I drove for Air Products (Texas) for 5 years and I loved working for them good benefits and can’t complain of the salary I was making the only reason I left was I did not have any family time, I worked local but I worked every holiday and every weekend and nights Due to seniority system they have. Your like a local ::OTR:: driver. If they had like a rotating weekend and holiday I would “ probably” still be there. No regrets leaving but good company.
" local ::OTR:: driver" Could not have said it better myself. When I worked there my hours were about 14-16 per day. I stopped OTR so I could see my family everyday. Yeah, the pay and bennies are good, but at what price?
Hey Air Products keep on trucking. My grandfather was Manager at trexlertown for air products and retired in 1988. His name was Joseph Lella JR. Your company is the best chemical plant. And keep up the great work. Drivers keep on trucking and employers keep doing what your doing. May god bless you and keep you safe.
Joe - Thanks for the kind words - I wish I knew your father - he sounds like he was a great guy. Feel free to explore our site when you can - www.airproducts.com
nice .. I also like the video .. I work in air products in malaysia .. it is a very dangerous job .. my hand hit the co2 gas and experienced severe burns .. but I like the work .. >>air Products workers in malaysia
You believe a 3:31 minute video can tell how it Is to work in air products. I dont think so. 12 hrs tristate area. 250 to 300 hrs a day. Own boss working outside. ... great on safety... safety meetings... using a device that records everything. Multiple customers. 60 hrs a week. That's all everyone got from the video. Not much huh
@@Phylosophy510 I worked for them in CA. Could not stand the long days. Many times it was 14-16 hours. Never saw my family. Had to quit. My son was only young once. You think 12+++ hours 5 or 6 days a week is ok to start, but then the reality sinks in. It's not worth it. Especially in CA where you're paid per mile and most of the time you're stuck in snail crawl traffic for hours. I loved the people I worked with, the trucks, and the overall company, but the amount of hours was way too much.
