    To the point and concise EXELENT video. No BS of unnecessary information. Thank you. My only complaint is I wish the person taking the video would have turned the phone 90 degrees so it didn't look like a beginner was filming. Aspect ratio issue is the ONLY problem in my opinion. Still a like given.

      @@bigguy237 Thank you for reaching out about this! Believe it or not, you will have a wiring issue at one of two points based on your description: Either the pigtail (short cord) going into the handle has burnt (remove the screws and unplug from handle to check electrical connection point) or it will be located down in the control board/foot motor area. Access this area of the machine (I also have a video for that) and see where the wiring problem lies. Ray, There is a microswitch for the brush but 95% of the time we find it is either the foot motor or the PCB. If you will follow this video and open up the compartment, look at both items. If you see rust or orange dust or burn spots on the PCB, then you know the problem is not the microswitch. That is not an available replacement part. Hence the reason he told you to take them off of the old motor so that you can put them on the new motor. I am sorry, but unless there is one lying around by some chance, it is not a part that is available.

    when i plug in my big green machine and turn it on, it turns on for a split second and then shuts off (causes a short circuit to the receptacle). can you please let me know, if replacing the circuit board will fix it?

    • @bissellcommercialcustomers4100
      @bissellcommercialcustomers4100  3 года назад

      Nach0ooLibre, I feel pretty certain in my response of, no this will not help the scenario you have described. What you have described sounds more like a wiring issue. You will need to have the wiring validated for continuity from the pigtail cord located on the side of the handle assembly all the way down to the vacuum motor.

    • @bissellcommercialcustomers4100

      Bobby, you remove the circuit board first and look for any corrosion or burn spots. If none visible, start with the foot motor first.-ASE

  • @ejb992
    @ejb992 Год назад

    Brush motor kicks on for about 5 sec then cuts out. Put handle back up and pull back down and it repeats above. Motor or circuit board🤔?

    • @lanced3482
      @lanced3482 Год назад

      Mine is doing this too. I found that 120v DC is no longer going to the motor when the motor turns off so I suspect it's a board issue. I ordered a board but it's not here yet.

    When I turn mine on I hear a noise like something rattling it only happens when I turn it on any ideas? My flow indicator leaks a little bit

    • @bissellcommercialcustomers4100
      @bissellcommercialcustomers4100  2 года назад

      Arika, I need to clarify your statement if you will let me: I believe you are indicating that before anything else, when you have just turned the machine on is when you hear the rattle. Not after turning it on and then laying the handle back for use. If this is correct, there may be something inside of the main suction motor housing. If it is heard when you lean the handle back, that will be either the brush carriage rattling or the foot motor. Feel free to call us for further details at 800-242-1378 ext 2180-Amanda S.

    Hi there, I have a US made BGM that I use a step down transformer (1500) to run in New Zealand. Recently, when the machine turns on it is fine. Once I engage the shampoo function it shorts the mains power switch in my wall power box. I have tried this in two properties with the same result. I have changed out the transformer with the same result. How can I diagnose the cause of this on my BGM? Can I buy a NZ motor to run the machine, even though the socket is a continental US socket?

    • @bissellcommercialcustomers4100
      @bissellcommercialcustomers4100  Год назад +1

      @asiatravel2010-I believe that you are going to need to check your electrical connections points first. This normally happens in the US machines when there is a wiring connection that has gone bad (wiring harness to the PCB or the handle cord/pigtail cord). I have videos to get you into the control board/PCB area to enable you to check those electrical points. Call us at 800-242-1378, ext. 2180 if you require further direction!-Amanda

      @bissellcommercialcustomers4100  Месяц назад +1

      @unyotv1107 - If the brush is not turning when the handle is leaned back for use, you will need to go through the video, get into the foot/brush motor compartment, and inspect the motor and control board for rust or burn marks. If you see either of these two things, you will have to at least replace the effected part(s). If you need to, you can call us at 800-242-1378, ext. 2180, and we will email you over a parts list with schematic, or connect you with a Sales Rep if you need to purchase the parts.-Amanda S.
