Seeing Death moths and smilers was a breath of fresh air. It seems a lot of fan videos like to use the wire like stick figure thing as an entity, sure it's scary, but there's much MUCH more than just that in the Backrooms
@@PAVLOS2000 there are different interpretations and versions of the Backrooms. Some have levels and entities, some don’t. There is no “supposed” in the Backrooms, everyone has their own take on them.
@@evagarcia865 yeah, if anything, there was actually supposed to be entities in the backrooms, as in the original post it says "god save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you" but i still think it's an interesting for it not to have entities, and the paranoia sets in
Just to clarify: Kane doesn’t take inspiration from the wikis, which is where “levels” come from. He and his friends have said on his discord that he has no knowledge of “sixarms” or “levels” or the “crimson forest.” He only take inspiration from the original 4chan post and maybe recreates a couple of liminal space photos like the living room and hotel photo.
Which is funny since levels came from the original. There was originally more than 1 its just that the yellow room became the most infamous when it comes to the back rooms
Hey Ryan! If you wanna know more about the Backrooms and the other stuff like the Crimson Forest (which is technically a different space) I would strongly suggest the Liminal Archives! It's a whole community made website that has a load of lore to it! (I would also recommend checking out Level Cement while your there, it's not cannon but it's a pretty funny joke page)
Definitely; the liminal archives has way better lore and coordination within itself; it’s definitely not as chaotic as the main backrooms wiki but expands the lore significantly in a more streamlined way
Overview of things you may not have known: 10:12 That's a Deathmoth right there 11:10 The Courtyard of Windows (A level completely copying a real-life structure) 11:37 He enters the poolrooms 14:24 This is called the Bone Thief The Level ! footage shows a single entity, when usually there'd be a horde chasing you. Oh well, it's still an amazingly pieced together video. 17:44 Definitely not a Partygoer. Looks and sounds amazing, though!
It is, you need to run 6 miles while a huge horde of entities is chasing you. Worst part is that you can be randomly be teleported into this level at any random time. But if you beat the level you get transported into a safe level (like level 11) and it’s impossible for you to randomly get teleported into the level again.
Level !: "Run For Your Life!" Level ! is one of the most dangerous oddball levels in the Backrooms and one of the most entity-infested levels. This level is also one of levels where you're not allowed to stay due to the amounts of entities that may chase you.
More info: Level ! Is approximately 10km long (6 miles) which forces whoever is there to run that far while being chased by the entities with only a few energy bars
Entities: 7:29 Smiler 10:12 Death Moth (most likely a female) 10:42 Clump(?) 11:14 Windows 12:05 I don’t know what this is 13:55 The Disease(?) 14:24 Skin-Stealer/Skin-Giver 14:42 Windows (again) 16:21 This is inaccurate, instead of THAT chasing you it should be a hoard of random entities, according to the wikidot 17:45 Skin-Stealer/Skin-Giver (again) Let me know anyones I missed!
@@Yu-Gi-Oh36508 the fans did their thing. They didn’t ruin it they just made it into a way you didn’t like it. Some levels actually follow the liminalility of the Og Backrooms so at least we got that

i love when Ryan reacts to this kind of stuff because he is actually reading into it and getting involved with the interesting (and spooky) lore, after watching this it leaves me intreaged about the rest of the backrooms, keep it up Ryan!
Level ! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE! It scares me, once you enter the level, you will see flashing red lights. If you turn back you will see horde of enties, but.. do NOT TURN BACK WHEN YOU ARE RUNNING. Here are the enties: skinstealers, hounds, facelings, and more that you don’t know about.
It's so fun to watch my favourite creators getting into the backrooms, I've been fixated on them since probably 2020 and it's like being able to look into them with a friend :D
I loved this, finally the other levels are being adressed too, bc Level 0( the most known ), is just the entrance point to the backrooms and just a tiny bit of the real deal
FunFact, Level 4 Is Class 1, which means, Safe & Secure & a minimal Entity count that’s Why we saw the smile face, in fact The Smile entity is called the smiler.
