Where have you been, keeping this treasure? It's so nice to hear & see them together ~ Waaaaah! :'( {shedding tears. Thanks for this upload! ~ peace
For me as a big Rush fan and QR fan it was not about there voices I could accept it knowing that over the years your voice will change. It was and will be about the style of music your fans enjoy . Throughout Rush career we expected changes and welcomed it because it was their style and they were all onboard . QR with Geoff trying to take control was what destroyed them imo
Geoff Tate! What a singer! Range, dynamics, tone. You name it, he has got it. I do not want to dissrespect anyone but the Todd version of Queensryche should not be called Queensryche. Lacking finese and depth in writing songs. But to each their own. Live and let live or let die.
Geoff has the power to his voice more then Todd to maintain a clean high register in his voice. But Geoff has lost his voice and his mind as well. If he would of worked on his voice from here and got it back in shape, kept his family out of it,and made metal music instead of pop music,I think he would of stayed with QR. They obviously have different music taste now,so the split was about all the rest of the band could do. American Solder was their best since Empire and then it got even worse.
So true. I mean even here he's far from his peak in 86/87, but it's still a great performance. And I'm pretty sure if he cared more about his voice he could still come close to this standard but alas...
Ran out of room ha. People age and their taste change in what they want to play and listen to and this is what happened within QR. Geoff wanted pop music, the rest of the band wanted to rock out and kick ass. Things should of been done differently on both sides to come to an agreement on how to split, but it seems GT wasn't for all that to start with. He will get what he deserves
Great performance, I wish could turn the time back to attend those lives.

American Soldier was their best since Promised Land.

Loses alot of steam without degarmo and the bands backing vocals. Lacks color.
no one like tate!
if tate still sang like this i'd take him over todd. unfortunatly he's terrible now.
