I was showing my wife the insane detail you put into that; an awesome job. She said "But there's nobody flying it!". Good point I thought - it needs a pilot to make it perfect.
what a great scale model, you should be proud of your self for the detail you have built into the model and what a great test flight, well done I wish I had your skill.Thank you for showing.
manuel, this video is probably the most beautiful among all those that you have done so far. The job you did is at least excellent and you must be proud and fierce of it. You are a great example to follow for all of us. Very respectfully your italian friend Fabio
JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT YOUR ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS TOTALLY SICK. THE WORK YOU PUT INTO EVERY SINGLE THING IS JUST AWESOME. LOVE YOUR WORK. KEEP POSTING MORE VIDS.
Awesome job on this beast K2, got 1400 hrs combat time in the "H" model Slick and a few more in the Charley model gunships...our outfit never got the Cobra, but they covered us all the time.(probably the reason I'm still here!) Don't know when the Gyreens started flying them, but think they ended up with flat plate canopies for radar attenuation. We have a round canopy ARMY AH-1 on a plith down here at the VFW HQ. GREAT MODEL, GREAT AUTOMATION, Great Flyer!! Cheers! "Stick"
Brilliant detail - just perfect. I would imagine it would not be terribly difficult to fit a miniature video camera in the sensor pod, and transmitter in the body someplace and get pictures back from it. Excellent work - well done!
This is a VERY impressive build! Detail is exceptional.I like how you filmed it to make it look more scale resulting in exceptional realism. Enjoy.Enjoy!
Excellent mod, wow, amazing finish. I did not realize I was looking at a real one early on in this video until it flashed back to your creation and I noticed a difference in the Rocket Load out. Needless to say you nailed the fuselage. Excellent MOD...
Lots & lots of work..................... really, very nice attention to detail. I wonder how much more working electronics would weight it down and of course as has been mentioned a turbine engine (which most certainly would add power to compensate for the extra special details of firing guns, chaff and a pair of G. I. Joe pilots. All in all, would be proud to fly her.................. Semper Fi
Very much impressed by the work you have done on this Cobra! You show things in your vid I even didn't know were possible.... Taking scale to a whole new level!
very nice a labor of love to be sure. you should make models for a living The accuracy of the stenciling is impressive and the blending of new features is seamless. nice WORK
A total MASTERPIECE thank you for sharing the footage of how it was made as well it gives it so much more meaning. Congratulations and looking forward to in flight video...
That is straight sick! You don't see the true marine grey paint job on models. I did a UH-1N and airbrushed it the same way. Not a flying model, just a static Revell. Awesome job on the details....
Holy crap. This brought back so much memories. I use to be with the Viper squadron and worked with UH-1N and AH-1W before the upgraded to the Yankee and Zulu's. This job is such a master piece that I can differentiate between cowlings. I had a little experience with Yankees and Zulu's but I believe you put an extra pair of ***-49 sensors on the aft section of the tail boom where the ***-39 would be placed instead. I just loved how the TSU and turret look around at the same time. Keep up the great work man. (***) I can't disclose for it is COMSEC material.
Amazing job, it looks great. Two things: 1. It has the exhaust of the Whiskey Cobra (AH-1W) rather than that of the Zulu Cobra. The actual exhaust for the Zulu Cobra is horizontal and a bit more spread out. 2. The rockets are painted like dummies (blue = inert fill or practice). Give it some warshots!
I'd say some real Viper Pilot would love to have it at home :) Very much work in details, that shows. As modeller myself, I can imagine the work you put into it!
I would love to see a night vid of this thing w/ its lights and dimly-lit setting so that you can just barely see the the heli but yet showcases the running lights. That would Rock!
Amazing job, and it looks great. Two points: 1. It has the exhasut from a whiskey cobra, not a zulu cobra. There's wuite a big difference between the two (the zulu cobra exhaust is horizontal and more spread out) 2. You have the rockets painted to be dommies (blue=inert fill). Give it some warshots!
I know this sounds crazy but they should have one of these (with a built-in camera) for every Marine regiment patrolling in Afghanistan. It's impossible to tell the scale of any aircraft in the air - so the Taliban would run like hell if they saw one of these coming after them! It would be a good way to flush them out - or to foil an ambush... Hell, it would prob be more effective then the small drones they're using now.
ابوغاده الغامدي I would not make death threats on the internet against someone saying they want to use a model to scare people considered to be the enemy of the USA. Its a touchy subject after 9-11. And besides that fact, he never said Muslims. He said Taliban. Its not our problem which religion they choose to distort for their own personal gain. If any religion calls for killing, its an ignorant one period.
Its really easy to tell the scale (size) of something coming at you in the air. Also the sound Apaches make in the valleys is something you could not recreate in a rc. Side note: That is one beautiful heli, nice job.
KraziIvan Yes, maybe to you and me it's easy, but don't forget that we're dealing with complete idiots who believe God's going to reward them with 72 white skinned virgins and bless them with a eternal erection!!! lol
This old Jarhead is freaking amazed at this puppy..... Would love to have one of these I would put a camera in where it should be and put actual .22 caliber guns up front and patrol my neighborhood with it!!!!!
Thanks Fabio...as you already knows, is not only for airguns we live !! Was totally fun build this Cobra, specially the litle details, fun think about what kind of material to use, how to work on it ...Etc Etc
Super job in detail, thought I was viewing a true size Viper. KrumR, My? to U, why do you have training-rounds in the rocket tubes? Blue painted munitions are for training, its a safety thing. Live rounds are painted green or gray with a yellow ring stripe on its nose, anything larger than 20mm. --- Note; To you "thumb-downers", find a corner and make yourself happy. Thanks. good vid.
I was showing my wife the insane detail you put into that; an awesome job. She said "But there's nobody flying it!". Good point I thought - it needs a pilot to make it perfect.
I'm a retired AH-64D pilot and although I never flew a Cobra, I must say you are an artist for sure! Great job!
give me your ah64
you obviously have a natural ability to achieve this kind of detail. I could look at this achievment all day long
The attention to detail is INSANE on this Super Cobra!!! Hats off to the builder!
what a great scale model, you should be proud of your self for the detail you have built into the model and what a great test flight, well done I wish I had your skill.Thank you for showing.
I probably have seen hundreds of these RC Jets/Helis videos, but the details on this one is mind blowing, this guy(s) did a really great job.
Very nice workmanship. (Former Marine AH1J mechanic)
Brilliant execution of a difficult concept. WELL DONE SIR!
Great great work. I'm sending your terrific vid to a friend who flew an earlier model in combat. Congrats.
Amazing detail and functionality, well done a truly great model. Thanks for sharing.

