Mummy Dust on the album is a diet version of Mummy Dust live. He is hissing more on the album than the growling he does when performing it live. Side note: this took TWO WEEKS to hit my RUclips recommendations while doing a search for Ghost reactions.
Oh, interesting... ill give the live version a look. Yeah... my videos aren't really getting many views, so i'm guessing youtube are just not suggesting them to people anymore...
He's a musical genius and uses interesting lyrics. Impera album has all bangers...Spillways, Call me Little Sunshine, Griftwood, Respite on the Spitalfields
Just found your reaction! Yes, it's about greed. Mummy Dust = money. 'In God You Trust' reflects what's written on a US dollar - 'In God We Trust'. It's ironic... He often satirises political and religious corruption. It never ceases to amaze me that Tobias, who's not a native English speaker (he's Swedish, of course), writes such deep, multi-layered lyrics with what is obviously a wide knowledge of theology and philosophy. Not necessarily this track, which is reasonably straightforward in meaning, but many others. I often find myself Googling more in an academic way to work out the hidden meanings of songs. Then he presents the whole thing in a humorous way. And writes the music. Quite an act.
I love Ghost.. he is a great singer. I have all their Cd's 👍🙂👍
