  • THIS WAS FUN! Driving the Rubicon Ridge Jeep Badge of Honor Trail at the Hot Springs Off Road Park (ORV Park) in Arkansas. This video will show the entire trail (fast forwarding in sections). You can forward to the start of the trail (time stamp 4:53 mark) but we take you from the entrance, to the Park Store and along the Park Roads that bring you to the head of the trail. Jeep Girl (Dianne) is driving the entire trail in a Jeep Gladiator. The length of the Jeep Gladiator provides an additional challenge with tight turns. We took our time as we made videos of the areas with the most challenges. Each bypass was highlighted and we drove the direct challenges of the trail versus the bypass.
Trail ratings are a general rating for the average condition of the trail. Weather conditions, previous activity on the trail could alter the trail rating. For example - rain can have additional affect on surface tension and gripping. This could increase the trail rating from a 3 to a 4 or even higher. Please check in with the Park Store for any changes and current conditions.
We chose to air down the tires to a target of 12 PSI. Weather conditions affect this as well. A 12 PSI in approximately 70-75 degree weather will could change to a 10 PSI overnight with temperatures dropping in the mid 40's. Airing down is captured in this video. Air Stations are pointed out at the end of the video.
This trail can be driven in normal conditions with a stock Jeep but it is recommended bypass routes are taken on the higher level challenges. I would recommend a minimum of a 33" tires. We drove this trail with a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with a 3.5" lift, 38" Nitto Grappler Tires and 5:13 Gearing in the differentials. Check with the Park Store directly for their feedback.

How do you like the 5.13’s? I plan on upgrading from 4.10’s soon but can’t decide between 4.88 or 5.13.

Thank you for watching. Do you have a Gladiator? What size tires are you running on them? If you go to 37's or 38's on the Gladiator I definitely recommend 5:13's over 4:88's. I am running 4:88's with 37's on a Jeep Wrangler JK. But for the Gladiator, I recommend and also you should find many who suggest the 5:13's over the 4:88's on a Gladiator. On a Gladiator - For 35's go 4:88's. 37's - 38's I would go 5:13's. 40" - Go 5:38's. Again this is my opinion. If you look up a site called Exodus4x4.com for Jeep Gear Ratio Charts, they also break it out by engine size and transmission type.

I see you did 3 BOH trails. Did you do all 3 on the same day ? How long did it take ?

We did all JBOH (4) trails while there including others. You can definitely do 3 on the same day. The reason times could change is when you go. If you go in a weekend and it is crowded, then a trail could take longer as groups get through certain obstacles. It took us longer as we took our time in the middle of the week to film it.
