I actually like the voiceovers because you know exactly what to say and you're not like fumbling over words and I like the fact that you were laughing at yourself I learned a lot I'm going to be honest I became a new subby tonight and I laughed when you started laughing at yourself measuring and putting it down measuring then putting it down I could not stop laughing cuz I was like that stuff I'd be doing by myself in my room in my little crafting space and I'm just like your dodo brain you already did something and why are you redoing it I love it it's very personal these are really good videos like there's nothing wrong with you talking over and doing your Facebook live I just want you to understand that it's not about how the video is it doesn't have to be fancy it's about what you're trying to convey so if you're teaching me something visually that's all I really need to see is you doing it you know if you want to do a talk show or you want to do something else and that front face stuff it's really hard to see sometimes so this overhead and the voice over is perfect if it wasn't for you constantly telling us that you were doing a Facebook live we would have just thought you was watching something on TV until we noticed that was actually you because there's slight delay so it doesn't seem like you're actually doing something live it just looks like you're watching another video and if you didn't mention it to us we would never know

Where do you get the clear ribbon with foil print?
Can you tell me where on harwin did you get some of your mum supplies.
Do you try to stick with all gold or all silver trinkets when you purchase them? Do you have your customers choose silver or gold, or how do you decided when to use which?
I choose mostly silver. That’s what everybody likes in my area. I do have some gold in case anybody wants them. I had a senior mum this past year That wanted white, silver, and gold. I’m not really a gold fan but it actually turned out really pretty

Why staple the ribbon and not hot glue it? Or both?
Because stabling is faster. You don’t have to wait for the glue to set. Also builds up so it keeps it flatter. There are certain times where we will glue and staple. Just depends on the circumstance.
What are you using for the white circles where ur putting the ribbons and staples
Those are backers. You can make your own out of posterboard

I’m not sure. This video was two or three years ago. I’m sure I say it in the video or maybe look at the cutting mat as I’m cutting.

It’s been a while but I believe that is a medium mum so I think it’s going to be at 18 or 20 inches on the skirt. All of the backers are exactly the same size. So if you use a 5 inch backer for the head, then you use a 5 inch backer for the skirt and a 5 inch clean backer at the end.

Is there somewhere I can find what size a freshman mum is and what size a senior mum is so I know how long to cut the ribbons. And the garters.
I wish there was a one size fits all on these, but there’s not. You can make them any size or shape you want. That’s up to you and the customer or the person that you’re making it for. I don’t have set sizes for specific grade levels. I do make the ribbons for my garters between 12 and 15 inches long. I find that length is perfect.

What arevthe sizes of the ribbons you used and the backers?
I would have to go back and watch, but most of my points are 6 inches fold it over and stapled
As a person who uses hot glue like for everything I decided to go to Dollar tree and follow RUclips Crafters suggestion of getting those little silicone finger protectors thought I was being very snazzy and fancy and I think I burned my hand more with it because I kept not wanting to use those fingers so I understand cuz it mentally makes you think you got a Band-Aid on and you don't want to hurt those fingers because they remind you of those finger band days or finger covers they give you if you work in food service we call them something else but I'm going to keep it PC LOL

This one was from a while back. I think they’re 2 1/2 inches for the back layer.
Where do you buy your ribbon from? I have looked at Hobby Lobby, Michaels and various places online and not finding what I need.

@@thesoutherncottage I wanted to make several of the braids and was looking for the Satin Acetate ribbon. Is that even the right one? Anyway, looking for the 1/2" to 3/4" width. This will be for next year, my daughters homecoming is this Friday. So I will be better prepared for the next one. ;)

Where did you get your stapler?
I got it from monsterspirit.com. When you go to that website look over on the left-hand side and you’ll see staplers close to the bottom. Click on that and they are the only ones they carry.

How would you make a mum for a cheer bag zipper pull
I’m not sure. I’ve never made one. But I do make hardware that you can buy to attach them. Maybe use acrylics and ribbon instead of a mum
