Two maids, the sisters Claire and Solange, role play about-- and plot against-- their employer. Based upon the stage play by Jean Genet. Filmed as part of the American Film Theatre's series from 1970 through 1975 which presented film adaptations which faithful to the original stage plays they were based upon. Robert Enders and Ely Landau produced 1975's The Maids; Christopher Miles directed.
