- We’re are finally setting off on our next road trip after 6 weeks in one spot. But before we can begin our Welsh adventure we’ve got to navigate England and there’s a reason England has such a bad reputation amongst the vanlife community. In 36 hours were asked to move 3 times! One was just for parking on a road near a house as we visited family for dinner!!!!! So what do you guys think?! Why is England so unwelcoming to vanlifers?
We find our happy spot around The Downs in Bristol and manage to have a great day out visiting Bristol museum, so much fun in fact that we run out of time to do anything else in this vibrant city.
It ends on a good note but this cold reception is making me anxious for the rest of this vanlife adventure.

So glad to be leaving work for a while
What’s your view on parking up in England? Why does it upset people so much more than other countries?!
I'm sorry to say but it has a lot to do with the traveling community, let one stay and 20 more make camp it's sad to say but true
I don’t see how that can be true. We’ve had much warmer welcomes in Scotland and Wales and there has been members of the travelling community there too. I know some people have bad experiences but we’ve been on plenty of sites with people in the community and we’ve not had any trouble, if anything we’ve had more trouble with people outside the community having very wild weekends and not considering other people on the site. There seems to be a reflex reaction to blame travellers but I’m not buying it.
