Agustín Barrios Mangoré was a prominent Paraguayan guitarist and composer, born on May 23, 1885, and passing away on August 7, 1944. He is considered one of the greatest classical guitar virtuosos of the 20th century and has left a significant legacy in guitar music.
"Julia Florida" is one of Barrios Mangoré's most well-known compositions. Also known as "Barcarola," this piece was written in honor of Julia Martínez, his student.
