NEW Menu at Contempo Cafe | Crazy Cookies & More at Disney's Contemporary Resort | Full Review 2023

- Contempo Cafe is the primary quick service restaurant at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Opening in 2008, Contempo Cafe has in previous years been known for its stellar desserts. Recently, the menu was revamped. Fan favorite, the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, is gone and in its place Disney added an interesting line up of assorted Brownies and Cookies. There's also a revamped Grilled Cheese w/ Tomato Soup, Assorted Rice Bowls and a Spicy Chicken Sandwich. We stopped by for our first formal meal at Contempo Cafe to check it all out and see how The Contemporary's signature quick service restaurant compares to its competitors on the monorail loop.

Those were probably the best things we had minus the Peanut Butter Brownie Bar. The desserts were definitely the highlight and Disney's Grilled Cheese and Soup game continues to impress us. Thank you and you too! 🙂

Those desserts look amazing! We always try to squeeze in a Monorail crawl to take in the deluxe resorts so we’ll definitely be picking up that brownie next time (and maybe some slaw😉) Another great video as always!

That grilled cheese looks really good. You can almost see how soft the bread in even through the camera. Mmm! 8 is a great score for the grilled cheese. Chicken sandwich looks decent but good to know it's your standard Disney chicken. Oh I definitely need to try the bowls at AKL. I agree the chicken in your bowl needs some seasoning. Nothing wrong with 3 entrees and four desserts LOL! Love it. The fruit tart is really pretty. Oh my goodness that kitchen sink cookie looks so good. I'm a huge cookie fan and they all look great. The Incredible cupcake is really cute but I don't think I would be a fan of the gelatin top either. Great review as always!! :)
The Mara bowls are SO good and flavorful. It's funny because even though we got 4 desserts, we actually forgot to get the Monorail S'mores brownie, which I was most looking forward to. I was so hype for the cookie dough cupcake but the consistency was SO weird. Thanks for watching!!
Oooh, my favorite food resort is Coronado Springs! Close second Animal Kingdom. Except for the food court, CSR has an incredible coffee bar, Rix, Toledo, and Three Bridges. All so delicious.
Coronado is such a foodie resort- Three Bridge is the absolute best!! The coffee bar is so good too, sometimes I work remotely from that resort just for that coffee LOL AKL might be our #1 though- that's where we stayed for our honeymoon- Boma, Jiko, & Sanaa are incredible- even the Mara QS is very good too- very flavorful dishes. Thanks so much for watching :)

Slaw is the law. Contempo Cafe is currently my top slaw 🙂.
I'm staying at Bay Lake in June so the menu will likely change up but thanks for the review. Every time we've eaten here it's been good enough. Not the best quick service but it works in a pinch.
It might be the same, they tend to stick around for awhile. Mara at AKL has the best QS in my opinion :)
In the very bottom right corner of the dessert case (refrigerator section) I think I spy my favorite flourless chocolate torte??? I really really hope they didn't get rid of that dessert, it is SO GOOD!!
Is it the same Chocolate Torte they have at the resort restaurants? I may neeed to go back to find it. We LOVE that dessert. They better not have gotten rid of it 😆.
@@ThemeParkFoodies I'm not sure actually! We always got it here and it's usually served with a raspberry. It is so rich and delicious and we love it because it's not overly sweet. I watched the video again and they do still have one small row of them on the bottom, but my family member went the other day and they didn't have any so hopefully they were just sold out?? As you can see, I am very concerned about this lol!

Love to see Vegan and gluten free items as I’m not vegan but can’t do eggs/dairy or gluten 😓 hopefully they’ll have the peanut butter brownies when we are there next spring. Great video as usual, love it when you both review the same food as it’s fun to hear the differences of opinion.

Great video! I’m a stickler for wrinkles. Bruh, that’s a nice shirt, you’re on camera, ya girl lookin good… and it looks like you slept in your shirt! Nah, but Disney quick services are what we typically avoid now because most of the food is just overpriced “meh” at best. Thanks for showing us some stuff most of the vloggers aren’t!
Idk man, I went after working all day and it was 100 degrees out. When I go to California Grill I steam my shirts. Felt like this was a less formal affair. Happy to provide the content though.

I had the Chicago Italian sub recently. Don't get it. It was not as good as it looked. It looked good but the meat was bland just like your chicken bowl. No flavor. My daughter got the same grilled cheese and basil tomato soup and it was good. I tried her soup and I would get that. Stay away from the Italian sub.