While the backrooms might not have any kind of jumpscare factors, the creepy atmosphere makes you realise that something is wrong. Even in places with no entities, you still feel a sense of unease
I jumped at that bloody smiley fce on the supposed "safest" floor 🤣 Yeah I guess some areas are intended to have a creepier atmosphere, others might have more direct scares if there are entities that reside there.
For catching up with the backrooms I recommend broogli’s chanel, he covers a lot of the levels ( how to get in and out, some tips on how not to die, and in order) and most of the entities
Yeah I suggest Mr Ferrante because he makes videos on 4 different backrooms wikis , one of which being his own, in fact he was the very first youtuber to cover backrooms levels, so check his channel out.
I love how more and more people now are getting into the backrooms. It hurts to see them get things wrong but its rewarding when new people start to get it.
Yeah, the other levels are so much more interesting than Level 0. But I do feel like Ryan should mainly focus on the wikidot version of the wikipedias, since it seems to contain the most information.
@@ampa-3612 the wikidot is good until you get past like the first 100 levels and then it just becomes "heheh partygoers hehe go through that door for a party haha happy birthday haha partygoers"
Actually almond water is to treat ailments, including neutralizing the effects of hostile entities. It also can help maintain one's health. An example of the usage of Almond Water is helping with the symptoms of the "disease". It can also be used to maintain one's focus, especially when facing entities.
This would be a fire series of Ryan watching back room vids and looking up information on the wiki. It would be lit to learn more about the backrooms and the different levels and what not.
Ryan, The Backrooms levels aren't physically stacked one on top of each other. You're familiar with the term liminal space but you should also check out the term non-euclidean. The Backrooms are non-euclidean liminal spaces. So each "Level" is basically a separate reality / dimension from the previous one, with various inter-connected portals (doors, vents, cracks, etc) that can be used to travel from one dimension (level) to another. You seemed pretty confused seeing blue sky in Level 11 so I thought I would point it out. The Backrooms don't behave consistent with the laws of reality!
8:10 That is a smiler, smilers can only exist in complete darkness, and are found on almost every level, they die in the light, and will destroy any light sources.
I check why you need water in the backrooms here's what I found on the wiki: Almond Water has been shown to treat ailments, including neutralizing the effects of hostile entities. It also can help maintain one's health
I always love watching these reaction vids, because Ryan isn't like other youtubers, and he actually tries to understand some of the lore. Keep up the work man, you've made my childhood great
The concept of the backrooms never ceases to amaze me with how far it keeps on going and how many possibilities it can unlock and still has more potential to do so! also love your videos on the backrooms stuff ryan they're always a blast to have
You might be done with Rec Room, but there is a game called “Backrooms-Backstage-of-Reality” on Rec Room and it has like Levels 0-21 and bonus rooms. The story is based on Backrooms lore so it would be cool to see a video on that!
I would love to see you reacting to maybe some 'Mr. Backrooms' videos! They show images of levels with more detailed explanations of them, and I totally spent hours binge watching them before :D
7:34 Those are smilers They only stay in dark areas and you can avoid them by staying away from dark areas, if you see a smiley face staring at you, you need to start a staring contest until you escape the area Then you should probably still hide just in case Also almond water is one of the most important things in the backrooms They help keep you sane They help keep you hydrated They can tame or repell some entities And they can be traded for other things from other groups like BTNG or MEG
7:33 : that entity is commonly known as the smiler. it is very aggressive and is attracted to light. On the contrary, the frowners are the opposite of smilers, which are much more less aggressive than smilers. The same thing applies to partygoers. Partygoers are found in level fun and are aggressive. what's more interesting is that they were once humans, then wanderers were captured by a partygoer and they were turned into partygoers or, a cake. On the contrary, PARTY POOPERS are much more friendly and the even help you try to escape the backrooms. Unfortunately, they have all been exterminated by the partygoers due to the "FUN WARS"(maybe some are still alive but very few of them. After death, They go to level 3999(or i think its another level), the ACTUAL exit to the backrooms(its just one of the exits out of the backrooms)). Same thing applies to frowners likewise, exterminated by the smilers. One other friendly entity is called "Aiden" he has a head of a CCTV and helps you to escape the backrooms.
