I remember as a child I was admitted to the hospital and my parents couldn’t stay with me because of work, etc. I felt so lonely and sad. However, I always turned to the Golden girls to comfort me. It is such a warm and fuzzy, feel-good show. The ladies were like my grandmothers or older aunts. I felt so much better because of this show
She is such an icon and entertainer, her legacy lives on in film.

All you folks on the Today Show and other such programs really should feel proper awe when you think about the TV Pioneer that she was. At one point she was doing over 5 HOURS of LIVE TV 6 days a week ! on the west coast at the very dawn of television, setting the groundwork for every show like the Today Show (newsy, entertainment, interviews) including all the chat/talk and variety shows that followed. As well as self producing her own first sitcom. Amazing Lady.

If anyone sees this, can someone please do a tribute video to Betty White using Jimmy Durante’s song “I’ll be seeing you”? I was so heartbroken to hear of her passing as she was just shy of a few weeks before her 100th birthday.

RIP Betty. St Olaf is a small college in a little, 2 college, MN town. A writer of the Golden Girls went to Carlton College and thought St Olaf was full of hicks. God bless Betty White for coming to talk to us at Olaf, and for that Carl who connected her sweet soul to us.

Who doesn't everbody love Betty White? Betty was a Unitarian, believing that we should, "affirm unconditional, universal love as a foundation and grounding for our actions in the world." Unitarians believe in God, but reject the idea of eternal punishment. My mother, who was likewise Unitarian, reminds me of Betty White (or is it the other way around?). Both women believed that people who do evil things become their own punishment.
Yet, does that really work? For example, I am not sure why, but I am still absolutely devastated over the death of young girl, Polly Klaas, some 30 years ago - yet, I have only seen her picture. She was kidnapped out her own bedroom, brutally mistreated, then murdered. The killer, Richard Allen Davis, laughed at her trial, at the suffering of her dear, poor parents - heart-breaking is not the word! Yet, should such great evil go unpunished? Is that true justice?
It is written that, one day soon, Jesus Christ will judge the world in righteousness. Just as my anger has been greatly kindled by Davis, so God's anger is good and right; all injustice will be punished. For those who disagree, do you believe the Richard Allen Davis should not be punished? For example, should he have life in a paradise resort? Such thinking is almost as vile as his dispicable act!
Yet, God will not just punish those who destroy families, but it is written that all liars will have their place in the lake of fire. Heaven is totally just; we are not. Jesus Christ died on a cross as punishment for the sins of the world - even for sweet, charming ladies like Betty! I hope that she put her trust in Christ, that she was made new - born again - by the blood Christ! I hope that everyone will!
Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
