Our vanlife adventure!
Through rain or shine we’re making the most of our last days in Wales.
We’re on our final week in Wales and it’s action packed!
Starting off with a stop we’ve been excited for from day one. Ffestiniog Railway!! The sun is shining and Snowdonia National Park is beautiful and, thankfully, we can fit in the car park!
Then we’re heading to Dinorwig quarry but our luck with the weather has well and truly run out and the teeny tiny Welsh roads are causing Perri’s blood pressure to rise on route. After a soggy walk, there’s nothing better than a hot chocolate, a onesie and a movie.
Our final stop on our Welsh road trip is in the lovely town of Conwy, only problem is we’re too tired to move quickly and everything starts shutting by 3! So we have to head in for a seco...

This weeks video takes us to Portmeirion in Wales. I visited when I was young and loved it so when I found out that they now have motorhome parking we had to include it on our vanlife Wales road trip. Now it may cost £85 for one night but for that you get a fully serviced, secure pitch,2 days entrance to the town, (considering this costs £50 for a family of 4 for one day entrance it’s basically...

We’re attempting to carry on our way around Wales when we wake up to an old problem. After two in Scotland, one in Holland, we’ve got yet another flat tyre and we’re in a tiny town in South West Wales! 🤦♀️😬 Luckily for us, we strike it lucky and a local tyre place comes to our rescue. After a quick stop at Penllegare Valley Woods to get our waterfall fix we’re heading over to the absolutely stunning Gower Peninsula on the south coast of Wales. We stay at the fantastic Gower Heritage centre which is close enough for us to explore the stunning Three Cliffs Bay and then take a day to hang out the Heritage centre where we get lost through history (quite literally!) Hope you managed to get settled, we didn't stay at the railway, too many window watchers so we parked down by the beach in a lay-by. Got the inflatable bed and mattress topper out and it's really comfortable. It's a good job we're tiny, need to be in this Mini. Really nice meeting you, and all the best on your travels Dan and Gill.

I'm sorry to say but it has a lot to do with the traveling community,let one stay and 20 more make camp it's sad to say but true
I don’t see how that can be true. We’ve had much warmer welcomes in Scotland and Wales and there has been members of the travelling community there too. I know some people have bad experiences but we’ve been on plenty of sites with people in the community and we’ve not had any trouble, if anything we’ve had more trouble with people outside the community having very wild weekends and not considering other people on the site. There seems to be a reflex reaction to blame travellers but I’m not buying it.
So glad to be leaving work for a while
