LG C9 has a limitation regarding HDMI-eARC pass-through, it seems that LG did not enable the AudioEDID for LPCM 8 channels, just the standard LPCM 2 channels. Also, the internal media player of the C9 cannot bitstream Dolby TrueHD/lossless audio streams via eARC to a compatible receiver. LG will be introducing PCM Multi-channel support when using eARC in the 2 quarter of 2020. However dolby digital and dts pass through works over Optical/HDMI ARC Update: LG has solved this issue with their new firmware update.
I’m about to get a 65” CX and SN11YG sound bar.. I ordered a 2pk of black cutting boards on amazon. They’re 6”x12”. I’ll place those under the tv base and get near perfect clearance for the sound bar. I think they’re about $12 bucks.. They won’t even show from the front.
Hello.. do you face any issue in sound quality while watching HD Channels.. I hv a C9 bought this month, facing low sound issue on few hd channels ( star movies n HBO) on Tata sky hd.
I never used set top box with c9. Could be something to do with tata sky set top box?. Or the dolby digital sound for those HD channels. Are you on the TV speakers?
@@GTCREATIONZZ ya.. i m using internal tv speaker. Recently i changed the setting of hdmi input from Bitstream to pcm. Nw it works ok. But still I didn't understand why its nt working on Bitstream whereas others r working perfectly fine. I also changd the hdmi cables . But no luck. Thanks fr yr reply..
As long as you are on TV speakers, it won't make much of difference whether you select bitstream or pcm. Have you tried changing the sound setting in tata sky? This should be something to do witht the down mixing of multi channel content coming from those HD channels
My usages are two to three hours of DTH per day and 2 to 3 hours of RUclips per day. My concern is not about burn in but more about the dead pixels. How much frequent is the dead pixel issue in oled TVS?
I had been using c9 for more than 6 months, and couldn't find any burns. While watching dth, the service provider logo is the main issue. I am not sure after how long this could affect.

Even though the magic remote is RF based, to turn ON/OFF, you need to point towards it. Need to keep the remote controller bit high to do so. But dont worry, you will get used to it.
hello im thinking of buying the same model and i would like to make you a question. can you increase the brightness either from uncharted menu or from the tv it self? I think that the image is too dark and i have a plasma tv! By the way uncharted is my favorite game!
Hi actually the screen brightness is high, but for recording purpose, I had to bring it low. You can adjust the brightness, OLED light in the tv settings. The brightness can also be adjusted in the game menu. This game can be played with HDR which means you can experience the peaks and lows without the picture getting blown Out.

As long as it doesn't block screen I can find my way around on and off by standing up and pointing towards IR sensor.
On day to day basis usage, we shouldn't be worried about OLED burn -in. Burn in occurs when static image is played for very very long time. The latest LG OLED line up is equipped with counter measures such as pixel refresher, screen shift, logo luminance adjustments to overcome burn -in. Famous tv reviewer RTINGS.COM have done extensive tests for 6 months and for day to day usage one shouldn't worry. And the LG's 2 year general warranty covers dead pixel/burn-in and we have the option to extend the warranty which comes with additional cost.

Yesterday I went to a local shop he offered 65 inch B9 for 175k (without any negotiation) and an extended warranty of Bajaj at rupees 25000 for 3 years and he said that it will cover burn in / dead pixel / other screen issues like vertical bands etc etc. Is it true?
