I checked out your channel and subbed! Love what you’re doin’ with the Ariel Rider custom build. It looks like the Cadillac of the ebike world. I’d let you take a Blade for a rip but I can tell by the weather in your vids that you don’t live within 2000 miles of me😜. Keep up the good work.
Thinking of getting either the Blade 2 or the Liberty bike from Rize. Despite the awesomeness that the Blade 2 looks like, I'm still leaning towards pulling the trigger on the Liberty. Do you or anyone you know own or has ridden the Liberty. Any thoughts on it?
Unfortunately no, I don’t know anyone who has ridden one. I believe it is similar to the Blade 2 but more for just staying on the roads. Blade 2 can handle some pretty gnarly off-roading conditions as well as just be a street cruiser.
@@megadavesworld4238 ok thanks. Yeah I’m commuting every day with my truck and the gas is killing me. Figured I’d get a commuter ebike to go to work in the spring, summer and fall. I love the style of the Liberty bike and think it would be perfect albeit on the expensive side for who I will be using it.
@@brisser1 The Liberty would be a great commuter. The people on Facebook “Rize Bikes Owners Group” really like them. One guy uses his for commuting about 60 km to work and back everyday and he loves it.
@@megadavesworld4238 I did more research and had concerns as a bigger guy that with the seat not being adjustable it might not be a good fit. So I did more looking around and pulled the trigger today on a Rize X. Surprised though that their are not many 3rd party reviews for this bike with nothing current. So hopefully the quality and reliability are good over time. .
Yeah man I love my blade 2! My only complaint would be the top speed. I’d like to see a top speed of 60kph. Other then that the bike is great! It looks great too!!
What are your thoughts on ride comfort between the blade and blade 2? I'm looking to buy one but I am torn between the hard tail and full suspension. Do the wider tires offset the lack of rear suspension on the Blade?
They have very different feels to them. The OG seat is not great and it can be hard n your back if you prefer to ride sitting up more. The Blade 2 suspension works a lot better than a hard tail but it comes stock a little stiff. I haven’t tried adjusting them but it looks like you can take some tension out of the springs, or possibly find some aftermarket. I do notice a huge difference in the suspension for sure, and the front forks are actually pretty good. A lot smoother ride.
Dave Question: do you know if the motor for the Blade2 has metal gears or nylon?? I was trying to see if it was the same motor that the aerial Rider 52 volt X-class uses. Thanks
Absolutely never! When riding on bike paths I keep a respectful speed and I’m also respectful when riding through traffic. If I ever did get pulled over, I have a fancy little sticker that says the bike is rated at 500 watts, 32km/h max. The key is to not ride like a lunatic when around other people and obey (all other😁) local laws.
Sick ride Dave! Those Rize bikes are Dope! Dude!Looking forward to your next video!
Nothing is better than riding with a friend ! 😎😎😎😎😎
Nice Vid. Good to see the Blade 2 in Action. 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
These Rize Blades looke freaking nice - would love to see one in person and give it a spin.

have a rad runner but love these rize blade 2 bikes so I got ordered mine the other day. Cant wait until it comes
How'd you pick the Rize Blade 2? What were your other considerations for bikes? Curious how you made the decision to buy this particular one.
You took off the splash guards?
Yup! Only put them on if it’s slushy outside.
@@megadavesworld4238 still waiting on my blade 2 but looks like I have to remove the splash guards so it can fit on my 1up bike rack.

Awesome video. Both bikes are 1000w?
Yep, both are the 1000 watts.

Nylon for sure! Also, I checked my OG nylon gears not too long ago at 3000km and they are in perfect shape.
@@megadavesworld4238 Ok. Thanks. Dave. That's very helpful.

Where's your e-bike convoy, bro?
Slooooooowly building one. I’m up to two! 🥲
