I won't be surprised if they save that one for version 11.5. I am sure it is already possible to do exactly that but Apple are going to hold out I recon. Cheers 😀
I’m a session guitarist and I think Logic is the best money I’ve ever spent, I’m looking to upgrade from a late 2015 iMac 27in. What I wanted to ask is, What setup do you have.
Excellent question Pat. As I’ve been using Logic for a long time now since the mid 90s in so I have loads of different Mac 💻 🖥️ machines many of them running old versions of Logic but they still kick butt when needed. Currently I’m on an M1 Mac mini and a 15 inch MacBook Pro 2015 both running Ventura. The MacMini runs the full feature list of Logic 11 whilst the MacBook Pro run most of the features. Both run the Session Players. Having been in the game for such a long time I only ever buy what I need on the second hand market which means I get all the power I need for a fraction of the new price. I can then resell the older unit and keep things moving and also keep my money in my pocket 😀. I’m pretty handy on the IT tech side so I have always enjoyed upgrading computer components over the years which sadly is less possible now given the way new Mac computers are built nowadays. Cheers 😀
Thanks! I just stumbled upon your video, and can’t wait to view more. You have a very chilled delivery, and in winding up, you say Peace. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to learn from you!
I truly appreciate your very kind words @soundberger4003 and I’m delighted that you have found my channel by chance. I’m hopeful that my videos will help you on your journey and I trust that you will stick with me as I’m sure to bring you more great content right here. Thank you once again 🙏🏾
On the last point, I'm curious if inputting the chord via MIDI play requires one to predefine the chord length in the Chord Track,, as you did, or will it input all chords if one plays through the entire song or section across a blank Chord Track. I'll try myself but curious what's possible. Thx.
Thanks a million for the sub and for your kind words JD. 🙌🏾 As for entering chords in a sequence using MIDI unfortunately I don’t believe we are there yet. I’ve tried a number of ways but it seems to still be one chord at a time unfortunately. I recon a MIDI file import feature would be a great enhancement if Apple implemented it. Cheers 🙏🏾
Excellent question sir. I play keyboards 🎹 and bass guitar 🎸 on most of my songs so this chord progression was something I’d throw together if I was not using the session players. That’s why I say a bit of theory and playing experience helps greatly with these tools. Cheers 😀
No mix assistant. Cramped interface on iOS and a subscription with a au functionality that forces you to not use the devices pads , keyboard etc or you can’t record with the device ( that adds a lot of steps and wasted time. The ai instrument didn’t even work for me and was way out of time and key including the drummer that used to work but now is horrible. I guess you got trained hands on sounds like most of us are thrown to the dogs ina sea of keyboard shortcuts etc
It’s really unfortunate that you have had that experience with the new Logic 11 features. I’ve been a user of this DAW since 1996 and although there are some areas that are in need of further development my experience with this update is nothing short of amazing. Having said that, each person’s experience is always going to be different so I hear you completely.
If you people that make these A.i, product and equipment information videos, just stop talking so much, you'll get more subscribers. I know someone has taught you to talk for 2 plus minutes in the beginning of your videos and during the video's stop and give unnecessary information, but that doesn't work anymore. We just want you to get to the point, and we will subscribe, like and watch all of your videos. Thanks for the information.
Logic could easily recognise chords and create a chord chart without user imput . Hopeful of an update for this in future.

Cmd-T saved me from losing my mind. Thank you.
I recon I use that key command more than any other. It’s also one used in video editors too. Awesome 🙌🏾
Thank you
You’re welcome Mr Bass 🎸. Thanks for your feedback 🙏🏾
Great video. Subscribed!
Much appreciated JD🙌🏾

Hi there. How did you determine the initial chord progression from the non-session tracks please?
Excellent question sir. I play keyboards 🎹 and bass guitar 🎸 on most of my songs so this chord progression was something I’d throw together if I was not using the session players. That’s why I say a bit of theory and playing experience helps greatly with these tools. Cheers 😀

@@MTTC and the people who answer the phones at Apple are clueless too! 😖