I like to imagine when Ryan finally finds the youtube backrooms community, and those videos that explain everything with easy simplicities. How much Ryan would learn will be more than what I learn in College
Fun fact after leaving level run for your life it will send you to a safe level so as showed at 16:41 being sent to level Fun isn't possible via the wiki ;3
If I had the chance I would go to the backrooms, even if my life would be at risk, it would be amazing to me to experience the scenarios in each level.
The forest in this part 0:38 was level 14 also known as "Paradise" and 0:43 is "the shady grey" level 3 in it to be specific. The forest could be the Crimson forest but there is no fog.
As much as I like the idea of the backrooms and want more lore I think the fully fleshed out and massive amount of known rooms and entities takes away from it.
@@Necrowolf81 they both look realistic and frag 2 did more levels not just the plain level 0 which got boring but I see your point but I dont think they would be bad without the monsters
@@reistcipher8484 I 100% agree with this, im a huge sucker for that kind of atmosphere as well so the game has been on my mind for several days straight lol
The smiley face in level 4 was a Smiler. They only appear in complete darkness and are afraid of light sources, disappearing if they come in contact with them.
YESS I have been hyperfixated on the backrooms for a few months but I got introduced to it YEARS ago when there was barely any content on it on youtube. Im so happy more people are discovering the various levels and lore to the backrooms! Its so much more than level 0 !!!
Funny that you mention the moths draining bodily fluids, there are moths in real life that drink blood! Obviously they're much, much smaller, and much less dangerous. They're of course called vampire moths, they're super neat.
The Frontrooms are considered the major counterpart to the Backroomis. They are also the easiest and most practical entrance point to the Backrooms. The Frontrooms are reasonably large, having approximately 150 [quillion square kilometers of habitable land, and 530 million square kilometers including water and other substances. it is divided by 4 or 7 major portions of land-depending on your concept of a continent- and thousands of minor parts. The atmosphere, temperature, and other conditions seem to be very sate for exploring and setting sedentary behavior. The dimension seems to be pretty old, as a lot of buildings (old and new) were constructed and destroyed there. Some theories even say that human life existed in the territory thousands of years ago the new land has a natural satellite that orbits around it Residents of the Frontrooms named it the Moon the planet also seems to be rotating around a considerabily massive star denominated "Sun" The temperature is assumed to be freezing on the poles and extremely hot at the center causing a big part of the population to live in the middle of the two sections for a good batare It is implied that the Frontrooms has a lot of depressions and elevations. Some elevations even contain parts of the content present in the center of the planet. magma. The material is very hot, and it is advised not to approach it, not even with proper equipment, unless for research purposes. Theories claim that there are materials that are hotter than magma. but it's deeper into the center of the globe,
Ryan, people in the backrooms call our reality 'the frontrooms' since it is, in a sense, the frontrooms. Also almond water is one of the few drinkable items, these items are: Almond water, cashew water, liquid pain, and neon water. Almond water is also the ONLY known cure for liquid pain, which has to been drank within the time before the 5th effect of liquid pain, which fractures in the skull.
All creatures in level 11 are under whats known as the "level 11 effect" which causes facelings to act like normal people and hounds to act like regular dogs and be completely docile making it a safe place in the backrooms where thousands people live
fact because he didn't read the rest of the Level 11 bit: Level 11 actually has an effect called the "Level 11 effect" that makes everything friendly. so if you can overcome your fears of faceless people (Miitopia lmao), you can enter the metro and speak with them, if they can speak.
11:24 looks like a escape route from that beaming light As below u go the only way out might be as below so above metaphor thats if u do see that. Normally a beaming light on the backrooms are seem to be a safe zone or somewhere less where u might expect harmful entities or slow ones at that point.