There's no doubt you put a REAL lot of time and money into this bird, and you did an amazing job. Beautiful
Amazing work of art. The level of detail speaks alot about your level of passion.
One of the sickest things I've ever seen!! Had me searching for the flight video???
JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT YOUR ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS TOTALLY SICK. THE WORK YOU PUT INTO EVERY SINGLE THING IS JUST AWESOME. LOVE YOUR WORK. KEEP POSTING MORE VIDS.
Your excellent MODEL workmanship is appreciated. Thank you for sharing.

I second that. Oo-muffin-RAH! Never a more comforting sight than one of those bad boys alongside, "hot" or not.

Respect for the work that's gone into this!
Your dedication and attention to detail is outstanding, very very nice work.
Dedication to the craft. So realistic. Looks very real from close camera view.
That is a work of art my friend well done! It fly's so smooth! even in that wind!
You should really be proud of this it looks fantastic
Brilliant detail - just perfect. I would imagine it would not be terribly difficult to fit a miniature video camera in the sensor pod, and transmitter in the body someplace and get pictures back from it. Excellent work - well done!

Excellent mod, wow, amazing finish. I did not realize I was looking at a real one early on in this video until it flashed back to your creation and I noticed a difference in the Rocket Load out. Needless to say you nailed the fuselage. Excellent MOD...

Simply breathtaking and I have great respect for your patience and attention to detail ;-)
Nice work of engineering art, wish I could own one like this.
Very much impressed by the work you have done on this Cobra! You show things in your vid I even didn't know were possible....
Taking scale to a whole new level!
Amazing all the way through. Modeling, piloting and videography. Thanks
You sure did a great job on it!
Incredible talent you have, the details are incredible it is a work of art.
The best replica I had ever seen.....
Luis G I agree. Fantastic work.
What a great build Like all the custom work. Mostly the tail rotor. Thanks for sharing
very nice a labor of love to be sure. you should make models for a living The accuracy of the stenciling is impressive and the blending of new features is seamless. nice WORK
Excellent modeling the scratch built additions demonstrate your ability to think outside the box I like that !
Fantastic job!!! dude. You really have a magnificent talent.
Amazing.... there is so much detail! It's nice to see someone that loves what they do.
A total MASTERPIECE thank you for sharing the footage of how it was made as well it gives it so much more meaning. Congratulations and looking forward to in flight video...
WOW, very stable platform! The detail is superb!
That is straight sick! You don't see the true marine grey paint job on models. I did a UH-1N and airbrushed it the same way. Not a flying model, just a static Revell.

Holy crap dude! So much work and love! I have same amount in respect going your way buddy!!! Just WOW!

That is an obscene amount of detail! Great looking bird, man!
I noticed the simulated pop rivets. O_o
Awesome... respect to you for all the hard work you put into it.
damn pal. you did one hell of an amazing job modifying your cobra! Very very nice! looks very real to me...

Great work. Your attention to detail is excellent.
as an rc heli pilot, and ah-1 cobra fan, this is a dream!
Great flying for such windy conditions.
I'd say some real Viper Pilot would love to have it at home :) Very much work in details, that shows. As modeller myself, I can imagine the work you put into it!
Great chopper, great building skills!
This is absolutely awesome! I am just now getting into RC helicopters and this is just exciting.... Great work.

Great flight in the windy conditions. Keep the videos coming.
The rotating barrels complete it. Great work.
I would love to see a night vid of this thing w/ its lights and dimly-lit setting so that you can just barely see the the heli but yet showcases the running lights. That would Rock!
the detail is so good which make me think you shrunk a real HELI

Too Damned Awesome!!!! I love to see creative people enjoying their creativeness!
Excellent job dude. Alot of detailed work!
Nice job you out did yourself on that Viper!
Amazing job, and it looks great. Two points:

i agree and if things get crazy just add a few "rocket fireworks" to make sure they run

ابوغاده الغامدي Yes, they are stupid... "Uneducated" to be more precise.
Its really easy to tell the scale (size) of something coming at you in the air. Also the sound Apaches make in the valleys is something you could not recreate in a rc.

Was totally fun build this Cobra, specially the litle details, fun think about what kind of material to use, how to work on it ...Etc Etc
Amazing work! Congrats.
