We did our very first EVER cruise on Wonder back the end of August. We loved it! Even with the many things that happened- we left Perfect Day and within the next few hours, we were diverted due to Hurricane Idalia, later had another diversion to Grand Cayman for a medical emergency and while enroute to that, the ship had to return to an area off the Cuban coast for a man overboard. Definitely a unique first ever cruise! We loved Wonder-it was such a neat ship. We loved the solarium-and the buffet there became our go to! We did one meal in the Windjammer-and were not very impressed. We ate a couple of meals in the MDR and found their food to be okay, just wasn't worth the LONG walk to get to the MDR we were assigned to. We didn't do the unlimited dining, but did get the 2 restaurant package-choosing Chops and Giovanni's. Again, both were okay- but to be honest, our best meal was on Perfect Day at the Beach Club!
What a great (and interesting!) first cruise! I loved Perfect Day at Coco Cay, even with the weather, but would like to go back for a sunny and truly perfect beach day! Like you, I was not a Windjammer fan, but definitely loved the speciality dining. I’m curious-what will your next cruise be? Will you do Royal Caribbean again, or try a different cruise line, and if so, which ones are you interested in?
I really enjoy the Eastern route; the islands and beaches are beautiful. Wow-first Mega ship after 14 cruises! It’s quite different! I’ve done both and enjoy both.@@lauribalderrama8102
Congrats on 1000 subs! Also, can’t wait to hear more about your cruise on the Wonder. We are the opposite, Royal (& Disney cruisers) going on Carnival soon!
Thank you so much! I’ve got lots of great video content coming on Wonder! And I can’t wait to hear what you think of Carnival as a first-timer! Which ship?
Wow, I don't even have to ask which sailing you were on if you posted this right away.... Oct 1? We returned that day on the Wonder. Our Embark and DisEmbarkation was fabulous and fast. I am loyal RCL.
We had smooth sailing on the Sept 24 Wonder and amazingly unaffected by the hurricane even tho we were cruising the Eastern Carib. You should plan a trip on the Icon! We will be on the March sailing! @@CruisingWithDee
I definitely want to sail on the Icon! You are lucky to be on the March sailing! I have a prior commitment on the new Carnival Jubilee in March (I was supposed to be on their maiden voyage that was cancelled) but hope to find a cruise on Icon later in the Spring! @@cruisingal2
The prices are thru the roof. I reserved as soon as they started taking reservations. So we are in at about $4500 total for a balcony for 2. We did one of the early sailings of the Wonder and they didn't have everything for their dive and ice skate shows. However, they did perform and did a good job, but they weren't quite ready. So I give the new ships a couple of months to work out the bugs! Have a great time on whatever cruise you choose! @@CruisingWithDee

We are booked for New Years. Can't wait!!!
Wonder will be a BLAST for New Year’s! Eastern or Western Caribbean route?
@CruisingWithDee Eastern. This is our 14th cruise but our 1st on a mega ship.

I love Oasis class ships on RCCL. Going on Wonder for a back to back starting the 22nd. Hope you enjoy Royal as much as we have. 😊
I certainly did-had a fantastic time! I really want to go back on Wonder with my grandchildren. Such a great cruise ship for a family cruise!
You are lucky to do a back-to-back. One week is really not enough to enjoy all the ship has to offer!
Congratulations on 1000!
Thank you so much!