7:34 That my friend is whats known as a smiler one of the most common backrooms entitys and they attack when your in the dark. 10:12 And that is a Death Moth another one of the more common backroom entitys and the MALE ones can be tamed with almond water.
Yes it makes perfect sense! New exploration the explorer noclips into the first level, habitable zone. They figure out how to noclip through levels and they try to find as much levels as possible
So far, there are three, maybe four entities I know of, the Faceling, which are normal human looking creatures, of which the children will maliciously attack you, but the adults will just mind their own business. You'll find them almost everywhere, in some cases even in level 0(The yellow wallpaper room we all know of). The next one is the Husk(I think it's the name), and it's where a human stuck in the backrooms start to starve and/or lose their sanity, that their body decomposes and turn into reddish monsters. There's also humanoid entities that run on all fours that are also pretty common, so watch out for those, and for some reason, there is a parrot that makes people that it touches love him. Like, Glitchtrap-cult style(sorry, forgot this isn't Dawko). There's also the Smilers, who originate from level Fun :), who you do not be around with. Across the backrooms, most prominently in Level 1, after noclipping through 0, you can find randomly spawning crates that contain random stuff like tools, scraps, and most importantly, Almond Water. These drinks replenish both your thirst, hunger, and sanity so it's a must have if you don't wanna end up turning into a red meatball zombie
According to the backrooms wiki, level ! (Run for your life) is a very, very long hallway in which many entities from various levels will chase you constantly until you reach the end. The hallway also contains multiple obstacles and doors. The doors to the left and right are all locked and the door at the end leads to a new level. You may also find almond water and various other resources there The arcade (if it’s the one I’m thinking of) also contains an exit back to the real world, so there’s that
8-bitryan: if you wonder why there is almond water in level 94, almond water and other almond products are very useful in the backrooms. almond products can heal injuries and probably can be used on the entities and/or use it on yourself to protect you from the entities.

There's actually an infinite ammount of levels, these are just the main ones.
Seeing Death moths and smilers was a breath of fresh air. It seems a lot of fan videos like to use the wire like stick figure thing as an entity, sure it's scary, but there's much MUCH more than just that in the Backrooms
There is supposed to be nothing in the backrooms but ok
I think that’s way better. His lore in my opinion is a way better world than the billion levels each with their own monster and stuff.
Which is funny since levels came from the original. There was originally more than 1 its just that the yellow room became the most infamous when it comes to the back rooms
@@irvs5922 his is better in terms of the mystery. The lore for the backrooms id very deep and expansive
@@shadowx8145 no, the original 4chan post never mentioned levels. It was the wikis that created levels.
@@0nshore the one with the picture of that room?
𝓝𝓸𝓲𝓬𝓮
I'd actually recommend checking out the wikidot instead
I prefer the wikidot for the backrooms honestly but yeah the Liminal Archives are pretty good.
@Samuel Rodrigues The wikidot definitely has more variety, while Liminal Archives is more cold and scientific
Definitely; the liminal archives has way better lore and coordination within itself; it’s definitely not as chaotic as the main backrooms wiki but expands the lore significantly in a more streamlined way
Overview of things you may not have known:
10:12 That's a Deathmoth right there
11:10 The Courtyard of Windows (A level completely copying a real-life structure)
11:37 He enters the poolrooms
14:24 This is called the Bone Thief
The Level ! footage shows a single entity, when usually there'd be a horde chasing you. Oh well, it's still an amazingly pieced together video.
17:44 Definitely not a Partygoer. Looks and sounds amazing, though!
I heard Backrooms level run for your life is the worst
@YeaMan go away bit
@Christofer Foodist 🅥⸜⁄ omg ur so funny and Original -_- shut up
It is, you need to run 6 miles while a huge horde of entities is chasing you. Worst part is that you can be randomly be teleported into this level at any random time. But if you beat the level you get transported into a safe level (like level 11) and it’s impossible for you to randomly get teleported into the level again.
