One night in July 2008 Jesus came to my room and filled me with His holy presence and spoke a Word of promise into my spirit "I will go before you and make your crooked places straight". I was rebirthed in the Spirit and my life has never been the same. He delivered me from decades of addiction, from wordly music, from wrong relationships and set me absolutely free! I felt pure and holy for the first time in my life. Truly knowing Lord Jesus is worth living for. Such a beautiful song. God bless.
Leena, you posted this so long ago! I found it today, perhaps in God's timing. Your experience is straight out of Isaiah 40:3-5. The Lord also delivered me out of many evils, for His glory. What joy to be found in Him.

Jesus Christ is our living hope... and light of the world that shines even in the darkest hours of our life.
Knowing Jesus is the greatest thing I've ever known.
In making the big move from the United States to Ecuador to retire, I reflected on this song a great deal. In a class by itself. All I once held dear - my possessions, every thing I owned and every relationship I held dear - I had to give up to be obedient to what the Lord had called my wife and I to. I had fought so hard to have those treasured possessions, and now they were headed literally to the dump. Others we gave to our church's thrift store where others could "war to own" them. . . including family heirlooms we simply couldn't take in a suitcase.
Knowing You, Jesus, Knowing You, there is no greater thing. When I am on my deathbed, the one thing - person - I want to have is my precious Jesus, the Gentle Shepherd of my soul. He is my all, He's the best, He's my joy and righteousness. I love you, Lord!
Nothing else matters from Eternity's perspective but this all surpassing gift of righteousness, which I could not earn on my own merits. That's why the gift of salvation is all surpassing. . . it surpasses every other thing.
David Cox thanks for writing this.. I wept while reading this. I'm 65 years old and the older I get the more in love with my Great God and Savior Jesus Christ I am. You words are an inspiration to many of us who know beyond a doubt that what you said is true. Nothing is greater than knowing JESUS.

You know Jesus is returning. He's coming back for the church. The question is are you ready?
Paul here is wanting the church to understand what's important. In the light of eternity what really matters.
Many people think that money matters so they base their life on acquiring as much money as possible.
Many people believe that love matters so they base their lives on fulfilling love and relationships.
Others still that education, fame or image matters. Some even beleive in causes or social justice.
And although many of these things are OK in themselves: do they really matter?
Money, love, education, image, justice non of it matters when you stand before God on judgement.
You know my children often will bicker over small insignificant things. She stole my sweet, he is wearing my socks. We often say "hey does it really matter."
Sometimes a crisis a pandemic puts into perspective what really matters.
The money, the relationship, the image, the degree does it really matter?

All that really matters on judgement day is did you accept Jesus or reject him.? Heaven or hell .Life or death. You know your soul that matters.
No Jesus or Know Jesus. Its a choice. You matter. Jesus really matters

Great song from Graham Kendrick, who also wrote "Shine, Jesus, Shine" and "The Servant King." Robin's rendition is great.
Awesome to know that! His lyrics and music are so good and Robin Mark always gives the best interpretations of worship songs. These kinds of songs are needed to be sung in churches today! Since our church is a mix group of the young and the old, I always look for classic Christian songs and incorporate it with newer worship songs in our song list and good thing I found this.
