Number 59 really should have the entire play shown, still one of the most incredible goals scored in the PL era. Ramsey was that rare thing: a British player with incredible technique. All those flicks and instant passes, dancing around keepers in one-on-ones, always looking for the threaded pass instead of the Hollywood Gerrard blaster; if his name was Ramzinho it wouldn't have been unusual, but a Welsh player, of all things.
Let's be honest. He had a 6 month purple patch and the rest was very stop-start due to being riddled with injuries. With the benefit of hindsight, Emery withdrawing that 300k a week contract was a masterstroke as he did absolutely nothing of note when he left Arsenal and saved Arsenal a fortune. I remember Arsenal fans being furious at the time, but Emery was proven right.
Agreed. If there's one thing Arsenal have gotten right more often than not over the years, it's knowing when to let go of players. From cashing in on Anelka and Overmars to releasing Vieira, Pires and Ljungberg, to letting Ramsey, Song, Hleb, Wilshere, Ozil, Koscielny and Sanchez go, Arsenal have had a knack of giving up players at the right time. They also extracted maximum use out of players like Bergkamp, Gilberto and Rosicky. Obviously they're not perfect; no one could be, but with few exceptions (Cole, Giroud, Fabregas, van Persie, Henry, Clichy) most players did not do better after leaving Arsenal, and most of those who did wanted to leave against the club's will anyway.
That 13/14 season from Ramsey was special man
This guy has a great sense of positioning.. Those late runs into the box and creative touches were magical..

Ridiculous numbers from a number 8 , regardless the nimber of games played
And he was out for years with that broken leg
Even with games played it’s impressive. 1 every 6 games is fantastic for a midfielder.
@@prometheustv6558 it is 1 in 3/4 since 2013/14

Can make all goal Sergio aguero?
Arsenal had the same team for years no wonder no leauge 😮
Wenger's biggest flaw was his unwavering loyalty to a lot of players he had... unfortunately to be a winner you have to be ruthless