Actually the worst level of the backrooms is TH3 SH4DY GR3Y
@YeaMan if the heat that your talking about the steam of a hot pile of crap, then yes you do have heat on your page
It's not may, it's will
Actually its 20 kilometers but you just start halfway
Level 7777 is much worse
Level X:level X is a level that can only be entered by standing still in level !
Entities:
7:29 Smiler
10:12 Death Moth (most likely a female)
10:42 Clump(?)
11:14 Windows
12:05 I don’t know what this is
13:55 The Disease(?)
14:24 Skin-Stealer/Skin-Giver
14:42 Windows (again)
16:21 This is inaccurate, instead of THAT chasing you it should be a hoard of random entities, according to the wikidot
17:45 Skin-Stealer/Skin-Giver (again)
Let me know anyones I missed!
16:21 i get that it’s inaccurate, but I love it *so* much more lol. It’s terrifying and it’s like an ever-shifting entity
14:12
Is an woodlin. I think 🤔
Ty
i dont thing that there is an skin stealer in level fun and i thing it was an modifyed partygoer to make it look more scary.
wait the windows are entities?
So glad he’s bringing in more of the original lore! I can’t wait to see Pixel’s interpretation of a smiler or hound!😈👺💀
Kane pixels only does his entities and lore
I read this as "Pixar's interpretation" and got super confused until I reread it.

i love when Ryan reacts to this kind of stuff because he is actually reading into it and getting involved with the interesting (and spooky) lore, after watching this it leaves me intreaged about the rest of the backrooms, keep it up Ryan!
EXACTLY, i've waited years for the backrooms to be a huge topic
I loved this, finally the other levels are being adressed too, bc Level 0( the most known ), is just the entrance point to the backrooms and just a tiny bit of the real deal
FunFact, Level 4 Is Class 1, which means, Safe & Secure & a minimal Entity count that’s Why we saw the smile face, in fact The Smile entity is called the smiler.
While the backrooms might not have any kind of jumpscare factors, the creepy atmosphere makes you realise that something is wrong. Even in places with no entities, you still feel a sense of unease
Speak for yourself, Smilers will jump scare you.

I love how more and more people now are getting into the backrooms. It hurts to see them get things wrong but its rewarding when new people start to get it.
I’m surprised it took Ryan so long to find out there was more than one level to the backrooms.
it was triggering me so much lol
Yeah, the other levels are so much more interesting than Level 0. But I do feel like Ryan should mainly focus on the wikidot version of the wikipedias, since it seems to contain the most information.

Those are smilers
They only stay in dark areas and you can avoid them by staying away from dark areas, if you see a smiley face staring at you, you need to start a staring contest until you escape the area
Then you should probably still hide just in case
Also almond water is one of the most important things in the backrooms
They help keep you sane
They help keep you hydrated
They can tame or repell some entities
And they can be traded for other things from other groups like BTNG or MEG

Some theories even say that human life existed in the territory thousands of years ago
the new land has a natural satellite that orbits around it Residents of the Frontrooms named it the Moon the planet also seems to be rotating around a considerabily massive star denominated "Sun" The temperature is assumed to be freezing on the poles and extremely hot at the center causing a big part of the population to live in the middle of the two sections for a good batare
It is implied that the Frontrooms has a lot of depressions and elevations.

Fun Fact: That Smiley Entity is called a Smiler and they are very common in ALMOST EVERY BACKROOMS LEVEL
The smiley face was in that monster less level because they are smilers that stalk you between levels, and kill you when the room goes dark
How do the people who make these vids make it look so real
According to the backrooms wiki, level ! (Run for your life) is a very, very long hallway in which many entities from various levels will chase you constantly until you reach the end. The hallway also contains multiple obstacles and doors. The doors to the left and right are all locked and the door at the end leads to a new level. You may also find almond water and various other resources there
The arcade (if it’s the one I’m thinking of) also contains an exit back to the real world, so there’s that
8-bitryan: if you wonder why there is almond water in level 94, almond water and other almond products are very useful in the backrooms. almond products can heal injuries and probably can be used on the entities and/or use it on yourself to protect you from the entities.
